  • Catch is a blend of human hair and heat friendly fiber. Enjoy the review of her in sandyblonde rooted.

The color and style looks really good on you!
I’ve had a bad experience with heat friendly fiber (my RW started frizzing after just a few wears) . Having one fibre that could last years and mix it with another that lasts just a few months does not make sense to me. How do you feel about that and do you know the % of the two fibers?

I am not a fan of heat friendly fiber on it's own unless it's a short style that doesn't make contact with clothing. Still requires occasional repairing via a flat iron but a mid-long length HD hairpiece is a nightmare.
When mixed with human hair though I'm a lot happier with it. Still wouldn't do a really long style that runs down my back but mid length seems fine. I wear Shyla by Envy a few times per week and she's just as perfect as the first time I wore her 6+ months ago.
% of each fiber varies per the manufacturer but is probably 50/50 to 70/30 HD/HH at the lowest.

Thanks for the review! I was looking for somebody trying the sandy-blonde rooted, human hair from Ellen Wille, and I guess this is the closest I'll get... On the sizing... For the benefit of people watching...... I have a super petite head.... there are some tricks for taking in wigs, if you are nifty with a pair of scissors + thread and needle. Not for the faint-hearted and whatever you are going to try - ideally try it first on a wig that you are about to "retire". :) But it is possible and for somebody with a super small head, there are no options.. unless you want to wear wigs that were created for 6-year old (Hello "Miley" by Rene of Paris..!) or, unless you want the wig weighing down on your ears and bulking in double layers at the back. Maybe some day all wig manufacturers will start making their models in multiple different sizes, like clothes... There isn't just one or two sizes of heads - on adults. The variation is pretty big. But until that day... sit down in your sofa in front of a multi-part series, and start cutting and sewing... There are super high-end models of course, that are bespoke or available in 4-5 sizes, but these are the luxury end models in the multiple thousands price ranges.

Yes, the size options aren't quite what they should be. It's why we spend time customizing wigs for our clients because there are times when it's the only possible solution for that person. Good job venturing into that task! Impressive!

Absolutely! The work you are doing is so critical for people with alopecia.

Great reveiw. The lighting is excellent to see the colour sandy blond .Beautiful wig.
I am waiting for a couple wigs by Ellen Wille ..my first good wigs that should fit my smaller head.
Margaret is so kind to offer free returns if colour or style don't truly suit when you just try it on with a cap ..I learnt an expensive lesson with
a company that kept 20% back service charge and there are many that do no refund .

Thank you for the comment. Going through the return process is a real bummer so I try to make it less painless for those who are stuck shopping online instead of going into a shop for personal help.

I have a jon renau human hair wig and it has suddenly become frizzy and dry on the lower third of the wig. I take good care of my wigs and deep condition them with washings. Is there anything I can do to keep the hair from fluffing out so much? I use silicone (pink spray) and coconut oil and argon oil. These HH wigs are so expensive, I am trying to save this one....TIA. I love the Catch wig on you, the color and length is perfect.

      Which wig is it?
Is it frizzy after air drying or is it frizzy even after heat styling?

Main Street Hair Solutions it ‘s JR Nicole. Its 5 yrs old, but I don’t wear my wigs often. I have many.
It’s after heat styling mostly. The hair is very soft but as soon as I pick or comb with wide tooth comb it is clumpy and frizzy. If I pull it out on the side It stands out on its own. I’m afraid it’s dead. I’ve cut it a couple times n that helped but is now a shoulder bob. Thanks 😊

@@mattiesful Part of the issue you're having stems from the fact that Nicole isn't made from remy human hair. Non-Remy hair tends to frizz and tangle more easily.
5 years is a long time for a wig. I know you haven't worn Nicole full time but it's still a long time that you've owned her.
And since you said the hair sticks out on it's own after you pull it away from the cap it makes me think the texture is way off.... like product buildup maybe? What products do you use on it and how do you go about washing and styling it?

Main Street Hair Solutions I wash in the sink, warm water and redline frizz dismiss shampoo and (sulfate free) conditioner. I put it in a plastic bag and hold hot hairdryer on it. Wrap in a towel n let sit for a couple hours.
I thought Nicole was Remy and Carrie was not. I know they don’t make Nicole any more.
      If it’s not Remy, I guess that’s what’s happened to it 😢

@@mattiesful the non-remy thing is a big source of the problem but maybe it's salvageable. I'm going to send you a link to an instructional video I show to my clients before they leave my shop with their wig. Hi--is this low density? Thank you.

Medium/low but not the lowest I've seen. I don't like a lot of density and I LOVE Catch. It just really depends on your face and how it lays, which you won't know unless it's on your head unfortunately.
