- The Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance, or B.S.A.A. for short, has been one of the most important organizations in the Resident Evil games for quite some time at this point. Being introduced to us in Resident Evil 5 with none other then series mainstay Chris Redfield lending them the credibility of his name, this organization quickly rose to be one of the most notable in fighting bioterror on a global scale. However, with their inclusion in Resident Evil 8: Village, the B.S.A.A. seems to have drastically changed since their introduction. Seemingly using bio-weapons of their own as they attempt to deal with bio-terror. So today I thought we'd take a look at what's happened to this once well respected organization, and see if we can't find out why they've had such a fall from grace.

Honestly that moment when you find That BSAA is using b.o.w.s is biggest twist in Village, but everybody just shrugs it off...
Watching this has made me really interested in the BSAA and the Connections relationship. As you mentioned, Chris will have to indeed come face-to-face with the realization that the organization he helped found has become a possible enemy to the world. Hope the DLC or the next chronological Resident Evil focuses the BSAA's fall from grace.
The BSAA should use robot ad cybernetisation to oppose bioterrorism instead of using mutation.
That's right it would benefit humanity

Well... To be honest... That's kinda how you end up with the situation in Metal Gear's own universe. That can be it's own can of worms that are just as destructive as the mutations and viruses within Resident evil.
But on the other hand, at least robotization and cyberization doesn't result in viruses running amok and turning people into monsters. It can get out of hand in it's own ways though.
The Connections could be RE's HYDRA to RE's SHIELD that is the BSAA.
Hydra was made deals with umbrella corporation with bioweapon mutations
If Chris goes after the bsaa we definitely need to see both Jill and sheva

I wonder what type of Bioweapon the BSAA is using. If it's not something new that we've never heard of before, my guess is that they're using an advanced version of the J'avo from RE 6. Would be cool to see what's become of the C-Virus since the 2013 Neo-Umbrella incident. Whatever it is though, I'm confident it will be cool.
It's hard to say, if I remember correctly the bodies didn't have any mutations after death when you see them on the ground or the one in the helicopter, so probably not an offshoot of C. I would be interesting to see C return, but at the moment Capcom seems to be going away from viruses so I'd guess it's something new or some offshoot of mold powers.
@@kingrazzel6837 well that’s why I mentioned advanced version, one that maybe makes them more durable without the randomized mutations. I feel like Village is the last time we’ll see mold as the main enemy

Nice video I’m always watching theories lore and other videos like these cause I love RE and honestly discussing and speculating about the story and something in an upcoming game dlc etc is the best part. What me and many of my friends think not only because Jill is our fav character but because there are some clues ,is that this plot twist with BSAA is associated with her. Let’s not forget she’s one of the founders and like Chris she’s a very important member out of all of them. Also.. as we know Jill had a big past and one of the biggest lore with a dangerous past since day 1 in 1996 by surviving the mansion incident,getting infected in 3 going through all that in 5 by wesker etc etc resulting in tests and rehab by bsaa as we also read in Rev2 email. So what I mean by all these is that I think bsaa may have took advantage of her powerfull antibodies in order to create bows. Bsaa got corrupted somehow by someone or some people . We had those in the past. Raymond Jessica etc so it could be them too. Now we don’t know what’s happening with Jill because she’s absent literally since 2009 canonically but all these stuff could be happening without her knowledge and they need to also fill this big gap. Something..I can’t fully explain it ,yet…but something big is happening and is coming with a revelation and a twist.
also must of got chris dna and made clones of him and or Jill's DNA combined
@@anthonyvillarreal1651 yeah I know because those clones are like Chris model but it might’ve been just a thing without a deep meaning but Eitherway even if they got Chris’s dna it’s Jill’s antibodies that makes everything special. Again let’s not forget how they used her to perfect Uroboros basically and infect the world etc etc etc

Now *this* is what I want DLC for or Resident Evil IX to revolve around next, just Chris Redfield and Hound Wolf Squad (or even some old allies like Jill or Leon) trying to bring down the BSAA, The Connections and Blue Umbrella to stop them becoming what they originally opposed.
Not that I disliked the Winters' family story going on, I definitely loved 7 for how claustrophobic and focused it's been, but I'd certainly enjoy more looks into whatever is happening behind the scenes.

Wonder if the DLC will hint at how the bsaa were either taken over by umbrella or were always a branch of umbrella collecting samples to create bio weapons. Or intend to use Rose as the their ultimate bio weapon. And in the end Chris, Leon, Claire,Ada,Rose begin their own fight to end it all

Not a Hero DLC for RE7 states that some of Blue Umbrella Members (and founders) worked for old Umbrella, those that were not part of Raccoon trials of course but still
So if we new Umbrella will be really evil (which again, pretty lame)
It could get Old Guard vs New Guard + some of the old ones that really changed for the better
@@ddooodddoo well umbrella red was bought by Spencer to do his dirty bio work. After raccoon city, umbrella was not the same anymore. Neo umbrella in 6 was an attempt by Simmons and Carla to bring back what previous umbrella was doing. So this blue umbrella would be the third iteration that seems to actually be doing good this time. Also umbrella was Evil in the first three games and now in 7, 8 and presumably 9, it is good. It's good to see what good they can do even if I'm wrong in the end, I enjoy this storyline.
It would be really cool to see in RE9 if Chris leads the Hound Wolf Squad along with the rest of the alive allies like Jill, Sheva, Claire, Barry go against BSAA

You should make a video explaining the back story of the village like who was there before Miranda took over? Who were the original 4 lords? Why is the strong hold so damaged? So many questions like who are all the other people in lab coats in the photo with Miranda
Aren't the lab coats just members of the connections that made Eveline? Aren't the 4 lords the same ones in the game we fight? I don't think there was an original 4 apart from the ones in the game because Miranda was testing hosts for her daughter. The four lords were just the results of her experiments, powerful beings but unfit for Eva. Also, I'd assume the village and castle was full of regular people until Miranda took it over, dimetrescu has a link to the castle in her bloodline.
It was just a normal village with alcinas family probably being a Dukedom in name only. Then Miranda found the cadou there and invaded and turned the village into what it is now. With the 4 somewhat successful experiments being the 4 lords

I loved how they ending of RE8 connected back to RE5, where Chris fights bioweapons who can use weapons
I personally think the bsaa and the connections are working together and in re9 since it will be the end of the trilogy then maybe the mold will return or maybe a new virus all together 🤔 and can I just say that zombie bsaa soldier looks really cool 😎 I think the bsaa sent these bow soldiers to the village for a few reasons one gather any files or samples of the megamycete or mold two getting rid of any loose ends 🤔 so it can't be traced back to the connections.
Sounds like a pretty good theory and I wouldn't be surprised if the bsaa found Ethans crystallized body and use his mold power to create their new bow soldiers 🤔 I mean we've seen what a person infected with the mold can do and Ethan was infected with the mold but unlike the others he kept his humanity and mind so he is like mold hybrid or perfect bow so maybe in re9 we see Ethans crystallized body in a testing area and his mold power or DNA is how they make these bow soldiers 🤔

Excellent work thank you. The topic is interesting indeed. If you remember bsaa was suspicious from the beginning. With Chris being with them they stayed average cool. But later after he distanced himself they surely went down. Remember rev1 with fbc and O'Brian stuff. Re5 remember hq acted weird with sending chris and Sheva to hell. Also tricell was funding bsaa. And we all know what tricell was all about. Then goes rev2. Barry said then they did not mention about mutation on the island on the brief. I am sure they new. And with re6. Chris was missing 6 months. They didn't inform about it anyone close to him. Otherwise claire or Jill or Sheva surely went looking for him. No. Bsaa definitely doing some shady shade things here. It is time for Chris to find out.

sorry im late for this but i dont think that the Connections are making deals with the BSAA, for me it was the Blue Umbrella got to do with this but here is the twist......are they really Blue? or are they actually the Red Umbrella all along, kinda like they try gain their trust of the BSAA, US Government and UN Council...kinda like XOF Strike Force's Operation Trojan Horse from Metal Gear Solid 5.....when they finally gain their trust then finally show their true colors like flipping their Blue Patch to Red....
as for the BSAA Bio Soldiers they could be the Tyrant Types but in Human Soldier Size, remember those guns and equipment are belong to the Blue Umbrella....or they could be the ones from Netflix Series Infinite Darkness about those Infected Soldiers that are look like Tyrants, the US Senator is still alive thanks from the help of Tri-Cell he could be something to do with this....

Haha. In the No more Heroes DLC in RE7 it already explain their involvement with the Connection. In one of the file their name is redacted but is there. Find this out years ago when the DLC drop.

Yeah that is shocking the BSAA would suddenly start to become evil...
Idk, it sounds incredibly ridiculous to say the incident in Dulvey was "the result of a massive failure of the BSAA" that they needed to cover up which then leads to them abandoning their ethics. Give me a break. They got intel, they acted on the intel, they lost the battle. The truth here is that Capcom can't keep their own stories straight. Us longtime fans can't think about it too hard, because if you put Resident Evil lore under a microscope, all you get is a migraine.

I think the BSAA knew about everything and set this all up so they could research the effects of the mold and its gonna be revealed in the next game

That is actually a pretty good theory and can I just say I love the zombie soldier much more creepy and cool. I have a theory what if the bssa or the connections go back to the burned remains of the village after the explosion and find Ethans crystallized body or some mold samples that survived and take them back to their base and experiment on with them 🤔 I mean think about Ethan can reattach any of his limbs and and also has 3 years of military training so this makes me wonder what if in re9 we have scene of Ethans crystallized body and bssa researchers are taking samples of the crystal remains and injecting it into some of their best soldiers making them into these bow soldiers maybe using both the mold and some of Ethans blood 🤔 just a theory of mine

I really don't get how everyone is completely clueless that ethans wife aka MIA was literally working on the E series project meaning she literally was apart of the connections yet everyone is completely ignoring that fact
She didn't work on E series from what I understand, she was just part of the transportation team to get Eveline to Dulvey.

RE Village has the worst story ever. It's all over the place. This entire BSAA twist is never explained and the game jumps 20 years into the future just to feature a young Rose visiting her father's grave. I wish RE7 was a game about Jill Valentine. Ethan Winters and his family are simply not interesting characters, nor their existence is ever gonna matter much, no wonder why Ethan got killed off at the end of the game. No RE fan is gonna cry a river over his death. I also doubt RE9 is gonna be about Rose Winters.

@@nathanskywalker1536 Saying that "Jill is overrated" is the stupidest thing you could ever say. She only gets to shine in RE1 and 3, and Revelations, which are ancient games at this point. In RE5 she doesn't appear much and is only playable in the DLC content. RE3 Remake is the shortest RE game ever made which also wasn't faithful to its original so CAPCOM gave Jill the finger there in terms of focusing and prolonging her RC story. Jill also never appeared in any of the RE CGI movies nor series. Ironically Jill appeared more often recently as a bot of herself in games such as Marvel vs Capcom, Fortnite, Dead by Daylight and garbage Resistance. Jill Valentine needs a serious return to the RE franchise. RE characters who are truly overrated are, without a doubt, Leon and Chris.
