No disrespect to the other range testers out there, but running it out over the roof of the city, you can’t really stamp it TESTED until Mikey and Stu put the sticks to it!!
The poor range tests have been in CE mode so whilst you guys in FCC get 4.0w we only get 0.4w. stupid regulations.

Man Mikey...Great Distance....so many folks on YT saying how the distance sucks and this busts that....maybe they just have a defective RC. Thanks as mine is on order and now I can stop thinking about canceling the order....LOL
There's a lot of mixed results around the world with the DJI RC remote
If it can fly here in the city it can fly ANYWHERE! I think since others have the cee version which gets you far less as well as some guys just will not push it.. with that being said in sure there are some faulty models out there! @TDA yeah, issues are in CE mode and urban situations. FCC is 4.0w and CE is 0.4w, no wonder we cant do shlt over here in the UK

You know, I was half expecting the range to be terrible like the early videos said it was.
I'm not sure what's more impressive, the range or the battery life.
Now they just need to work on availability.
Dude much more conning but after this flight I feel totally different about the product.. it's a keeper.. and I'm slowly living the RC.. lol

I tweaked my Dji Fly app to run in FCC mode with my other controller RC-N1 and I now got a much better range with much less wifi interfference in urban areas. But the new RC I find it more pleasing to fly with because of how smooth the sticks are. This drone is amazing!

Hey Michael, good flight.. I wonder if having no external antenna hurts the range. If you get time , try another with your N-1 controller , and see if you get further. Remember how the standard controller would get better range than the V-1 smart controller. Enjoyed watching, mine says it will be here the 7th. But at 10,000 ,looks like internal antenna is allright. Always exciting flying a new drone.
Yes the internal are no problem on my unit. I'm actually amazed.. I can't believe they did it with no antenna.. hahaha. But yes Mike.. I will do another range test with the N-1 controller. I'm curious as well.. 💙💙💙💙 thank you for your time Mike

I have both controllers and I can 100% confirm that the signal streight is exactly the same. Absolutely no difference in signal quality. BUT there is quite a big difference how you can control the drone. The new RC its much more smoother. A pleasure to fly using this controller. Hotspot is recommended so you can use the map.

Totally understand. Theres a reason I'm not showing the telemetry.. ask around and you will know why . Also pro tip.. never ever show you telemetry unless your totally, 100% in the right and all regulations are followed 100%.. or BAM THEY GOT YOU..(FAAAAAAAAAA). UNDERSTAND NOW? 🤯🤯🤯👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Even if your 3 miles away. It's up to "them" to prove it.. telemetry pretty much does that for them as well as you on the sticks.. together "they" got you.. what a disgrace that THEY are turning pilots into PIRATE'S.. SAD... BUT IF YOU WANT TO FLY. THERE YOU GO ON THE MAP! LOL

Send it far. But no messing around in sports mode, just keep it in P mode and a straight line out. Head back at 60%, then work out how far you can push it based on how much it uses getting home. As you saw recently I've been doing that with the Mavic 3 - only trouble is the occasional dropout in 4G is scary, just hovering in place for a few seconds wasting power.

I would have to say yes. It's definitely worth the price.. especially with the RC.. that controller is light, works well, bright and well what else do you need... Ok ok cpu can be better but for the office it is fine.. IMO. With that being said the mini2 is still a great drone. It's just that this one is better in every area . Camera, range, tricks, flight, tone of battery... Everything is better especially if you grab the plus batteries. That's sick..

The aircraft to me doesn't seem 100% better.... I would say 15%...

@@EarthSouthside that is a great theory and solution I will def give it a try. It just keeps saying Gimbal Overlaoded. An the cam gets like stuck an starts jittering. Sounds like it could be pollen or something making it stick.

Drone 101. Never fly horizontally until you are notified that the home point has been updated. Then check it on the map like the prompt instructs.

Amazing! Waiting on mine; delivery is at early August. I’m happy I went in for the new RC. I was a bit skeptical with so many negative reviews on the reception. However, your review allayed my fears. I am looking forward to you doing an obstacle avoidance test. Also what battery did you use for this test, what was the temperature and wind level?
Thank you bud. Yes sir I'm gonna be doing a ton more testing with this drone. The RC works great. I also was skeptical about range. I'm very impressed so far . It was 80 degrees Fahrenheit and 5moh to 10mph winds. I used the extended battery

No idea how you are getting this range and in a city at that. Mines breaking up after 250m in some cases.. I don't understand.
I watched again and your measurement is in feet not meters. That's only about 3km. Still better than I'm getting in better conditions.
