I would love to see 70 years of your work!!
Kinda impressed by how old you are ngl. Good for you man
wowie, I was feeling ridiculous about my 15 years of knitting experience before learning this technique... never too late to learn I suppose 🧶✨
This is really excellent! I love how you got straight to it without chatting for five minutes beforehand. I love how you pointed out *exactly* where the needle goes. Really fantastic, thank you!
Yes, I feel the same!
11 years after you posted this: THANK YOU!!! This is so much nicer than what I’ve been doing! I’m working on projects now where I will need to do this! I’m very grateful! ♥️
Absolutely PERFECT close up and simply explained tutorial! Thankyou for giving us the intricate details whilst keeping it short and to the point. I feel much happier now, I didn't think I'd ever be able to do this, I was gonna forever cheat with whip stitch on the inside! 😂 but now I'm feeling much more confident!
Best tutorial on the mattress stitch that I have found. Thank you SO much! You made it so very clear, which made it infinitely easier. MUCH appreciated!
This is amazing! I had never heard of the mattress stitch until a new patterns suggested it as a finishing technique. I'm so happy to have found your video. That blue yarn disappeared like magic, without a trace.

Very easy to follow. After over 60 years of knitting I am not afraid to use mattress stitch. Thank you
I appreciated the blue thread. It made it so easy to follow. Thank you.
That is what I was thinking when I clicked on this video, it makes the tutorial much more visible to follow along.
Even with using the blue yarn I couldn’t see the “blue” in the seam! That REALLY made me sit up and notice this video!
How to join sleeve sides neatly with mattress stitch.
The best description and demonstration of the mattress stitch that I have ever seen. Thank you!
Thank you. I have looked at tons of mattress stitch videos. Have never seen one as good as yours. You use a light color of yarn making it much easier to see. You show beginning of process and ending on sample. I've seen tons that start in middle of project and they don't end it leaving newbies to mattress stitch in the dark. The video is nice and clear to see what you are doing. Just wonderful!
Legitimately the best tutorial for seaming. For some reason all other videos I watched for mattress stitch were confusing and unclear. This helps, I subscribed!
This is a game changer. I have been knitting for 25 years and have not been seaming this way, but I can tell you I will moving forward! Thank you for this very clear and straightforward instruction.
Thank you for such a clear video! Pace of directions/demonstration was perfect, and the camera clarity and position was perfect. Honestly, makes a world of difference! :)
This is my favorite video that teaches how to join pieces together because she uses a contrasting yarn, it makes it SO much easier to follow along with my own pieces. Thank you so much! ❤
I'm a knitter 15 years ago I never couldn't sew proyects was very hard for me with your patience finally I could saw my cardigan.Thank you very much
Thank you for not wasting my time with a bunch of extraneous stuff I don't need to know! (Unlike other videos...)
Yes! My biggest complaint about many how to videos. Really appreciate the clarity.
I thought it was straight to the point and clearly explained !
Have knitted for 47 years, in more recent years baby blankets and baby hats, didn’t really like finished seam on hats so this video showing an invisible seam is excellent, thank you so much for sharing, will certainly give this a go. Good luck with future videos. Will be back for more tips - have subscribed.
I never stop learning, thank you so much. I had never heard about this stitch before in knitting.
What a great clear video. Very well explained. Thank you
OM goodness! Thankyou Amanda. I watched other videos before yours (As yours was third in the list). Yours was the clearest and easiest to understand - by far. I now feel confident that I can do this :)
Love! Love! Love! Great teaching without the usual unnecessary things I did not to know. Definite game-changer for me. Thank you!!
Complimenti!!! Clear step by step explanation, and the tone of your voice that suggests it's nothing difficult.. very reassuring:-). You actually saved a poor knitter's life today🙃
After 11 years, you’re still helping knitters. This video is so straight forward and clear, just excellent. Now, I’ll do the last step to complete my first cowl. Thank you so much!!
Best demonstration of mattress stitch ever! Thank you
Thank you! The easiest demonstration of mattress stitch EVER!
What a brilliant demonstration, very clear instruction and you also allowed us to see exactly what you were doing closely on the work without blocking our view with your fingers, which is vital in order to learn and copy. Thank you very much
I appreciate the demonstration of the mattress stitch , because I have a large number of sample pieces that can be of great use seamed together. There are many projects I can make .
When you pulled it together at 2:47, my mind was completely blown.... thank you!
