    Thanks Eileen. I’d really like to see how you wash the hand-tied wigs as well as finding out if there are differences for lace fronts and other wigs.

    Great video! Loved the basin! Could you put a link showing where one could purchase this basin? I’ve been looking for something like it.

    Great. I watched an old one of yours when I was getting started. I would be interested in a video on how washing hand tied caps is different. Asking for a friend.

    Once the clean wig is in the towel, I put it on the floor and gently walk on it. It gets so much more water out doing it this way!

      I have never tried that technique, blotting it with a towel works great for me, thank you for sharing and for watching Robin, have a great weekend! xoxo

    Thank you very much! It was really informative! By the way. how about a hair dryer for the last part? its not recomended? i need to use it today for example

      Hi, I never use a blow dryer on my wigs unless they are human hair, I would be extremely cautious as the heat could melt the synthetic fibers. Thanks for watching today! xoxo

      @@Crazywiglady of course i loved your video. i was thinking more on a blow dryer but in cool mode of course nothing hot. just air to dry faster. though i placed it in the sun and it dried in a matter of one hour.

    I've just washed my wig for the first time Eileen. Remembered this video so followed the steps. My wig is almost dry but there are many strands that are frizzy ish and kinked and wavy. Have I done this through the washing process? Is there some spray that will make it look smooth or smother again please? Or steam? Or is this just wear and tear? It's fairly new, hence why I've only just washed it. Much love to you and best wishes ❤
    (You're the first person I thought to consult about this!! 😊)

      Hi Helen, I'm not sure why your wig is reacting as your described, which wig are your referring to, how old is it, there could be several different reasons why you are experiencing these issues. You could use steam to tame any fly aways, etc.

      @@CrazywigladyI don't know if it got too dry. I didn't put any products on it for the first weeks of wearing it (I haven't worn it everyday either). Its just not as smooth at the back now. Maybe I combed it too vigorously. Do you always use a very wide toothed comb? I'm getting a new one in a couple of weeks time, so I'll be gentler with that and put product on. Can you recommend a good spray on conditioner/protector I can put on it when its dry, before wearing it?. I put a really deep conditioner on the one that I just washed with the frizzy strands. It looks like hair looks when its been overprocessed or heat treated and slightly damaged. I can still wear it, its just not as good as before. Its a Rene of Paris Halo X

    Thanks for the video but how do you know if your cap is basic or hand tied? I have a RW upstage and let’s rendevous. Also I have 2 RW toppers ( go all out) what should I do for those? 1/2/24

    for longer heat friendly fiber wigs do I just let it air dry or should i. use a cool setting hair dryer?

    • @Crazywiglady
      @Crazywiglady  2 месяца назад

      I never use a blow drying on my wigs except human hair, I always let them air dry and if I need to add heat for heat friendly fibers I do that with either a curling iron, flat iron or steam.

    I washed my Jon Renau wig for the first time. It was sticky and stiff. Could it be I didn't rinse it thoroughly and put too much condition on it.
    Thanks

      That could be the issue, be sure to rinse very well, when I think I have rinsed it well then I rinse it again. Thanks for watching!
