So, since the megamycete is something far more ancient, that means the tales of vampires and werewolves are actually based on actual encounters with mutations, no wonder the Village monsters resemble them so much, they're the old monsters, born not by the conflict of God x Devil, but by something else. Very cool way to integrate the tales with the RE lore

I feel that Capcom shouldn’t have killed her off so soon. Due to her influence on Spencer, it led to him initiating all of the bullshit we have had to deal with throughout the entire series. I think that Capcom should have saved Miranda to be killed off in RE9 so her history with Spencer could be explored more in depth. Maybe they will further explain Umbrella in RE9.
@@Theplayerofx I agree with you in a way because Spencer did eclipse her in terms of the impact his legacy left on the world. All Miranda wanted to do was resurrect her dead daughter. Her connection with Spencer and Umbrella had a lot of potential and they never really do anything with that. Spencer on the other hand wanted to create a God race with him as the God of them all. Then Wesker comes in, pulls a Kefka and kills him and steals his goal of becoming the God of a new race. The real main antagonist was always Wesker before Capcom killed him off in 5.
Capcom seems to have an issue with retaining face of evil for this series since RE5. There is always somebody doing something behind the scenes and then they are swiftly killed off. Umbrella was pretty much done for by the end of 3, tricell the face of it all by 5 then dealt with, neo-umbrella is introduced in 6 but switches sides by the next game, whatever that chinese company was in 7, post village it looks like the BSAA are about to become the new villains) No single face or organisation has been attached to the villains side in over a decade, Hell umbrella wasn't even thwarted THIS millenium.
@@krimsonk-9478 I felt like the series blew its climax way too fast during Resident Evil 5. That game essentially ended the storyline by killing off both Spencer and Wesker, finally ending the Umbrella storyline. Ever since then, it’s just a bunch of organizations taking advantage of Spencer’s legacy. If anything, I think Spencer is the one who shouldn’t have been killed off since he is the overarching antagonist of the entire series. I could understand killing off Wesker because he was the main antagonist of RE1 and RE5 while being the overarching antagonist of RE2 and RE4 since he hired Ada in both those games to retrieve a sample of the viruses.

At some point, she took in Oswell E. Spencer as her student prior the creation of Umbrella Corporation. After a fierce disagreement between her and Spencer as Spencer wanted to use biological research to control mankind while she only wished to bring her daughter back, Spencer left her but not before using the symbol of the 4 houses as the logo for his company.
So if Miranda and the 4 lords are the core inspiration to Umbrella, that means Alcina Dimitrescu really is the inspiration for the Tyrants (she would've been mutated by the time Spencer met Miranda)

So, the Umbrella logo has more history than being just the face of a farmaceutical corporation, if i'm undertanding correctly, Mother Miranda found it along side the Mutamycite, and even her dosen't know the meaning of it, and Spencer only took it as an inspiration to create he's corporation.
In real life mushrooms with hallucinogenic properties (psilocybin) were used in religious rituals in ancient cultures. So it's possible that the Umbrella symbol represented something of spiritual significance to the people that inhabited that area thousands of years ago. A fungus that retained the consciousness/memories of people could be used as something to talk to the dead or some other ritual like that.
if you have seen the art concept, Ada was in the game too and they cut her scenes. She may be in the vllage for the mold sample and for the next series what you said (combining them) may likely to happen.

In the game there is a letter written by a king, its the wolf den area right before you fight the big boss with the hammer, the King said they invaided the land and he found the ancient ruins, and no one knows who built them and he wanted to explore more but his army was pushed back out of the area... this mean these ruins and mold and everything are hundreds if not thousands of years old

If we are to go with a ludicrous twist, Mia is Miranda, and Miranda that Ethan fought is a clone she left to pursue the means to bring her daughter back to Europe. This will open up the fact the mold can be used as a weapon to repeatedly assimilate memories or will of an individual into the molded body, starting of the one who acts as a bodyguard to Rose.

This explains sooo many things in the Series, one in particular including why the Tyrants look the way that they do: because Spencer SAW everything about Alcina, from the Claws, to the Height, to the Incredible Power she had at her disposal, and wanted to replicate that .
I think it's more that the 'Tyrants'/Dimitrescu represent flawed imitations of what the Progenitor Civilization's people might have looked and behaved like: incredibly tall, long-lived, predatory and domineering over 'lesser' beings, and capable of transforming without losing their mind. Spencer probably dreamed of having Wesker's body but also the ability to morph into whatever new form he wanted to try.
So I made a theory about how the key characters in RE8 reflect/represent key umbrella figures: Spencer/Tyrant = Dimitrescu James Marcus = the daughters William Birkin = Moreau Alex Ashford = Beneviento Albert Wesker = Heisenberg
I can’t believe my theory since the reveal trailer came true. Ever since I saw the quick glimpse of the Umbrella logo, I theorized that since the four house sigils surround the Umbrella logo, the village must be the true birthplace of the Umbrella Corporation. I knew that the person in charge of the village would be connected to Spencer in a very important way.
Yeah I figured the same too. I remember the Devs saying they were hesitant to show the 6 winged being in the trailers. It's cause it roughly looks like a crude Umbrella logo. Figured a few weeks back that this is prolly where Umbrella got it's inspiration from. And appearantly the symbol *predates* Miranda too. And if I remember right, there's *other* organizations that are dealing with biological diseases and viruses. @@johnorulzu A fun idea to remember is that even the most powerful mutagens we've seen represent incredibly watered down variants of 'Progenitor', which makes me suspect that the distant past where Progenitor was dominant was a hellish era of enslavement and annihilation. Restoring this 'Resident Evil' to its full strength would be apocalyptic, not in the pitiful 'zombie rising' we've seen in the movies but more akin to the demonic invasion in something like Doom.

@@IADin I don't think so, Las plagas are a natural lifeforms in hibernation, not an experiment. If las plagas and mutamycete were connected, Wesker would know about the existence of the mutamycete. I think Plaga era is finished with las plagas + T-Virus in RE5. But who know, maybe we will have a Recombination with Plagas and another patogen.

I love how it’s going almost everyone’s head that Alcina is 100% the SOLE REASON why the Tyrant exists and look the way that they do. Spencer went to the Village and had to have taken note of Lady Dimitrescu. From the Giant Claws, to her Imposing Height, to the Near-Invulnerability and even the Healing Ability. Spencer SAW all of that and wanted to make his own Version of that.

I been waiting for someone to upload a video like this. I was also shocked to see that Miranda is one of the reasons Spencer and Umbrella started the Raccon City incident. One thing that remains questionable is how the Las Plagas virus from RE4 was made, we know Sadler turned the villagers but Who made him and the virus. Even Wesker sent Ada to get it to mix it for His Uroboros virus but WHO and how made the Las Plagas
Las Plagas are a parasite, not a virus, and the Salazar's family was responsible for keep it controlled in the castle, but somehow it came out and infected the villagers. Krauser (working for Umbrella) and Ada (working for Wesker) were there to take a sample of it.
Las plagas are a parasite. Actually the idea of the Mega being a natural thing is pretty much showing that it the La plagas, and the flowers in Africa are essentially the progenitor of a lot of old civilizations maybe in the RE lore. Eveline is technically still alive in Rosemary, which is why Chris and his team are wary of her and that guy in the end called her Eveline. The thing she's in a very weak state, but she's still there which was shown through Ethan in the end. We're going have to be cautious of Rosemary.

Raccoon city claimed to be the Home of Umbrella. But Raccoon City was the starting point for the corporation. The Village is quite possibly the true home of Umbrella.
I just finished the game before hopping on to check out all this. It's cool that it expands the lore, showing what other bioweapons were being developed at the same time umbrella was doing all their stuff. Wonder why Ozwell didn't use the Mutamycete to prolong his life instead of messing it up with the T-Virus
It’s because the effects of the Mutamycete are to random. Miranda and the four House Lords gain theirs abilities without knowing they would obtain them. All the other creatures you face in the game are a result are the failures. Miranda even considers the House Lords failures. In a letter Spencer mentions that the Mold isn’t capable of achieving his goals or the desired results would take too long.

All Miranda wanted to do was resurrect her dead daughter. Her connection with Spencer and Umbrella had a lot of potential and they never really do anything with that.
Spencer on the other hand wanted to create a God race with him as the God of them all. Then Wesker comes in, pulls a Kefka and kills him and steals his goal of becoming the God of a new race.
The real main antagonist was always Wesker before Capcom killed him off in 5.
Capcom seems to have an issue with retaining face of evil for this series since RE5. There is always somebody doing something behind the scenes and then they are swiftly killed off.
Umbrella was pretty much done for by the end of 3, tricell the face of it all by 5 then dealt with, neo-umbrella is introduced in 6 but switches sides by the next game, whatever that chinese company was in 7, post village it looks like the BSAA are about to become the new villains)
No single face or organisation has been attached to the villains side in over a decade, Hell umbrella wasn't even thwarted THIS millenium.

That game essentially ended the storyline by killing off both Spencer and Wesker, finally ending the Umbrella storyline. Ever since then, it’s just a bunch of organizations taking advantage of Spencer’s legacy.
If anything, I think Spencer is the one who shouldn’t have been killed off since he is the overarching antagonist of the entire series.
I could understand killing off Wesker because he was the main antagonist of RE1 and RE5 while being the overarching antagonist of RE2 and RE4 since he hired Ada in both those games to retrieve a sample of the viruses.

So it's possible that the Umbrella symbol represented something of spiritual significance to the people that inhabited that area thousands of years ago. I think it's more that the 'Tyrants'/Dimitrescu represent flawed imitations of what the Progenitor Civilization's people might have looked and behaved like: incredibly tall, long-lived, predatory and domineering over 'lesser' beings, and capable of transforming without losing their mind. Spencer probably dreamed of having Wesker's body but also the ability to morph into whatever new form he wanted to try.
So I made a theory about how the key characters in RE8 reflect/represent key umbrella figures:

I can’t believe my theory since the reveal trailer came true. Ever since I saw the quick glimpse of the Umbrella logo, I theorized that since the four house sigils surround the Umbrella logo, the village must be the true birthplace of the Umbrella Corporation.
I knew that the person in charge of the village would be connected to Spencer in a very important way.

Yeah I figured the same too. I remember the Devs saying they were hesitant to show the 6 winged being in the trailers. It's cause it roughly looks like a crude Umbrella logo.
Figured a few weeks back that this is prolly where Umbrella got it's inspiration from.
And appearantly the symbol *predates* Miranda too. And if I remember right, there's *other* organizations that are dealing with biological diseases and viruses.

@@johnorulzu A fun idea to remember is that even the most powerful mutagens we've seen represent incredibly watered down variants of 'Progenitor', which makes me suspect that the distant past where Progenitor was dominant was a hellish era of enslavement and annihilation. Restoring this 'Resident Evil' to its full strength would be apocalyptic, not in the pitiful 'zombie rising' we've seen in the movies but more akin to the demonic invasion in something like Doom.

The vampire lord(dimetrescu), the weaver(like a dollmaker), the fish(Moreau), and the black horse(Heisenberg). It even catalogues how the horse is very much so different from the others. I fail to see how you could see it in any other light if you beat the game(I marathoned that shit)

It may be an opinion, but the assertion it's based off is laughably false and easily deconstructed. They got certain elements correct, I'm not going to say which, but there a lot that would suggest that it is not her.

@@IADin I don't think so, Las plagas are a natural lifeforms in hibernation, not an experiment. If las plagas and mutamycete were connected, Wesker would know about the existence of the mutamycete. I think Plaga era is finished with las plagas + T-Virus in RE5. But who know, maybe we will have a Recombination with Plagas and another patogen.

The other games had a feeling that the world would be destroyed by an army of monsters, now it feels like the world may be assimilated by a global mind network.
The world must be torn down first before the Resident Evil can build it back up...
The lore in this game is dope and answers some questions AND makes more.

I love how it’s going almost everyone’s head that Alcina is 100% the SOLE REASON why the Tyrant exists and look the way that they do.
Spencer went to the Village and had to have taken note of Lady Dimitrescu. From the Giant Claws, to her Imposing Height, to the Near-Invulnerability and even the Healing Ability. Spencer SAW all of that and wanted to make his own Version of that.

One thing that remains questionable is how the Las Plagas virus from RE4 was made, we know Sadler turned the villagers but Who made him and the virus. Even Wesker sent Ada to get it to mix it for His Uroboros virus but WHO and how made the Las Plagas

Las Plagas are a parasite, not a virus, and the Salazar's family was responsible for keep it controlled in the castle, but somehow it came out and infected the villagers. Krauser (working for Umbrella) and Ada (working for Wesker) were there to take a sample of it.
Las plagas are a parasite. Actually the idea of the Mega being a natural thing is pretty much showing that it the La plagas, and the flowers in Africa are essentially the progenitor of a lot of old civilizations maybe in the RE lore. Capcom has done some good here just curious of what else they might add

Eveline is technically still alive in Rosemary, which is why Chris and his team are wary of her and that guy in the end called her Eveline.
The thing she's in a very weak state, but she's still there which was shown through Ethan in the end. We're going have to be cautious of Rosemary.
I think its more she hates that name and everything behind It because it's why her father died. She might be Eveline but clearly hates being called that. I wouldn't blame her for her anger because of all the crap that happened she grew up without her father.

@@HiHi-it1vr Yeah, that's what I was thinking, too. It's the same thing like with Alex Wesker and Natalia in Revelations. Eveline is there in Rosemary but "locked" away due to being in a very weakened state because there are only remnants of her in Rosemary.

Raccoon city claimed to be the Home of Umbrella. But Raccoon City was the starting point for the corporation. The Village is quite possibly the true home of Umbrella.
I just finished the game before hopping on to check out all this. It's cool that it expands the lore, showing what other bioweapons were being developed at the same time umbrella was doing all their stuff. Wonder why Ozwell didn't use the Mutamycete to prolong his life instead of messing it up with the T-Virus

It’s because the effects of the Mutamycete are to random. Miranda and the four House Lords gain theirs abilities without knowing they would obtain them. All the other creatures you face in the game are a result are the failures. Miranda even considers the House Lords failures. In a letter Spencer mentions that the Mold isn’t capable of achieving his goals or the desired results would take too long.
@@AmazingKingXman also he thought that the mold wasnt infectious enough that it could only effect a small area, and his plan was to change the world so he sought a virus instead, thats when he went to africa and came across the progenitor virus
All this mentioned along with the fact had spencer been infected by cadou he'd literally nt b able to go 10 miles past the village borders I mean haven't u ever wondered why hesinberg or lady d never set foot outside the village? Or the bakers ppst infection outside their home? Cause the megamycete hivemind is like a central power bank if u will and the infected can't b away from it for too long otherwise thy die so if spencer had been infected by a cadou or normal mold he wouldn't have been able to leave,he'd have been trapped,tho if he was infected with a piece of megamycete hivemind itself tht may have been a diff story..

@@anirudhagarwal2132 Yes she released the megamycete to Rose during the final battle in order to order to impart its power to the baby, this left her vulnerable due to large part of her aging benefits being transferred to the baby.
