I agree with your description. A lot of the parts don't sound GBA-fit. Good, but not what someone would hear on the GBA. I guess each soundfont is good for each game's set style of music.

The guitars in RSE are different to those in B2W2. They were either too high a pitch (which hurt my ears) or too low when I lowered the notes. I couldn't get them to fit into the rest of the theme :/

Other than that, this is perfect! I love the panning and your instrumentation; it really fits! Also, I'm not sure if the percussion was the same in this arrangement as it is in the original, but it's really well done here, too! You should do more of these RSE remixes.
This is really cool. I like hearing this piece in completely different samples and I think you did a pretty good job arranging this! The only thing I might suggest is that, if you're using soundfonts, at around 0:21 it starts to sound empty. Especially around 0:52. Some staccato strings might work during those sections to provide some backing and some of the brass sounds like it lasts too long. Perhaps having them perform the decrescendos earlier than they did might help.
challenge accepted. since the hacking scene is able to insert custom instruments, and because Nintendo could have done so as well, I include amen breaks in my demakes. less empty that way. then again, I could always hand edit the song to have an "amen break" using the actual drum soundfont... that's an idea...
