Please check out @northlawnflowerfarm walk and talk videos (along with all her other great videos). And let me know if you’d like to see more videos like this one.
I personally prefer the informal videos 100% more and also love my favorite RUclipsrs supporting each other, what you guys do is a lot of work! Keep it real 😊
I am loving @Northlawnflowerfarm 's weekly walk about and am soooo happy to see you doing the same. I've decided to take up this habit in my own garden. Love the idea of a time not to plan, work, or agonize lol over the garden, but just to observe and appreciate the movement of nature. Sometimes we gardners forget this.
I love these walk and talk videos. The good, the bad, and the ugly are all good. Sharing your thought process is great. I'm not looking for perfection just ideas.
I really enjoyed this raw and unedited garden tour and love when gardeners show the good the bad and the ugly of a garden. Loved the tour, keep them coming.
I enjoy this type of video. It’s like taking a friend that popped over on a walk through the garden and enjoying what nature is providing us and chatting about our ideas and accomplishments…and then a butterfly!!
I like informal tours just as much as the beautiful tours. That’s when I learn so much from RUclipsrs when they talk about issues they are currently dealing with. Keep them coming!
Not boring-- it's great to hear another gardener think out loud about what might need tweaking or what they are planning. And to see gardens looking like gardens do at this time of year!
This is not a boring video, this is a video showing your garden waking up from winter like so many of us have! We can relate to this as not everybody has a perfect garden or staff to clean it up. I like the idea of a "firebowl" water planter, I like how the copper ages and think the size would be more substantial than a pot yet still manageable. I think many can agree we just enjoy your personality and wit and will watch what you post. If this type makes it a little more enjoyable for you than do it so you don't get that dreaded feeling of "I've got to edit and post a video", takes the fun out of it for you.
Erin, you are such a pro, I would’ve had no idea this was a raw video at all. Keep them coming! I love garden walk through videos. I learn and appreciate seeing others gardens in all stages, not just the perfect state. 👏 🌱 ☀️ 🌸 😊
I like seeing you talk about which plant varieties work well for you and which don’t. What weeds or invasive plants you are dealing with. What you would plant more of and what you would not. This is a good format for that info as well as showing what things look like in different growth stages. Those things you can’t tell from looking at plant tags. Thank you! Your bulbs are so pretty and the new hanging baskets will be fun to see.
Erin, I really enjoyed this unedited garden stroll. You are keeping it real, and it's great to watch the progression of your garden throughout the season. Thanks for asking for our input. because I love this type of content. Sometimes an occasional cuss word is necessary to describe an invasive plant/weed (like the variegated Bishops Weed), after years of trying to eradicate it from one garden bed (which is surrounded by concrete on all sides), I solarized the area for an entire year, and that killed the roots. It's been gone for over 20 years now. YAY! I also enjoy watching Northlawn Flower Farm, Danielle has a graceful way of showing us her garden rooms, weeds, and all.
YES!!! To the walk 'n talk tour, Erin! If that's what you have time for...no worries! ALWAYS enjoy and am fascinated by your garden(s), the good, the bad - it's all real ! Bring it!!!
I loved this raw video because it looks just like my garden too. And we just love you, naturally you! We don’t need you to dread the process,Do what makes you happy!!!
I like the unedited, “raw” video. Life is raw and unedited, and it was reassuring to see that your garden has issues, weeds, unruly areas just like the rest of us. Do what you need to in order to simplify your life. Whatever you produce will be beneficial, loved, and appreciated ❤
If I were to drive by your house, I would still slow down to see what you have going on because I could tell you are a gardener. it is a curated space and has interesting things going on and could give me inspiration and ideas. I think Danielle at NLFF said "don't let perfect be the enemy of good".
Thank you so much for sharing your garden in the raw. It looks beautiful. I like to see other people’s gardens as they wake up as it helps me gauge how my garden should like at this time of year. Happy gardening!
Longtime watcher, but finally subscribed today because this is the stuff I really enjoy most - no "lesson plan," just spotting stuff and speaking (knowledgeably) about it. But keep the formal ones coming too, please, because I learn a ton!
I enjoyed this type of garden walk. It reflected what I see going on in my garden. I also appreciated your thoughts on what maintenence you need to do, what you loved and changes you are contemplating. Thank you .
I love this kind of video. It's far more realistic for us gardeners with full-time jobs. I am in zone 7b and several weeks ahead of you. It's such a delight to see YOUR delight at your garden coming to life. Gush away! 💚
I certainly understand the time involved in editing videos; therefore, I totally enjoy the unedited videos. I'd much rather see your garden's progression during the season. All gardens go through the good, bad and ugly. Keep 'em coming!
Absolutely show us! We (I) love the videos and the interaction. Please let us know we are not alone in reality 😂. I do enjoy others videos but the extreme "tidiness" can get overwhelming and make us smaller gardeners feel less than. Your videos and Danielle, as you mentioned, (Cranery Garden, Common farm, Crowley House, Phaedra Gardeness too), inspire us to do what feels right and we may not always get it 💯, but keep on and it is Ok. Thank you! We are all in this together to make it a beautiful place. No judgement.
I liked the unedited, walk about video, I hope you’ll keep doing it. The feeling of walking around the garden with a friend is fun. PS If you are going to let the stinging nettle stay at least dead heading it might be a good idea. Each stalk is capable of (and will) produce 1,000s of seeds and you will have nearly 100% germination. Go ahead, ask me how I know, lol. If you decide to keep it, good luck, I’ll be praying for you sister!
This was a great video. I could see way more of the lay of the land, the spacing too, also young stages of some things, or before leading etc. thanks Erin.
Not boring at all. Always good to see what another gardener's garden is like at various times of the year. It helps me to gauge my own progress, and makes me realize how normal this is. Thank you for the "mini" tour. 💚😊💚
I love walk and talk videos in the garden. Very realistic for all of us gardeners. I think most of us watch gardening videos for th inspiration and real life issues in the garden so this is great. Weed and wine is great too and we'll, most anything you post. Keep it up and do what is best in your schedule. We are here for it all!
I walk my gardens frequently….this is my season and I love to see how other gardens are doing. I am so anxious for growth, color, texture and filled in spaces. It’s really good to see I am not alone. There are other garden geeks out there👩🌾. Anyone else bending down with reading glasses on their nose watching for even the smallest of changes?
You're absolutely right - this is a realistic look at a garden. I'm sure you've gathered, from all these positive comments, that your audience minds this natural look at a garden in the spring _not one bit_! We all really enjoyed this - don't hesitate to do this again. Thanks for all you do.
Absolutely love this tour and your trademark “keeping it real”! Learning so much from seeing how your garden is now, and hearing you talk about your plans. Looking forward to seeing it develop in the coming weeks and months!
This was fantastic and inspiring ... And...we need more frequent reminders that there is often the bad and the ugly woven in to the good and the beautiful. Take the Red Admiral butterfly... its host plant is stinging nettle. Without the plant many of us view with a wary eye, we wouldn't have the drifts of these beautiful insects. There have been clouds of both Red Admirals and Painted Ladies all week! What a joy to see them in your garden as part of the tour. Please continue with anything you care to share without the worry of editing.
I loved the “walk around the garden “ video. Nice to know all gardens in early spring are not much to look at. My gardens look the same every spring and so barren. Then as it warms a bit you can see all the perennials turning green. I always think “oh I need more plants!” If I check my pics from last summer there was hardly any bare space!! It’s a miracle !! Do I still buy more plants? Heck yes 🤪
I've always enjoyed Danielle's garden tours. I love that she shows us the imperfection beauty of gardening. Thank you for sharing your beautiful garden. I enjoyed your video.
An occasional unedited video would be good as a reality check, wouldn't want a steady diet of them, lol! Always love your down to earth style. Thanks for all your great and educational videos!
Yes to your new water bowl & Yes to your new way of videoing! Give yourself some garden peace & grace! You will show others how to do so! Love from my garden in Racine Wisconsin!❤
Love Danielle (and you!) and the idea of walking the garden seeing the good and bad. Makes me feel more confident in my garden. The garden is ever changing and is beautiful in every stage
I loved this format. You gushing over the flowers on your septic field made me chuckle. My husband and I planted 300 bulbs in my front lawn, a mix of Tete a tete daffodils, Jetfire daffodils and Chionodoxa in Fall 2022 in 3 somewhat irregular formations. We loved them so much when they bloomed last spring that we added another 200 bulbs last Fall. We have been so proud of our display this year, but a couple of people have stopped by and asked us what's wrong with our lawn 😂. This is the first time this has happened to me. Till now people have always stopped by to admire my gardens.
Love this walking tour just as much as I’ve enjoyed Danielle’s on the weekend. Good to see the reality for an early spring garden. The waking up process can be intoxicatingly fun. So much promise for the upcoming season.
Love the impromptu commentary. The bulbs were spectacular on the mound great idea ! I loved that you share what you’re planning for the upcoming growing season. Thanks Erin
I love seeing the garden looking like early spring as it is in all its beauty. Gardens here in zone 3b are just starting to wake up and the seeing the debris from all the mountain windstorms this winter is astonishing. It helps to see what’s just ahead of us in your lovely gardens.
YES! I loved this. Every year during winter my back garden looks SO bad I think, “ Oh my goodness, THIS time my garden is so bad it’s NOT going to bounce back”. Then spring comes and it does. I live in San Jose 9b and we have many evergreen plants so it’s not like in colder climates where most things are dormant and look bleak. I know how beautiful your property is so seeing the natural way of things is very helpful! Thanks Erin! (I love Northlawn Flower Farm with Danielle as well 😍🥰).
Erin, I loved the walk around. I haven't done any garden clean up this year other than carefully raking the leaves out from my hellebores and cutting down their foliage from last year. I am following the advice of Nancy DuBrule from Natureworks Garden Center in Northford, CT, and holding off to give the insects/critters time to exit hollow stems and dead leaf debris. I would definitely watch these weekly!
I actually prefer these type of videos❤ thank you for sharing and also being relatable with many of us that have a full time job! Keep them coming 🎉
I love this walk and talk video as I love Danielle at @Northlawnflowerfarm
I am loving @Northlawnflowerfarm 's weekly walk about and am soooo happy to see you doing the same. I've decided to take up this habit in my own garden. I believe the unedited videos will inspire more home gardeners because there is never a time in my yard when every bed is perfect and weed free.
Mine is now. So don’t blink or u will miss it 😂
I love these walk and talk videos. The good, the bad, and the ugly are all good. Sharing your thought process is great. I'm not looking for perfection just ideas.
I had no problem witb this "unedited" video. More videos like thus would be well received by me. Thank you fir the tour 😊
Very far from boring. It’s like walking through the garden with a friend ❤❤❤
I love unedited ❤ Because
" Life is not edited. It's to be experienced ! " 😊
I really enjoyed this raw and unedited garden tour and love when gardeners show the good the bad and the ugly of a garden. Loved the tour, keep them coming.
All your videos I appreciate and just love but I really appreciated this one Erin. There is simply just so much to learn and be inspired by. Thank You
I enjoy this type of video. It’s like taking a friend that popped over on a walk through the garden and enjoying what nature is providing us and chatting about our ideas and accomplishments…and then a butterfly!!
Go for it Erin~ fine by me 🌼
Less time editing, more time filming, more for us to watch!❤
I like informal tours just as much as the beautiful tours. That’s when I learn so much from RUclipsrs when they talk about issues they are currently dealing with. Keep them coming!

Reality is great, builds confidence in old and new gardeners. Your videos are very important to me.
yes to seeing Erin's lovely smile, humor and gardening knowledge.
Erin, you are such a pro, I would’ve had no idea this was a raw video at all. Keep them coming! I love garden walk through videos. I learn and appreciate seeing others gardens in all stages, not just the perfect state. 👏 🌱 ☀️ 🌸 😊
I love Danielle's walk and talk idea! Please do these kind of videos when you can. I love to see what's growing and hear you talk about them!

Love this video format because it is real. I think a water feature is a good idea. I would watch you weed(!) because I like your commentary.
Love unedited natural videos showing us the good and the ugly!
YES!!! To the walk 'n talk tour, Erin! If that's what you have time for...no worries! ALWAYS enjoy and am fascinated by your garden(s), the good, the bad - it's all real ! Bring it!!!

The mound has such a great turn out! Can’t wait to see your summer gardening unfold. Yes more informative videos for my Winter 🇦🇺
Love your new format. Trust me,gardeners like the nit and grit of it all. Gardens are never perfect, exceptionally in spring. Great video.
Never, ever boring Erin! 👍👍👍👍
Not boring! I like it! Especially when you throw in high and low points about the plants.
No editing needed. Straight forward and to the point with your personalit shinning through works for me, thanks.
Here! Here!
It's about the process and moments of beauty🌻
I enjoyed the more casual feeling of this video. It feels like you’re walking around with a friend through their garden.
I certainly understand the time involved in editing videos; therefore, I totally enjoy the unedited videos. I'd much rather see your garden's progression during the season. All gardens go through the good, bad and ugly. Keep 'em coming!

Erin, loved the walk-around garden tour! Gardens change day by day, especially in the spring. I would love to see more like this!
The old leaf litter helps to enrich our soil.
Love this format! It is real not Hollywood. Please take us along weekly. The mound with the daffodils and other small bulbs is absolutely stunning.
Yes please, love the REAL videos. ❤❤
I love walk and talk videos in the garden. Very realistic for all of us gardeners. I think most of us watch gardening videos for th inspiration and real life issues in the garden so this is great. Garden Walk & Talk are better than edited videos 🌱✨
I love this format ,it’s real ,I don’t need perfect. THANKS 🌿
I'm good with the unedited 'Real Life' and see more of your garden that way! Also contain good seasonal reminders in the excursion. Bring 'em on! 💖
Like walking and talking with a friend - love it!
I walk my gardens frequently….this is my season and I love to see how other gardens are doing. I am so anxious for growth, color, texture and filled in spaces. It’s really good to see I am not alone. Love taking a walk in the garden with you 😊
Edited , unedited both enjoyable. Real life garden coverage here … just enjoy seeing it all and you.
Absolutely love this tour and your trademark “keeping it real”! Learning so much from seeing how your garden is now, and hearing you talk about your plans. Looking forward to seeing it develop in the coming weeks and months!
Hi Erin,
As long as the videos are about plants I don’t care what format you use. It is nice to see that your garden looks like mine in early spring.
Raw is fine. Would like to see updates on the entire garden every couple of weeks if you have time. Such a beautiful garden.
Enjoyed this video, nice to see what is coming up in the garden, loved the bulb hill and the primulas, you have a lovely garden,
I loved the “walk around the garden “ video. Nice to know all gardens in early spring are not much to look at. My gardens look the same every spring and so barren. Erin, I love just walking through your garden. I felt like I was right there with you and we were just taking a stroll together. Thanks🎉
I've always enjoyed Danielle's garden tours. I love that she shows us the imperfection beauty of gardening. Thank you for sharing your beautiful garden. I enjoyed your video.
Raw and unedited is fine. We just want to see the plants. You are so knowledgeable and relatable, the relaxed vibe is great.
You are awesome. Don’t apologize for anything!! We will take what we can get❤️❤️
Enjoyed watching this. This is the true garden for all of us, unless you have extra help.
An occasional unedited video would be good as a reality check, wouldn't want a steady diet of them, lol! Always love your down to earth style. Thanks for all your great and educational videos!
Thanks for this realistic garden walk!
Yes to your new water bowl & Yes to your new way of videoing! Give yourself some garden peace & grace! You will show others how to do so! Love from my garden in Racine Wisconsin!❤
Love this video ... because I get to share your joy and enthusiasm for those small but seminal moments of joy the garden offers.
I love seeing your garden in any way shape or form! If this makes it easier for you to upload more content then I’m here for it! ❤
I watched Danielle’s video the other day, love this kind of video!
Love Danielle (and you!) and the idea of walking the garden seeing the good and bad. Makes me feel more confident in my garden. The garden is ever changing and is beautiful in every stage
I love the walk about garden tours. Gives me grace about my weed mess! 😂
Honestly I love it raw and unedited!
I love JetFire too! Candelabra primroses do well in wet areas so would look good along your creek. Good to see your garden in spring.
Jet fire my number one outstanding reliable narcissus.
The unedited videos are likely perfectly imperfect! You have a natural presence interjected with your welcome humor!
I like this format. I like to see the plants as they are coming up. Thank you Erin.
Thankyou. Not many gardens look great, this time of year. Happy to see the “real garden’.
Keep up with your delightful informative walks.
I loved this format. You gushing over the flowers on your septic field made me chuckle. Perfect tour. Don't get carried away with the editing.
Please keep doing the unedited tours and discussions. They are very educational.
Great idea. Your charm, spontaneity, and interest easily survives non-editing.
FYI, there is a british lady, Sally Pointer, who has several videos on the uses of stinging nettles. Culinary and craft stuff.
Love this walking tour just as much as I’ve enjoyed Danielle’s on the weekend. Good to see the reality for an early spring garden. The waking up process can be intoxicatingly fun. So much promise for the upcoming season.
I love the informal / unedited stroll!
👍to more videos like this! As busy as you are we appreciate any format you give us😊 The 'mound' looks incredible and after just one year, wowza!
Please do more of these unedited videos - it was perfect. ❤
I much prefer walk and talk garden tours. When things are perfect it tends to put off us amateur gardeners 👍. Love northlawn flower farm.
I value your experience and insight however you give it to us!
Love this informal walk. It feels real. And your more focused ones, too for a different kind of learning. Thank you!
Yes to the walk and talk videos.
I think a mix of this type and your usual edited ones is great. Seeing the current stages of different plants is fun and also helpful.
I love your input/experience in whatever video format you choose, and look for you when you’re not posting. So post away!! I’ll watch 👍
But tomorrow will be 73 or so in my West Hartford garden and I am going to start raking, darn it. I LOVE the bulbs on the septic mound. So very romantic and charming. I want to replicate that look in a circular section of my front lawn. (I did plant scilla 3 or so years ago, but would add more small bulbs, maybe this fall if I don't run out of steam.)
Loved the walk and talk. It was REAL.
