  • We are excited to share this video with you! Thank you to John and Miriam of John and Miriam Asphalt Odyssey. We purchased the helmets from them and the cardo system from Amazon. It is an easy install and the cardo worked great on our first ride with them. We are so blessed to be living this life and to have you be a part of it makes it even more special. SEASON 2 EPISODE 28.

This was indeed a good video, on a couple of different levels.
First, I too two have i90 helmets, just Harley-Davidson branded models.
I’m a new (62 year old) rider and opted to NOT have any distractions so even my helmet didn’t have any communications built-in. Now that I’ve had a little less than a year in the saddle, I’ve FINALLY ridden with someone else and communications would have been GREAT since I forgot to get our signals straight before the fact. Additionally, I needed directions to a destination and had to look it up and memorize it, where even a phone mount would have been helpful.
So researching the comm system after riding with a friend, I learned these helmets are plummed internally for the Smart HJC system built in collaboration with Sena. Their HJC 20B was the better option for that helmet but was also seemingly a bit cost-prohibitive, so I kept looking. Though there were many less expensive options out there, for features, I ended up going with the Cardo PackTalk Edge. The only issue with your video “for me” was seeing where/how “exactly” you placed the velcro for the mic. I ended up having to leave the small single piece off because it was too close to the cheek snap and I couldn’t get one of them to snap back in place. As it is though, it’s so far been secure enough and now I’m more confident mounting the next system in the other helmet. Thank you!
As for the other area your video was helpful, I’m loving that mobile set up you have as I’ve been contemplating doing the same.
While I’m guessing you have videos out there forit, I wonder if you might share a little more of the specs of your truck and trailer? The interior of your trailer, from what was seen in the video, looked more like a stationary piece of real estate than any other trailer I’ve seen in a WHILE! I’m about to start shopping for one and would love to have an idea of the specs of your unit, as well as the truck used to pull it. And how do you store and transport your bike, while on the road in the mobile home?

We sold everything in 2020 and we have lived on the road for 4 years. We have enough 350 and we pull Riverstone 39 FKth wheel we have been to 32 states so far. The camper is 44 ft and with the truck attached at 60. If you look at our videos on our site we have an upstairs kitchen, the living room in the middle and the bedroom in the back. Even though it's considered a toy hauler. It's technically a garage model so the Can-Am is in the back. We park where we feel safe and then we take the Can-Am on many adventures. So please check out our channel and subscribe so much for the kind comments. You can find us www.youtuve.con/HetteshWorld

Appreciate the response, (though I didn't understand some of it). It gave me enough information to get me started on investigating the gear to consider!
      Safe travels!
Will definitely go check out the site!

Thank you. Having watched your video, it made the installation so much easier... Same helmet and same Cardo system. I have had the Cardo Packtalk Bold for a few years on my main helmet. But I needed to install a spare helmet base kit to the same HJC i90 you guys have. This way, no matter what helmet I take, I can move the Packtalk Bold over to it. Thanks again!

That looks like a nice setup. We used to ride. My wife rode her own bike, so the comm system was especially important for us. It made our rides much more enjoyable.
We now have Lectric bikes with the Sena helmets. The Sena helmet has a built-in comm system. They also add to the safety factor.
    Great video.

Now is the time to buy them. The one we purchased is the one that was $800 forever and they just came out with that new version so we got them for 389 which is an awesome deal. We use them for the first time 2 days ago and it is incredible how well they work we are very happy with them. Thank you so much for watching we were wondering how you were doing and if you were okay we didn't know if you were getting snow or not.

Very cool - they look great and more importantly should give you better protection since they fit better than your old ones. I just got a new one as well, I had a full face and wanted a modular plus our communications was only bluetooth and could not communicate with other Spyders on rides. I ended up with a Valiant II and Sena 50R. Helmet fits much better and already put the new comms to a good test on a 4 hour Spyder Ride with 17 others! I hear the Cardo is also a great system!!

Yes we have had a few rides and it's nice to talk to each other. Plus when my daughter called with the grandbaby I could speak to them which is great. Still breaking the helmet in. It's hold my big head pretty good lol. But it seems to be molding in. Wow 17 others that is cool.

Great install video! I used this as a guide for my Packtalk Edge installation into the same i90 helmet, but noticed one difference with the Bold headset - you had square speaker velcro mounts instead of round? Probably not a big deal but I caught that compared to the round ones that came with the Edge. This helmet is also very snug, to the point I thought I got one that is too small but my head measurement is supposed to be a large. I can feel it loosening up a little the more I wear it, so maybe it's designed that way.

    • @HetteshWorld
      @HetteshWorld  2 года назад

If it is in Mesh more 8 hours and if Bluetooth mood is 12. In our testing we rode 8 hours in Mesh more and still had 25% left. They recharge in about 2 hours.
