  • How to Terminate an RJ45 CAT 6 STP Modular Crimp Plug
    Materials Required:
    CT-3368: Universal Crimp Tool
    MST-501B: Cable Prep Tool
    Precision Screw Driver
    MST-502: Side Cutter
MP-8P8C6SSH: Modular Crimp Plug (Stranded Wire)
    TMRBU2GY-65: Strain Relief Boot (Grey)
TGS-8CRC6SHGY: 4 Pair CAT 6 STP Stranded Cable (Grey)
    Step 1:
Very important to slide the Strain Relief Boot (TMRBU2GY-65) onto the 4 Pair CAT 6 STP Stranded Cable.
    Step 2:
Cut the specified length of Cable (TGS-8CRC6SHGY) and remove 1 ½" of the jacket using the Cable Prep Tool (MST-501B) to expose the insulated conductors. Adjust the blades to ensure the foil shield and insulated conductors are not scored as Stranded Cable does NOT come with a pull string.
    Step 3:
Fold back the Foil Shield and the Ground Wire. Then separate each pair and straighten using the Precision Screw Driver. Trim evenly using the Cable Prep Tool (MST-501B) leaving ½" of insulated conductors exposed.
    Step 4:
Insert the Stranded Cable (TGS-8CRC6SHGY) until the insulated conductors reach the end of the Modular Plug (MP-8P8C6SSH).
    Step 5:
Insert the Modular Plug into the designated cavity of the Universal Crimp Tool (CT-3368) and squeeze the handles together firmly. Cut the Foil Shield and the Ground Wire leaving ¼" and then tuck into the Mod Plug.
    Step 6:
Inspect to make sure the gold plated contacts inside the Modular Plug have pierced all the insulated conductors of the Stranded Cable. Finish by sliding the Strain Relief Boot (TMRBU2GY-65) over the Modular Plug.
    Step 7:
Repeat steps 1 through 6 to terminate the opposite end to complete the 4 Pair CAT 6 STP Patch Cable Assembly.

From what I can tell from the video, the order of the cables he used was:
    Green/White
    Green
    Yellow/White
    Blue
    Blue/White
    Yellow
    Brown/White
    Brown
Why is different to other videos I've seen?

because its different standard ( T-568A ), it works just like the one you see everywhere except that it is used less frequently.

Is bad to not expose copper of wire endings? I found it works just crimping through the insulator plastic of single wires

No, actually if you look closely, he also does not do that.
