Pro Tip: Neutrogena T-Gel also strips out your hair color *A TON* if you need to use a medical clarifying shampoo. It's about $10 at Target but if you wash your hair every other day with it, it fades out w/in 6 washes. Head and Shoulders makes my eczema flare up (especially if I use the Tea Tree Oil one 😬)

bleach bath and bleching with low developer made my faded purple hair green, so... NEVER use bleach on purple hair if you don't want to do a darker color on top
Aislinn, I had this very purple, I wanted to change to pink, so I used a lush shampoo bar (the yellow one) and it stripped the colour right out in like 10 shampoos. When it comes to stripping colours, Lush shampoo bars are the best! 🤣

I have one of those little bullet blenders that i no longer use for food so now whenever i need to do specific hair treatments or this vitamin c mixture to fade out color the mix always always always turns out sooo smooth and for me works even better
I've been doing this method for the last 1 week-2 weeks on permanent black and it actually works super well! Gradual process for permanent black and is turning slightly orange (obviously). Trying to go back to my natural blonde when I can get in with my stylist (and my roots are 10 weeks grown out naturally blonde). Just so people out there know how it works with permanent black as well!
This method really helped me! I thought I was dying my hair dark blue (box said "indigo"), but it went full on black instead. Ok, but not what I was going for. I had bought ColorFix, but before trying it, the comments on the smell really made me not want to do it. I saw your video here on the vitamin C method, and I went and bought the stuff (so cheap!). I tried just ONE round for 30 min, and it removed a lot of the black. I am back to almosssstt the brown that I was before. It didn't take all of it out completely, since it was only one round. But for such a cheap, easy, non-offensive smell technique, I will definitely do another round or two like you recommended. THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!
I dyed my naturally brown hair bright pink without bleaching it in April, then dyed it purple over the faded pink past week. Decided I want my brown hair back so I've done this method twice so far and I'm back to a pinky brown colour... Will keep trying!
I did the Transylvanian on its own, and it was fading super purple, once I gave up on just letting it fade and bleached it, it was BRIGHT pink. Bleached it one more time and was able to dye it a pastel orange (in my profile picture). Best semi perm black dye I’ve used, really loved it.
Hey girl! So I had my hair dyed purple rain, a couple times over bleached blonde hair. I used equal parts baking soda and 20v developer (I used a cup- only the top half of my hair was purple at the time) and then a couple table spoons of dish soap, and dandruff shampoo. I left in on for only like 25 minutes and my hair was completely blonde. Seriously it was crazy! The developer does dry out my hair but not as bad as bleach and I just use coconut oil every week.
Please show us whenever you're on your journey to fading color because I don't see enough of it and as someone who does their hair at home I plan on doing pretty much every color in the rainbow at some point and I always go back to your videos to help me.

I’ve really fallen in love with arctic fox dye, I messed up trying to dye it electric paradise and porange, long story short I didn’t have enough bleach and I still had blue so the pink turned purple and I wound up with purple, pink and orange in my hair....I faded it and put sunset orange mixed with some cosmic sunshine over the top and it looks flipping amazing even though I had some leftover color from the previous mess up. Definitely won’t be using any other dye brands!!
I am trying so hard to get a true Grey/silver...without any green or blue undertones..to match my tape ins..omg i have tried so many semi permanent colors and can not find a good 1😓 Thanks for this Video, i do the baking soda,dandruff shampoo and 10 volume and it works great! I find doing a deep conditioning or repair masque (using heat for 30-hr first) overnight really helps, it also (in my experience) removes some pigment when I wash or rinse (Depending on what I'm doing that day) it the next day.

did you bleach it? If you bleach vibrant purple it can turn green

That happened to me before and I heavily diluted a red dye to make a light pinkish red and applied it to my hair. it got rid of all of the green.
You can do a bleach wash too using 20 vol developer

It doesnt damage your hair but it is very drying so maybe do a test strand and see how it feels first
its just really dry the hair and if you don't moisturize after your hair might break
