This dude is the truth with it!!! Knows how to play in a pocket, keeps a solid beat, & clearly has a love for the art. I bet this guy can beat up on some congos and/or drums too. Keep up the good work man!
Ive been playing congos, bongs and now djembe since a long time. Just love precurssion and drumming world. These are very ancient drums from africa (nigeria) later used by latin music as well great artistry and great drumming i salute such artists all must watch
Who would've thought a bunch of weird looking clay pots and vases could make such amazing sounds? Marco''s got quite a sense of rhythm, it's interesting how the tempo shifts so smoothly and yet the music still sounds very fluid.
filmelitt No i mean the sound in AOE2 (Age of Empires 2) when you build a house is of indian tabla rather than these drums. I wasn't saying this guy was using that technique
Hi @GatoreIsNotJuice, just for information the sounds you listen in background are all acoustic, recorded by me years ago for a different project. However I'm agree with you, the Udu sound is fantastic without any addiction!! Thanks for your comment, ciao Marco Fadda
this was nice....although sometimes i wonder if folks play these beautiful instruments too fast........i mean the dialogue is for a bassy sound with the hand seals.......and bending notes.......Marco is brilliant.......and i think perhaps focusing on the one instrument whose sound isnt too disimiliar from the others is very hypnotic and communicative ..........great work here :)
sr marcos no es hipnotic es subliminal ,su performance val la pena grabarlo con guturales, konga, djembe y flauta,de seguro crea dimensiones de belleza. tha you for the performance great sr jesus super star
Well I could have used without the background BS. I'm most impressed that you can sit Indian fashion that long. But you are by far the best the clay pot player I seen.
@Mewsinghan There really isn't a difference technically between Ibo and Udu. The Udu originates from Nigeria where the word "Udu" translates to "pot." Traditionally, the Udu was used as a means for transporting water before it was discovered as a musical instrument. In regards as to where Ibo comes from (as Meinl calls it), the Igbo people of Nigeria are most likely responsible discovering water pots as instruments, and that could be where Meinl draws that name from.
I also am a conguero, so I know what congas sounds like. And they are tuned to a note. Which one depends on the size of the drum and the key of the song you are playing to.
He has mastered his artistry and does not deserve insults. Thank you, MARCO FADDA.
The bass on the udu drum is so powerful it's unbelievable. Beats all the electronic drum sounds I hear out of the water.

if anyone is wondering this is an igbo drum played in southeastern nigeria
Thank you. I knew the instrument came from an African tradition, but that doesn't really narrow it down that much. :-)
@@LordQueezle igbo is an ethnic group in nigeria. they are located in the southeast.
I been watching u for years, and I always feel like It's the first time, amaze, you are so good
Amazing... The form that you explore the Udu´s sonority is fantastic.

You know, writing with a bunch of random elipsis where they don't belong makes you look like an idiot.
this instrumet has it's origin from Nigeria, the name is Udu and for them it is a very serious instrument.
