    Love the orange leather!
    I was agonizing between citizen’s pro-diver and victorinox this model, choose to buy this one.
    Waiting for arrival, can’t wait!
    Thanks for the review. Really helped!

    I'm getting this for an anniversary present in two weeks. First saw it on the Victorinox website.

    Titanium grade 5, more commonly called 6al-4v Ti, is by far the most available titanium alloy. It is used for aircraft structures and is both harder and more difficult to machine compared to the commercially pure grades of Ti used in such applications as knee replacements. There is no such thing as "thick sandblasting." However, 6-4 Ti can be anodized. The color and your observation of this watch's scratch resistance seems to point to it being anodized. Uncoated 6-4 is about as scratch resistant as 316 stainless steel. Anodizing is very effective in increasing surface hardness to protect against scratching. Just saying ...

      sanjursan it can also be blasted and gunmetal coated. I don't believe it is hard anodized.

    Does strap code make a leather strap that would fit this watch I couldn’t find the size listed on victorinox’s website or anywhere really.. do you know by chance the size/ style bracelet that this carries so I could advance my search for replacements? Thanks!!

    • @watchreport

      William it’s a 21mm strap, but you shouldn’t have an issue fitting 22mm rubber or soft leather on it.

    Hi, thanks for the review. I really want to get one, but I am a little worried about the body resistance against the scratches. Someone told me that some scratches appeared on his watch after just one week of using it!

    • @mehrankhodapanah5707
      @mehrankhodapanah5707 7 лет назад

      Is that true? Or it depends on the way he used that?

    • @watchreport
      @watchreport  7 лет назад

      Mehran Khodapanah don't know, as I can't say what he did to the watch, but yes, if you are hard on it, it will scratch. It is a a coating after all...under normal use it should be fine. Keep in mind, any can and will scratch; some just can take a little more abuse than others.

      WatchReport.com thanks for answering. Just one more question! Between the titanium and stainless steel version, which one is more scratch resisting?

    • @watchreport
      @watchreport  7 лет назад +1

      Mehran Khodapanah it is a draw. The Titanium is bead blasted but it holds up ok, the stainless has a polished bezel area that can get scratched up pretty easily. These are meant to be rugged watches though so if you get one, wear it, enjoy it and don't worry about scratches and scrapes. :-)

      I just got a stainless steel pro diver.
      It's very beautiful and tough looking watch.
      Just buy what you like more and use it, Life is short...

    Is it me or it doesnt look like the second hand hits very well the minute markings on the dial?! Kinda off especially from the 20 minute marker to 40 - 45.

    • @watchreport
      @watchreport  7 лет назад

      TheKillahAkASuperP not you. All Inox I have reviewed as well as other watches with this movement seem to have this issue.

      Woah, i didnt knew the Ronda 715 had these problems, nothing major tho, but me always looking for that perfect detail, i've noticed this issue right away. Thanks.

      It's not the movement, it's the alignment of the hands. You can get near perfect alignment of quartz with a few goes of removing and re-installing the hands

    Does the original INOX stainless steel get lots more scratches on it compared to this? I kind of want to get a steel INOX with a stainless bracelet or this titanium one with a gray strap. I'm just afraid that the original with steel band may feel really heavy and get scratched up easy compared to the titanium one which could be much lighter and not have to worry about scratching much so i'd probably where it more.

    • @watchreport
      @watchreport  6 лет назад +1

      Kelly Beck the Stainless steel model is not hardened or coated or anything, so it will scratch like any other stainless steel watch.

    would be better if they made the second hand move continuously like on Bulova

    a "thick sandblasting"? it's a raw material...

    • @watchreport

      Unfinished titanium is very different and they would not make a watch that isn’t finished in some way. With watches, titanium is either sand-blasted or bead blasted or satin brushed. This is a sand blasted finish on the Inox.

    Seems a lot of talking oppose to how to engage in the watch .... way too long of an video ... sorry but I didn’t get much out of it !!

      Sorry it didn’t do it for you. This was a quick video from a few years ago because I already did a full video on the stainless steel one before this titanium version, which is the same, except not titanium. Also I had to chuckle that you find a 7 min video too long.
