And as shown in the Cinematic of Duality, both of them are wanted and Dangerous Raadeites, meaning they use the protocol to not only hide, but to control and make up for their pasts.

I agree with your idea totally. We know breach has ties with raze as shown in the breach lore video, they may have met and formed a friendship before one joined the VP and possibly invited the other. And since they were both Criminals, both their criminal records may have been taken down in return of joining the VP.
Jett joined the Protocol most likely because her life was screwed. Fade leaked Jett’s backstory and here how it is: Jett basically and accidentally caused chaos by not knowing how to use her powers. The 2 main things that triggered the people in her life was accidentally creating a tornado in her hometown and The Venice incident. Everyone thought she did it but it was her from another universe. Her friends, her family and everyone despised her and saw her evil. After that she had no choice but to most likely join. I should remind the fact “Everyone in VP had to leave their past life behind.”
My sad reason for cypher joining the VP: He lost his family and he both wanted revenge and something to live for. He may joined the vp for more recourses to take down the ones who killed his family (?) or to do damage to kingdom as a whole. But overtime I think he became fond of his job and the VP members. So not only did he find another purpose but he's now found out that sage can revive people, so maybe he has another goal now. And let's get a bit depressed here, from his voicelines that he said that he still gets nightmares (a new voiceline to fade) means he's still not over the death of his family (or maybe his child? Since I believe Nora is alive). I also think that he desperately needed something to do to get his mind off the loss of his loved ones. Like those people who uses work as some kind of drug to get their minds of things.
Sage was recruited into the VP protocol to help with Radiant research and training She recruited Jett and Phoenix because both of them have immense power that they couldn't control (Phoenix had started a massive fire in his school and Jett created a tornado) So just like Neon Sage had offered to train them in their powers. We don't know if they had any alternative motives for joining tho
2 reasons why Reyna is on VP. For the first reason without the VP viper would have zero reason to help her sister, that could end up in her dieing. And if she was to kill then the VP would be sent after her and that would most likely mean the end for herself and her sister, and this is also a perfect opportunity to gain info on the enemy team
Well, we can see it clearly from the different period of time or to better say, probably from another world dimension ? Where, Kay/O killed Reyna, because she killed many people (Brim too maybe ?) and chose bad ending scenario. So yea, I agree with this fully.
For those wondering why Killjoy is numbered earlier than others but released after the game's launch, I believe a dev blog mentioned that thar she was supposed to also come with launch, but there was development problems.
I'm pretty sure Reyna joined because of the invading copies, she didn't want them to take the radianite (which is what she thinks is the future) and believed it would've been easier if she joined the people already trying to stop the copies, I'm pretty sure theirs a voice line that actually says something about that.
Recent viper lore makes me think that reyna is in the VP to save her sister and she sought out kingdom's help with that and she's a VP agent in exchange for that Astra's recruitment into the VP was likely to make sure that the various universe stayed stable since she was introduced in Act 3 along with the concept of Mirror Earth, and I believe lore that was released a bit ago confirms that she makes sure the VP doesn't do anything that throws other universe out of whack.
For Reyna, I have a theory. As we know a radiant war broke out in Kayo's universe. Maybe the radiant war is the future of the VP. Because the war has to take place at some point as these are timelines. I think that the core reason of Reyna joining the VP or VL was that to build up an army of radiants. And after this war is done in alpha earth. This cycle repeats. (Kayo defeats Reyna and then this goes on in other universes as well). (I am very bad at explaining and sorry if I don't make sense lol)
I think Jett and Phoenix joined because, yes they were powerful, but they also both caused some disaster because of their radiant powers (Phoenix burned down his college and Jett made a tornado). Perhaps theses disasters got the attention of the VP and they took them in to train them and help them get control of their radiant powers.
For Sova, I think he joined for either two reasons: 1. Either because of his double I don’t think we know when he met Sova, but maybe he found out by the other Sova that he is an agent in Omega earth, to which he found out about the other side Aka the VP later, and joined, perhaps unaware of the conflict between the VL and VP (which could explain why he seems so adamant about Omega Sova fleeing.) Or most likely 2. Because they were seen as the best: Since he has a voice line in which he states: “I was told you were the best, that is why I’m here.” and it is to be assumed that he has a military background or was an Agent once before (where the alias “Filin” possibly came from) Perhaps there he was one of, if not the best of his team, which ended in him finding the protocol and lastly joining. But judging how he knocks out one wholesome voiceline after the other, he probably just said it to cheer up his teammates. Who knows?
the (alpha) kingdom corp might've recruited (alpha) jett because in the duelists cinematic, (omega) jett caused the map ascent to what it is now, so (alpha) jett might have some relation to (omega) jett...? i dunno im just guessing
could be a good theory! I'm assuming Jett wasn't a member of the VP before the incident because phoenix didn't know about the Omega Earth agents and would of totally recognized Jett lol

Hey Sir Jeppy, about Cypher’s reason behind joining the Valorant Protocol, I believe that you were partly correct with Cypher’s family being a part of what pushed his to recruitment. However, where my view differs is that I believe that Cypher joined the protocol to be more like how his family may have visioned him. So he could be the father that his family believed in instead of a facade, protecting the world against threats that may have harmed them instead of inciting these problems. Another reason that could be true is the treasure trove of information that he could have at his fingertips. This makes his other, part-time job to be much easier with access to classified information with the need of much work, increasing his efficiency in bringing information to his clients. Having a clean slate from joining the protocol is also another advantage following my previous point without having to run the risk of dealing with existing authorities when on missions. Another reason which may also apply to technology based agents such as Raze, Breach and Chamber is the Radianite supplied to the agents. This allows them to develop, improve and power their gadgets for missions. In Cyphers case, this could be used to power up his gadgets when on reconnaissance.
Maybe the reason why Reyna joined VP is because of her sister we already know she is on the verge of death and she asked viper for help to save her sister and that's how she joined VP

It's true that Viper joined the VP as a result of her affiliation with Kingdom, but I do still wonder how did Viper became Viper. She seemed pretty stable until attacked by Omega earth. She even claims what happened in a voice line of her's that she was a monster because of Omega earth. She says "I am your monster. You made me this way. NEVER forget that." Omen also speaks of how they became monsters yet Sabine still had flesh to hide her horror in. Omen had said "Look at the monsters we've become. At least you have flesh to hide your horror." Viper was normal, and in the right mind before the attack from Omega Earth. I wonder what tragedy occurred in order to turn Dr. Sabine into Viper.
I had a theory that doesn't relate a lot to this video, but you know how fire again shows "alternate realities"? I think that each round in a match is a different reality of how the battle at that sight turned out. Sometimes the bomb exploded, sometimes it's defused and the radiante isn't taken, and those happen because of different choices made by the different agents, which are different realities from the different choices that happen throughout a round.
So essentially there is an alternate universe and earth but the events are condensed into 1 time line Alpha earth Their own timeline and events Omega earth Their own timeline and events When they merged or at least became aware of the other's existence the two universe began to share the same timeline And the rounds of valorant gameplay are those infinite timelines of how they succeeded or lost

Cypher might have searched these radiants across the world and Viper, Brim might have reached out to them as for Reyna, she might have reached out to them first to help her sister

I don't have a reason as to why Cypher joined in the first place, but I do know why he is still in Valorant, because Sage can revive people with minimal constraints in the lore, Cypher can go to see his dead family and still help out the world.
This is just an Idea that popped up in my head but what if Reyna joined the VP to try and convince the Radiants to be free? She could've heard that about how the VP was controlling Radiants and decided to infiltrate the VP by "joining them" but her plan backfired and now she's working for the VP? Or maybe she's still trying... like the message Reyna sent to Brimstone about being the one to train Neon instead of Sage, and the message she sent to Neon about her suit and how it muzzles her powers. alright so for some of the agents which don't have a confirmed reason for joining here are my theories: 1. i saw a bunch for reyna so i will just repeat them here: it's either because viper offered to care for her sister and keep her alive in exchange for her services, or because of reyna's own agenda of wanting to find radiants to build an army for the war on humanity. a third reason could just be to go on missions to suck on souls to prolong her and her sister's life. 2. raze is a similar situation to breach: they were both criminals and clearing their extensive crime records is an old but reliable way to get them to do work for the good side 3. for phoenix i have a feeling that the main reason he joined was to basically be a hero for people so he could both do good and get the good kind of attention from people. a secondary theory is that since he burned down a building with his powers the existing agents tracked him down and told him they would help him control and use his powers as well as just not being prosecuted for what he did in exchange for joining. 4. i have a feeling jett mainly joined because of mirror jett after the spike blew up in italy. the people don't know about omega so alpha jett was blamed for something she didn't do, so she joined to 1 be protected from the crowds who want her to pay for her double's doing and 2 to actually prosecute said double to make her pay for their crimes. i would also think jett genuinely does want to do good and save her earth, and phoenix the same. 5. cypher as you mentioned in the video he is one of if not the best hacker and secret hunter on earth, and just like with most criminals they are tracked down and offered something they want in exchange for their services and that's most likely why he joined at first, and probably is staying because they're his new family. 6. yea no idea for sova other than being millitary and brim recruiting him for that and his scouting talent. 7. sage's speculations are on point in the video and i agree with them, she wants to help heal and help people in general.

My theory is that she wanted to get on the inside for 2 reasons: 1. She wanted to recruit the Radiants in the VP to her cause. 2. She wanted to find out who the VP would find next to warn those Randiants.

Possible reasons for all agents joining valorant Brimstone is the founder Viper possibly co-founder and head scientist Omen must be a co-founder when he was human with viper and after Sage's failed attampt to bring him back they keep him around to maybe study the effects of excess radianite and get data from him, they get data from every agent but omen's must be important to study so that no one else turns out to be like him. Killjoy does research and development , also the reason for her being on patch 1.04 is because she joined Valorant as a R&D person and was before the legal age to fight ,might be higher than 18. after she was was old enough to fight they got her in patch 1.04. i also think she and Brim theorise strats and tactics together. cypher joins to have a deal, he provides valuable intel and in turn Valorant portocol helps him get to the killer of his family and save the world along the way. He must be after someone, someone who is as good at hiding as cypher is with data gathering. its personal. and Valorant protocol helps with the resources he needs. Sova joins because of brim, he mustve seen brim as a true leader. and i think it must have something to do with his eye. or he his doing it for the honour and repaying brim for something hes done for him. Sova takes work seriously and calls brimstone the commander. they mustve had quite the experience of the battlefield. Sage selflessly joins to help people. she wants to save as many lives as she can (implied by the brimstone voiceline) as she believes thats the true purpose of her radianite powers. she must also be trying to learn more about herself and her powers and Valorant Protocol provides her with the knowledge she need to get better at her powers. Pheonix joins for fame and clout. Jett is a likely framed wanted criminal and wants to run away from the accident that happened in her hometown and hopes to find the reason of the accident and prove that she isnt the one responsible for what happened. Reyna has a deal with with Valorant. she joins the protocol and they help save her sister , she collects the souls of valorant's enemies and use them somehow to save her sister. Raze is another criminal because of her whacky and explosive inventions. She joins valorant as they are the ones to to actually allow her and provide her the resources she wants to build her explosive projects and valorant can actually make practical use out of her projects. Breach is a criminal trying to clean his criminal records. Yoru joins to find his ancestors, and promote the use of covid masks. Astra joins maybe learn more about her gauntlet and radianite or she likes exploration. Chamber is here for a business trip. and stalking viper maybe.

There is no way she is trusted to run the Valorant Protocol. 12. Raze joined to gather intel and watch Kingdom's actions via the Valorant Protocol. 13. Breach joined for protection and to clear his criminal records. 14. Skye joined due to Sage's influence and request 15. Yoru joined for protection and to clear his criminal records. 16. Astra joined because of Valorant's close ties with Kingdom (Kingdom owns radianite). 17. KAY/O wants to stop rogue radiants from destroying the world. 18. Chambers works for Kingdom as its weapons designer. 19. Neon joined due to Chambers' request. 20. Fade joined due to her interest in Mirror Earth. Overall, most joined Valorant to gain protection, gather intel to fight Kingdom, loyalty to Kingdom, and get a job. If Kingdom does indeed control the Valorant Protocol, they are smart. If any Valorant agent turns on Kingdom, Kingdom will make them into wanted criminals based on their past records as well as footage of their omega variants committing crimes.

Reyna was most likely recruited for her radiant nature and because, like, Viper has her little sister or something? I read somewhere that the two are soulbound, so the most likely scenario is that Reyna joined the VP in exchange for protection from Kingdom and more souls?
Possible is that , at least with for example Jett and Phoenix, that because they maybe revealed their powers during their tragic events ( Jett spawning a tornado in Soul, Phoenix burning down a school in the London...), maybe VP looked on these catastrophies and instead of labeling them as criminals, VP gave them chance to perfect and control their powers by joining the VP. Thats my theory on these 2 at least... ;)

I believe Sage joined because of what happened to Omen. Maybe part of her felt guilty for not being able to fully revive him and so she might have felt like she needed to join VP so she could compensate to Viper and Brimstone for her failure. And at the same time, she felt that helping out the team would clear her own conscience about her powers and the possibility of them taking lives in order to give others. Jett and Phoenix would probably be due to their past mistakes and their lack of control over their powers. Besides Jett wanting revenge against omega jett for ending up taking the blame over the Venice incident. astra I believe joined mainly because she needed to keep up with the threats to the universe. As she is probably the last guardian, she thought that being close to beings that have the capacity to cause problems to the balance of universe and reality would be the best to do in order to guarantee that nature remained in equilibrium. Besides that by joining VP she would have a lot more access to information and research resources about her gauntlet and the guardians and the artifacts. And lastly, her whole purpose is protecting the world, so why not help in missions that are literally meant to do just that? In Yoru’s case, I believed he joined so he could have resources to look up more information about his ancestors, and be able to do his research without government tracking him down and people reporting blue anomalies (his TP) randomly showing up in the world. He decided to join so he could do what he had to being inside the law and not having to worry about being followed nor arrested. And at the same time, it was a possibility for him to have help, resources and manage to comprehend better his own abilities, powers and limitations. Neon definitely joined because of the opportunity to learn how to control her powers and how to use them in a good and positive way. We know she struggled with her powers because of Fade’s message for her back when she was the blackmailer, so Neon saw the chance to use her powers in a positive way and learn control while doing so. Cypher is most likely due to him losing his family and as well (in case Nora’s alive) to protecting Nora. Besides that, he also could have a lot of interest in using the resources available in VP to gather information on Kingdom Corp. Besides that, I think Cypher felt like he didn’t have anything else to lose and thought that maybe his pain would be forgotten if he had other things in his mind, so he joined VP, but after a while he actually started to care for his companions and that’s why he stayed in VP. Chamber definitely joined for personal interests. He has always had that mistery going on behind his actions and the reason for them. I believe all that Chamber does is for self interests and that he might have a whole other plan in his mind while joining VP. Maybe he is not evil, I believe he is more like “the ends justify the means” type of guy. Maybe his intentions are good but the way he wants to achieve them just wouldn’t be approved by others, and so, after what he’s done in Fracture, he saw that the only way to keep advancing on his plan, was to join VP. Harbor joined in order to escape REALM as well as to find out more about why his artifact chose him and how does it even works. Reyna joined because she knew that the only way for her to help Lucia (her sister) would be through VP. First, Viper would only agree in giving he services to help save Lucia, if Reyna helped the team, and at the same time, Reyna knew she would need souls for her and her sister and she knew that the only way to gather the souls without being a criminal wanted for murder, would be by doing so with the authorization of VP. And lastly, she thought it would be better to be close to other radiants in case her desire to initiate the war happened, because that way she would have their trust and would be easier to recruit them. For Raze, I believe she had more than one reason to join the team. First of all, I believe kingdom started affecting Brazil in a deeper way and Raze started to see her community suffering the consequences and so she decided to try and help them. Second, because of that, she sometimes recurred to criminal actions which caused her to feel like she was in the same position as Breach. Consequently, she started to realize that the only way she would be able to properly protect her home was by joining VP and doing so within the law. And lastly, just like Cypher, she had the desire to be closer to Kingdom’s information and system, so she could use those against them if needed. Sova definitely joined because of Brimstone and his military past and experience, he felt like he had to do more for the world and saw that as a chance to leave a mark, as well as him seeing the team as the best and wanting to be a part of it.
on Reyna maybe she was given an opportunity on saving her sister, as I think maybe she was offered help by the team as she needs souls ( I dont really know,Im just blabbering and still kinda new to valo sa please no hate)

Well, we can see it clearly from the different period of time or to better say, probably from another world dimension ? Where, Kay/O killed Reyna, because she killed many people (Brim too maybe ?) and chose bad ending scenario. So yea, I agree with this fully.
For those wondering why Killjoy is numbered earlier than others but released after the game's launch, I believe a dev blog mentioned that thar she was supposed to also come with launch, but there was development problems.
I'm pretty sure Reyna joined because of the invading copies, she didn't want them to take the radianite (which is what she thinks is the future) and believed it would've been easier if she joined the people already trying to stop the copies, I'm pretty sure theirs a voice line that actually says something about that.

Recent viper lore makes me think that reyna is in the VP to save her sister and she sought out kingdom's help with that and she's a VP agent in exchange for that
Astra's recruitment into the VP was likely to make sure that the various universe stayed stable since she was introduced in Act 3 along with the concept of Mirror Earth, and I believe lore that was released a bit ago confirms that she makes sure the VP doesn't do anything that throws other universe out of whack.
For Reyna, I have a theory. As we know a radiant war broke out in Kayo's universe. Maybe the radiant war is the future of the VP. Because the war has to take place at some point as these are timelines. I think that the core reason of Reyna joining the VP or VL was that to build up an army of radiants. And after this war is done in alpha earth. This cycle repeats. (Kayo defeats Reyna and then this goes on in other universes as well). (I am very bad at explaining and sorry if I don't make sense lol)

I think Jett and Phoenix joined because, yes they were powerful, but they also both caused some disaster because of their radiant powers (Phoenix burned down his college and Jett made a tornado). Perhaps theses disasters got the attention of the VP and they took them in to train them and help them get control of their radiant powers.
Yoru might’ve joined because he wanted to know more about his ancestors.

For Sova, I think he joined for either two reasons:
1. Either because of his double
I don’t think we know when he met Sova, but maybe he found out by the other Sova that he is an agent in Omega earth, to which he found out about the other side Aka the VP later, and joined, perhaps unaware of the conflict between the VL and VP (which could explain why he seems so adamant about Omega Sova fleeing.)
Or most likely 2. Because they were seen as the best:
Since he has a voice line in which he states: “I was told you were the best, that is why I’m here.” and it is to be assumed that he has a military background or was an Agent once before (where the alias “Filin” possibly came from) Perhaps there he was one of, if not the best of his team, which ended in him finding the protocol and lastly joining. But judging how he knocks out one wholesome voiceline after the other, he probably just said it to cheer up his teammates. Who knows?

Hey Sir Jeppy, about Cypher’s reason behind joining the Valorant Protocol, I believe that you were partly correct with Cypher’s family being a part of what pushed his to recruitment. However, where my view differs is that I believe that Cypher joined the protocol to be more like how his family may have visioned him. So he could be the father that his family believed in instead of a facade, protecting the world against threats that may have harmed them instead of inciting these problems. Another reason that could be true is the treasure trove of information that he could have at his fingertips. This makes his other, part-time job to be much easier with access to classified information with the need of much work, increasing his efficiency in bringing information to his clients. Having a clean slate from joining the protocol is also another advantage following my previous point without having to run the risk of dealing with existing authorities when on missions. Another reason which may also apply to technology based agents such as Raze, Breach and Chamber is the Radianite supplied to the agents. This allows them to develop, improve and power their gadgets for missions. In Cyphers case, this could be used to power up his gadgets when on reconnaissance.

It's true that Viper joined the VP as a result of her affiliation with Kingdom, but I do still wonder how did Viper became Viper. She seemed pretty stable until attacked by Omega earth. She even claims what happened in a voice line of her's that she was a monster because of Omega earth. She says "I am your monster. You made me this way. NEVER forget that." Omen also speaks of how they became monsters yet Sabine still had flesh to hide her horror in. Omen had said "Look at the monsters we've become. At least you have flesh to hide your horror." Viper was normal, and in the right mind before the attack from Omega Earth. I wonder what tragedy occurred in order to turn Dr. Sabine into Viper.

There are so many reasons every agent could have joined so it is amazing they were able to be found around the world
I had a theory that doesn't relate a lot to this video, but you know how fire again shows "alternate realities"? I think that each round in a match is a different reality of how the battle at that sight turned out. Sometimes the bomb exploded, sometimes it's defused and the radiante isn't taken, and those happen because of different choices made by the different agents, which are different realities from the different choices that happen throughout a round.
So essentially there is an alternate universe and earth but the events are condensed into 1 time line
Alpha earth
Their own timeline and events
Omega earth
Their own timeline and events
When they merged or at least became aware of the other's existence the two universe began to share the same timeline
And the rounds of valorant gameplay are those infinite timelines of how they succeeded or lost

okay heres my theory on why reyna joined: we know about her sister i think i dont remember in a voiceline she says "this is for you vermonita" and that shows that she probably use the soul orbs to get more powerfull to save her from whatever reason and earlier viper experimented on her so maybe viper still have her wich coud be another reason to why she joined coud it be to "steal" her back from vipers lab or wahtever idk thats just my theory

I don't have a reason as to why Cypher joined in the first place, but I do know why he is still in Valorant, because Sage can revive people with minimal constraints in the lore, Cypher can go to see his dead family and still help out the world.
This is just an Idea that popped up in my head but what if Reyna joined the VP to try and convince the Radiants to be free? She could've heard that about how the VP was controlling Radiants and decided to infiltrate the VP by "joining them" but her plan backfired and now she's working for the VP? Or maybe she's still trying... like the message Reyna sent to Brimstone about being the one to train Neon instead of Sage, and the message she sent to Neon about her suit and how it muzzles her powers. Anyways that's all I have for now ^^

alright so for some of the agents which don't have a confirmed reason for joining here are my theories:
1. i saw a bunch for reyna so i will just repeat them here: it's either because viper offered to care for her sister and keep her alive in exchange for her services, or because of reyna's own agenda of wanting to find radiants to build an army for the war on humanity. a third reason could just be to go on missions to suck on souls to prolong her and her sister's life.
2. raze is a similar situation to breach: they were both criminals and clearing their extensive crime records is an old but reliable way to get them to do work for the good side
3. for phoenix i have a feeling that the main reason he joined was to basically be a hero for people so he could both do good and get the good kind of attention from people. a secondary theory is that since he burned down a building with his powers the existing agents tracked him down and told him they would help him control and use his powers as well as just not being prosecuted for what he did in exchange for joining.
4. i have a feeling jett mainly joined because of mirror jett after the spike blew up in italy. the people don't know about omega so alpha jett was blamed for something she didn't do, so she joined to 1 be protected from the crowds who want her to pay for her double's doing and 2 to actually prosecute said double to make her pay for their crimes. i would also think jett genuinely does want to do good and save her earth, and phoenix the same.
5. cypher as you mentioned in the video he is one of if not the best hacker and secret hunter on earth, and just like with most criminals they are tracked down and offered something they want in exchange for their services and that's most likely why he joined at first, and probably is staying because they're his new family.
6. yea no idea for sova other than being millitary and brim recruiting him for that and his scouting talent.
7. sage's speculations are on point in the video and i agree with them, she wants to help heal and help people in general.
I think Reyna joined to learn more about her sister. Because I think she knows that the kingdom knows something that she doesn’t. Also to get revenge on viper.
My theory is that she wanted to get on the inside for 2 reasons:
1. She wanted to recruit the Radiants in the VP to her cause.
2. She wanted to find out who the VP would find next to warn those Randiants.

Possible reasons for all agents joining valorant
Brimstone is the founder
Viper possibly co-founder and head scientist
Omen must be a co-founder when he was human with viper and after Sage's failed attampt to bring him back they keep him around to maybe study the effects of excess radianite and get data from him, they get data from every agent but omen's must be important to study so that no one else turns out to be like him.
Killjoy does research and development , also the reason for her being on patch 1.04 is because she joined Valorant as a R&D person and was before the legal age to fight ,might be higher than 18. after she was was old enough to fight they got her in patch 1.04. i also think she and Brim theorise strats and tactics together.
cypher joins to have a deal, he provides valuable intel and in turn Valorant portocol helps him get to the killer of his family and save the world along the way. He must be after someone, someone who is as good at hiding as cypher is with data gathering. its personal. and Valorant protocol helps with the resources he needs.
Sova joins because of brim, he mustve seen brim as a true leader. and i think it must have something to do with his eye. or he his doing it for the honour and repaying brim for something hes done for him. Sova takes work seriously and calls brimstone the commander. they mustve had quite the experience of the battlefield.
Sage selflessly joins to help people. she wants to save as many lives as she can (implied by the brimstone voiceline) as she believes thats the true purpose of her radianite powers. she must also be trying to learn more about herself and her powers and Valorant Protocol provides her with the knowledge she need to get better at her powers.
Pheonix joins for fame and clout.
Jett is a likely framed wanted criminal and wants to run away from the accident that happened in her hometown and hopes to find the reason of the accident and prove that she isnt the one responsible for what happened.
Reyna has a deal with with Valorant. she joins the protocol and they help save her sister , she collects the souls of valorant's enemies and use them somehow to save her sister.
Raze is another criminal because of her whacky and explosive inventions. She joins valorant as they are the ones to to actually allow her and provide her the resources she wants to build her explosive projects and valorant can actually make practical use out of her projects.
Breach is a criminal trying to clean his criminal records.
Yoru joins to find his ancestors, and promote the use of covid masks.
Astra joins maybe learn more about her gauntlet and radianite or she likes exploration.
Chamber is here for a business trip. and stalking viper maybe.

11. Reyna joined to infiltrate and gather intel on Kingdom. There is no way she is trusted to run the Valorant Protocol.
12. Raze joined to gather intel and watch Kingdom's actions via the Valorant Protocol.
13. Breach joined for protection and to clear his criminal records.
14. Skye joined due to Sage's influence and request
15. Yoru joined for protection and to clear his criminal records.
16. Astra joined because of Valorant's close ties with Kingdom (Kingdom owns radianite).
17. KAY/O wants to stop rogue radiants from destroying the world.
18. Chambers works for Kingdom as its weapons designer.
19. Neon joined due to Chambers' request.
20. Fade joined due to her interest in Mirror Earth.
Overall, most joined Valorant to gain protection, gather intel to fight Kingdom, loyalty to Kingdom, and get a job.
If Kingdom does indeed control the Valorant Protocol, they are smart. If any Valorant agent turns on Kingdom, Kingdom will make them into wanted criminals based on their past records as well as footage of their omega variants committing crimes.

Possible is that , at least with for example Jett and Phoenix, that because they maybe revealed their powers during their tragic events ( Jett spawning a tornado in Soul, Phoenix burning down a school in the London...), maybe VP looked on these catastrophies and instead of labeling them as criminals, VP gave them chance to perfect and control their powers by joining the VP. Thats my theory on these 2 at least... ;)

She propably wants to get *contacts* and a way to recruit other Radiants for taking over the world more easily. With so many Radiants in a close space there is gonna be some who are ok with taking over the world.

I believe Sage joined because of what happened to Omen. Maybe part of her felt guilty for not being able to fully revive him and so she might have felt like she needed to join VP so she could compensate to Viper and Brimstone for her failure. And at the same time, she felt that helping out the team would clear her own conscience about her powers and the possibility of them taking lives in order to give others.

astra I believe joined mainly because she needed to keep up with the threats to the universe. As she is probably the last guardian, she thought that being close to beings that have the capacity to cause problems to the balance of universe and reality would be the best to do in order to guarantee that nature remained in equilibrium. Besides that by joining VP she would have a lot more access to information and research resources about her gauntlet and the guardians and the artifacts. And lastly, her whole purpose is protecting the world, so why not help in missions that are literally meant to do just that?
In Yoru’s case, I believed he joined so he could have resources to look up more information about his ancestors, and be able to do his research without government tracking him down and people reporting blue anomalies (his TP) randomly showing up in the world. He decided to join so he could do what he had to being inside the law and not having to worry about being followed nor arrested. And at the same time, it was a possibility for him to have help, resources and manage to comprehend better his own abilities, powers and limitations.
Neon definitely joined because of the opportunity to learn how to control her powers and how to use them in a good and positive way. We know she struggled with her powers because of Fade’s message for her back when she was the blackmailer, so Neon saw the chance to use her powers in a positive way and learn control while doing so.
Cypher is most likely due to him losing his family and as well (in case Nora’s alive) to protecting Nora. Besides that, he also could have a lot of interest in using the resources available in VP to gather information on Kingdom Corp. Besides that, I think Cypher felt like he didn’t have anything else to lose and thought that maybe his pain would be forgotten if he had other things in his mind, so he joined VP, but after a while he actually started to care for his companions and that’s why he stayed in VP.
Chamber definitely joined for personal interests. He has always had that mistery going on behind his actions and the reason for them. I believe all that Chamber does is for self interests and that he might have a whole other plan in his mind while joining VP. Maybe he is not evil, I believe he is more like “the ends justify the means” type of guy. Maybe his intentions are good but the way he wants to achieve them just wouldn’t be approved by others, and so, after what he’s done in Fracture, he saw that the only way to keep advancing on his plan, was to join VP.
Harbor joined in order to escape REALM as well as to find out more about why his artifact chose him and how does it even works.
Reyna joined because she knew that the only way for her to help Lucia (her sister) would be through VP. First, Viper would only agree in giving he services to help save Lucia, if Reyna helped the team, and at the same time, Reyna knew she would need souls for her and her sister and she knew that the only way to gather the souls without being a criminal wanted for murder, would be by doing so with the authorization of VP. And lastly, she thought it would be better to be close to other radiants in case her desire to initiate the war happened, because that way she would have their trust and would be easier to recruit them.
For Raze, I believe she had more than one reason to join the team. First of all, I believe kingdom started affecting Brazil in a deeper way and Raze started to see her community suffering the consequences and so she decided to try and help them. Second, because of that, she sometimes recurred to criminal actions which caused her to feel like she was in the same position as Breach. Consequently, she started to realize that the only way she would be able to properly protect her home was by joining VP and doing so within the law. And lastly, just like Cypher, she had the desire to be closer to Kingdom’s information and system, so she could use those against them if needed.
Sova definitely joined because of Brimstone and his military past and experience, he felt like he had to do more for the world and saw that as a chance to leave a mark, as well as him seeing the team as the best and wanting to be a part of it.
I think Reyna joined the VP because She saw It as an opportunity to find and recruit more radiants in the VP by getting closer to them.
on Reyna maybe she was given an opportunity on saving her sister, as I think maybe she was offered help by the team as she needs souls ( I dont really know,Im just blabbering and still kinda new to valo sa please no hate)
