Hey Coach - great build. Did you need to weigh the platform with anything to keep it from coming up when they are using the vertical bands and jumping up. I plan to build one for some high school guys but worried the platform might be too light -
No I didn’t have to put weights under it. The wood is so heavy
Please be sure to subscribe. Thanks 🙏🏾
Great job brother
Thanks man
Agreed 5k + is way to much to pay for it.. this is great.. starting mine this weekend. thank you..
Be sure to subscribe. Thanks 🙏🏾
It's good give resistents but the only thing is there's no continuous tention the bands are not ment to be slack even when inder no resistance.
Great content hope everyone has a blessed weekend. Ephesians 2:8-9

@@jmakabd103 I don't see the bands on Amazon could u send me a link to it?
@@jmakabd103 which sun sign resistance bands do u think would last long the tension on them I'm walking onto a college team this year
Awesome build man! I have a question on the weight of resistance when doing the vertical jump. What pound would you suggest for a 14 year old young man? 6.0ft 160.. Also do you have a link for the bands for the quick feet workout I can’t seem to find anything like it. Thanks again and god bless!
Hey Mr. Preston My name is Evan I’m 16 and I had a lil setback last year that caused me to have 3 surgeries and I’ve been getting back in shape for basketball since the last one. I was wondering if you could him me back with some instructions because I want to build my own too!
I put all of the information under video description. Be sure to subscribe. Thanks 🙏🏾
Looks great but the whole idea of the vertimax is it is cable not resistance bands so u get even resistance threw the entire range of motion
Yeah I get that!
Exactly. From ur fast twitch to mild twitch to slow twitch muscle. If u notice most people that start on it young dont tear acl mcl and etc. U see fasciitis with them which says they r on there feet to much. But that's good thing in some situations
Where did you get your resistance bands?
Amazon. Please be sure to subscribe. Thanks 🙏🏾
I like the idea, but everyone I've seen do this has the same issue in that the resistance bands are not taught until after the athlete leaves the ground. Meaning they'll feel the resistance as they explode upwards being pulled down by the band, but only after the vast majority of the muscle movement is complete. Not saying it's useless, but definitely doesn't replace what the vertimax does. I wish it did, but it doesn't, cause the alternative is expensive.
You can purchase shorter bands. Bands are sold in different lengths and and strengths so im sure you could find a short band that's taught in a squat position.
This is correct. The reason the vertimax works so well is the cables retract and give proper resistance throughout the movement from bending down to jumping all the way up. Very hard to simulate that with anything like this
I have a question what did you do with the other piece of the rtd plywood?
I built my wife a mini vertimax for her to workout at home.

What bands and bungee did you use?
I got the bands and bungee cords from Amazon. You can buy any of them. Type in resistance bands and you’ll see them. Thanks for watching the video. Please subscribe
@@PrestonIsland I typed them in and can't find them
How does 6 2 foot 2x4s go around? That can’t be right. You must’ve meant 6 4 foot 2x4s because that doesn’t add up dimensions wise
Yes. Be sure to subscribe. Thanks 🙏🏾
You right@SplashSeed, I tried with the directions he gave, things didn't add up. I had to go back and get another 2x4. I used a total of 3 2x4 in my project had to piece together due to cutting 2ft parts.
@@tharris1213 I cut them in half and I stacked them on top of each other to get the platform higher
What is the dimensions of the platform?
Cut it to the size of your liking. Be sure to subscribe. Thanks 🙏🏾
Can you make a list
I put the list under the video
Please be sure to subscribe. Thanks 🙏🏾
Great job. The video doesn't show how you started it and what you had to do to build the base.
Sorry about that. If you have any questions, comment and I’ll help you out the best I could. Also please subscribe if you haven’t already. Thanks
Best to spend $250 than $4000. That way when you realize the money wasted for minuscule barely noticeable results. Wont feel so bad putting in the shed never to use again. Or the classified listening for $100 for the time and money wasted. The though of the dumpster wont hurt your heart either
Nice build. But you miss the whole premise and function of the Vertimax!
Which is?
There only 100 on eBay smh
What’s $100 on eBay?
Don’t Forget to subscribe! Thanks
No!
