Only a conservative could respond to a question about housing affordability with lowering taxes. Better zoning laws and down payment assistance give the middle class a chance to purchase a home.

Started to fact-check Logan’s points. Frustrating.
Gas prices, bad timing to harp on that: Below $3 in CT. Gas Buddy says $2.74 Berlin, $2.75 Southington, $2.78 New Britain & Newington (Oct 10)
We do have an affordability problem in CT, but the biggest piece of it is housing affordability. That most often comes down to zoning, which is a local & state problem. A genuine problem, but leaving CT for Washington is not going to give Logan better leverage to improve housing affordability.
Guns crossing the border? To fuel violence in CT?
Logan seems to have it *backwards* on the guns crossing the border illegally: It’s an estimated 200,000 to 500,000 guns crossing the border illegally INTO Mexico FROM the U.S. (Watson Institute, Brown University, 2024). 70% of guns found at Mexican crimes scenes can be traced to the U.S.
We have more than enough guns made in the U.S. to satisfy both criminal and noncriminal markets at home. The illegal trade that fuels violence in the U.S. is across *state* lines. I’d be willing to bet that Mexican (and Canadian) violence-prevention organizations would like to strengthen border controls to keep guns from arriving from the US. (Ditto Haiti, where in 2022 Reuters reported 15,000 guns arrived from the U.S. labeled as humanitarian aid from a church organization.)
Logan looks plausible, but he hammers the tired MAGA points while trying to distance himself from national politics. He can’t have it both ways.

Well, duh! Of course prices are low right before an election.

Also, where do you think the illegal guns that are terrifying the local areas are coming from??

@@jessicaanne147 i would get to know people before i judge them and if they had a good character whether they legal or not id be welcoming and if they showed bad signs then i wouldnt welcome them but i wouldnt categorize a whole entire group based off a statistics that show less illegals commit crimes then people born here
