- What is a husband's responsibility? Derek Prince shares successful marriage tips for men and distinguishes five responsibilities of a husband:
1. As husband, love your wife - as Christ loved the Church (Ephesians 5:25).
2. Be the head of the wife and children (1 Corinthians 11:3) - that means (1) receive input from the family, (2) make decisions, (3) initiate action and (4) give ongoing direction.
3. Provide to your wife and family - which means more than just financially provision (1 Timothy 5:8).
4. Wash your wife with God's Word - wash your wife and kids with the Word of God (Ephesians 5:26).
5. It is a husband's responsibility to nourish and cherish your wife (Ephesians 5:29).

If men ceased to be doormats who "love" their wives sentimentally but with no POWER ! If men started to stop letting their wives be in control , what a change it would be !
But men today are so foolish and weak. Just like Samson mesmerised by LOVE who ended up on Delilha's laps , like a kid on his mother's laps.
My husband was like this and he went to be with Jesus almost ten years ago....I miss his type sooo much!!

Where are the men who desire to do these things the best they can? I would like to tell you thank you! And for those are learning to do this as well, I respect you for willing to change and live according to the word of God.
Men cannot be these things because of femanism. Woman have fought for equality and achieved it over the past five decades. If the man is the "head" of the home that means he is appointed above his wife thus not equal and then women complain of inequality. Women also are in the workforce now with equal pay as men and graduating college at a higher rate than men, how can men be providers when women are making just as much as men if not more? You ladies got what you've fought for, Stop complaining that men are not what you want them to be.

So what if a husband can't provide for his family due to a injury or sickness? Are they biblically doing something wrong? I know of families that husband's can't work no more and the wife becomes the provider for the family. Is there anything wrong with that biblically?

Those modern Christians who make it al about the female (first in sin and trangression) carefully avoid to say that HER conduct is what can win her husband to salvation.
But modern Christians don't care about men's salvation anymore since they make it all about the woman as if the woman was the new idol.
Ultimately you have to decide whether to obey God or the demons in your husband. If your marriage isn’t a biblical one and your husband refuses to repent and change his ways then you do need to leave for the sake of your soul. If you are under his demons you are in danger.
Naturally years of prayer come first and speaking to the Lord. He will give you peace about what to do and he will make a way in the wilderness.

Where has the conduct of the WIFE gone ? The Bible always focuses way more on the conduct of the woman towards the man than the other way round.
But modern preachers have just turned everything upside down.
Nothing is more male-centric than the Bible : the woman is made for the man and because of him. It is crystal clear when we read the Bible.
You have things like a Proverbs 31 wife but you have NO male equivalent.

I have been out of work for a very long time. I've probably applied for a thousand jobs by now, and I've been to countless job interviews. Still nothing. Does this make me "worse than an unbeliever" against my own will?

@@LambeauLeeeper well it's been nearly 8 yrs for me. Its caused me unbelievable stress. I've been accused of having no faith by some people in my church. My wife is exhausted from working. An in-law thought he could try to beat me up over it. I needed a job 8 yrs ago.

Fast and pray. A serious fast 7 days to 21 days. Jesus said that some demons only come out with prayer and fasting. When job loss is that prolonged there is a strongman (powerful demon) of lack and poverty on your life that needs to be broken off. Because yes you should be working, there are jobs out there, even if it means moving or starting your own business in a simple way. Please do the fast. I am involved in a 21 day fast (only water for 21 days but lots of prayer) and everyone on it has had miracles of provision, new jobs, healing, bank accounts filled - whatever they have needed. God commands us to do it, it’s not a suggestion , just as providing for your family is not a suggestion and he hugely rewards us for it. He will give you the strength.

Why are men expected to be providers when women are making just as much as men if not more and graduating college at a higher rate than men? I expect women to provide just as much, they fought for equal pay so now i expect them to provide just as much.

You should understand the context of when that is written.
I don’t know that to be a universal command or if it was a command specifically to the church of Corinth (a church in that time having apparent issues with roles and behaviors). I’ve always been confused by this, as well. Some believe they should not. Others believe they can, but not in a church service as one having authority over the congregation.

If the fall was that early, before man had been even created, how then does God call all of creation very good at the end of creation?!?

There was no gap (Gap Theory) between Gen 1:1 and Gen 1:2.
