As a wife I agree! Many times when I feel offended or hurt by something my husband did or didn't do when I go to prayer the Lord brings it up and deals with me through the word, or deeper repentance or just reminding me that how much God loves me, has mercy on me and how I can do the same to my husband for example then the peace of God fills my heart and I ALWAYS come out of my prayer closet full of renewed hope and love for my husband. Many times also just being quiet like Jesus helps so much and taking everything to Him throughout the day in prayer. My marriage has gotten a lot better not even by talking to my husband lol but by spending more time with Jesus. God fights for me!
Im a wife and I said this exact thing to my mom this morning. (Regarding a mutual friend). The only way to heal a marriage and to keep it healthy is to look inward instead of constantly pointing the finger at your husband. If you want to change him, start with yourself ❤

Marriage relationship is the number one classroom in God's school house. Seeing Christ in other believers is what eliminates a lot of heart ache. As married couples.. seeing Christ in each other is the message of the church. Trying to be a good husband or wife will usually come to a negative. I have seen some that seem to make it work. But generally speaking you must see Christ in one another as is the plan of God. What does that mean seeing Christ in each other. It means Christ is expressed as your creation. Christ coming out of you as you are. If a believer understands the message of grace.. lifestyle will follow. It has everything to do with life and godliness 😀 if we understand the grace message, it would save believers a lot of therapy bills.

It's not easy for me to hear men of God speak the same way as if they are unsaved or unregenerated.. saying that they are no perfect husband's. This shouldn't even be in the mouths of believer's in Jesus Christ. Why? Because Jesus said to be perfect as your Father in heaven Is perfect. The world discription of perfect is different from God's Way of perfect. But I'm hearing too much of the ppl of God speaking out of ignorance concerning this word. I know that Derek was a man submitted to God and was used by God 🙏. But there's some of the things that he says only put fuel to the fire of ignorance. God loves us Very Much. Everyone of us. But it's us who must needs be submitted to Him to renew our minds to think right and believe right. If one is not completely submitted to God to do this? This person will continue to struggle in ignorance. When they can have light in the situation. All of us came in a battle for our souls, and it's a good fight too. It's because of lack of knowledge why ppl are perishing, even unnecessary suffering. We will suffer persecutions for choosing to live holy or Godly as the scripture says. But to suffer from things that you can know what to do is lacking knowledge. And it's not about husband's not being perfect. To me, that is saying then the husband is a child in his behavior. Because in the bible to be perfect is to be mature, to be of full Age mature. So the men then would be immature. Still behaving like a child or children. Paul's talks about perfection. His reference is to spirit. He that is joined to the Lord is one spirit. In mind there is always imperfections. But Paul address's those that are perfect.
