The film shows the most striking buildings, streets, squares, and rivers of the city of Eindhoven. The intertitles give their location. The film opens with the arrival of a train at the station. The following shots include e.g. the city hall, the St. Catherine Church, and the Stratumse Dijk. The filmmaker also aims his camera at the inhabitants of the city; we see for example women doing laundry in the Dommel. Atop the water tower, he gives a panoramic view of the surroundings.

Dat is niet veel meer :( Van mij hoeft echt niet álles bewaard te blijven, want tsjonge, wat een armoedige troep af en toe. Maar in de naoorlogse jaren was het gemeentebestuur wel héél erg voortvarend in het opstoten van Eindhoven in de vaart der volkeren. Zo ongeveer alles moest plat om van Eindhoven een moderne stad te maken.

De oude watertoren stond ongeveer op de plek van het huidige 50 mtr PieterHoogenband zwembad, ongeveer 100 mtr van de markante waterbollen. Afgebroken in 1970. Zoveel groen nog in die tijd, eindhovens stadskern lijkt kilometers ver weg. Stratum was toen nog geen deel van Eindhoven, het was een aparte gemeente. In de jaren 60 werden jammergenoeg zoveel historische gebouwen neergehaald in het kader van vernieuwing zoals ook het oude gemeentehuis aan de Rechtestraat in 1967.
