Heroin Cooking & Drug Trafficking: Hooked On Heroin At 14 Years Old - Holly Deane-Johns | I Catch Killers When Holly Deane-Johns was 11, she worked for her mum’s escort business answering phones. By the age of 14, she’d had her first hit of heroin in her bedroom with her mum. From that moment she was hooked. What followed was years of cooking the drug, dealing and using - as well as a stint in jail. But nothing could stop her getting her next hit. Not even attending her heroin addicted mother’s funeral in handcuffs. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ I Catch Killers with Gary Jubelin True Crime Listen on Apple Podcasts ► Connect With True Crime Australia Online: bit.ly/46xCXDb ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ► Subscribe To Our True Crime Australia RUclips Channel: bit.ly/3iU23Fm ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ► Follow Us on Facebook: facebook.com/TrueCrimeAustralia ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ 00:00 - Introduction - Holly Deane-Johns 02:03 - Surviving in a Thai prison 06:26 - Behind Holly's Hell 08:50 - Tooth pulled in prison 13:57 - Answering calls at an escort agency 18:39 - Hooked on heroin at 14 27:51 - Jailed for five years 32:40 - Attending her mum's funeral in hand cuffs 34:45 - Flying to Thailand 39:19 - Arrested in Thailand 42:45 - Inside the holding cell 50:54 - Sentenced to 31 years prison #truecrime #truecrimeaustralia #crime #crimestory #crimejunkie
This guy is a shocking interviewer constantly interrupting and throwing her off her story. I hope he can actually learn alot from this interview attempt and grow from this.
I grew up with Holly and her siblings through primary school and high school. Her sister Amy was a close friend of mine. I always remember Holly as being a really lovely and kind girl in primary school. She is a true survivor. I am still sad when I think about Amy
How on Earth Holly Survived her so-called Childhood, let alone Addiction &. the Thai Jail system, I don't know.‼️ Let her Please be an Education to our Youth, of What Not to do. She is an Inspiration in Survival.😌
I feel for this lady, she was born into such indecent circumstances and the likelihood of her succumbing to the trappings of her circumstances was almost inevitable, she was conditioned to so called "normal" behaviours at such a young age. Shame on her mother. Proud to see her recovery and comeback.
Same the first time i used i was hooked.. Took me 3 years to decide I couldn't live like that anymore.. Went to a 6 month rehabilitation centre and ended up staying 3 years.. Have never looked back.. My precious son has kept me sober for the last 20 years
It still feels unreal bcoz its counterintuitive. It's hard to get it in your head that you are going to be punished wo hurting anybody, for trying to feel better. The belief that we have rights , of choice ,pursue of hapyness self determination etc and the limits of those rights are/end only where/when you infringe upon someone else s rights ,is deeply engrained in all of us in the west at least

How did you het caught etc etc
What a great conversation The truth of how prison gives you a look at your loses and how you sum up your self worth is probably the start of real changes to change a life from crime ? It is very informative to hear about the predicament of a toothache because that pain is worse than child birth ! Horrific People should be reminded about some jails not supplying pain relief or antibiotics Lovely woman , how would she behave with other peoples children where drugs are concerned? How do you gain self respect and respect of others after such a long time with boundary less behaviour? 😊
i love these kind of podcast except !!! the presenters allways talk too much we want to listen to the guest so if you have to speak at all keep it very short please just put the ego away and shushh
