There’s a good amount of Godzilla movies that actually had human characters worth caring about. Obviously there’s the 54 original, some of the earlier showa films, some of the Millenium films like GMK and the Kiryu duology. And more recently we had Minus One. So yes, it’s okay for a Godzilla movie to have well written human characters. In the case of this film, okay fine, we come to see the kaiju battles here, but they really downplayed them with constant cutaways after just 10-15 seconds of actual kaiju fighting. GvK actually improves this part at least, it’s just too bad we don’t get that level of action here with Rodan, Mothra and Ghidorah.

Actually, plenty didn't answer. Disregarding the ones that joined in _Godzilla: Minus One,_ those that joined in _Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire,_ and any ones that join after this comment is posted (such as the aforementioned Destroyah), Kong just kept doing his usual thing. It's not like he would be able to do much had he actually been a part of the film, especially considering how the main antagonist can breathe a law of physics and he would be one of the smallest giant monsters there, so having him ignore what would technically constitute as a challenge in favour of his usual life was a good call.
King Ghidorah is alien to the planet Earth. He is a false king, an alpha monster from outerspace. His "lightning" power that he spit out is called "gravity beam". The middle head tends to be the "head" of the trio, the boss if you will, the right head tends to be the aggressive one and the left one tend to be the more innocent more curious one, him licking the bodies just to taste and see them react is a clear depiction of his curiosity. I love Ghidorah.. The Monsterverse so far didnt have one "bad" movie. Some are better than others but they are all super freaking entertaining.
Ghidorah and the cross is symbolic, because Ghidorah is the equivalent to the Devil and is found in ice like Ol’ Scratch himself in Dante’s Inferno story and both have three heads

But I also like to say he's just a little mf who does what's convenient for him and kind of a crybaby cause of when Mothra stabed him, it was on his shoulder, and bro was rolling on the floor like they just cut off his entire wing xd and then shows up completly fine to Godzilla at the end being like "oh yeah, never doubted you, at your servises" he even smiles sometimes, he got a whole personality in this movie, I definitely want more of him
These are original monsters from the 50's and 60's godzilla movies snd gidorah is godzilla's most famous nemesis. The mutos in the first movie were new creatures made for just that movie because that time wb and legendary pictures didn't have rigts to these classic kaijus .
You should look up the baby Godzilla and Mothra video on RUclips. The one where they're super tiny and Mothra picks up the tiny Godzilla and flies off at the end if you want to get your cute and cuddly on lol. They should seriously make like a dialogue free children's series out of that. It's pretty adorable..
i have seen godzilla movies since i was 10-12 years old and this one is undoubtely better its said the box office revenue was 50 mil but i think its more like almost 500 mil but thats how much i enjoyed it and there are a few good actors here
"Would be dead, or significantly injured" I agree 100%. This is a problem I'm having with movies these days, bad physics. It looks really cool to see someone thrown for hundreds of feet, so they feel the need to do it, but then they need that character to keep going, so we're just expected to pretend that a guy can get up from that and keep going. Let me tell you as someone who's just slid down the road at 45 mph after my motorcycle slid out from under me, getting up is not easy, even if, like me, you have to immediately. An explosion that hurls you like in this movie? Dead or severely injured. Not getting up.
Kong V Godzilla was a point of speculation before the movie came out, in his movie he was much smaller than the G, and no atomic breath. However, Kong does have his advantages, including having a connection with the ladies.
I have a movie request for you. "Monty Python's Life of Brian". Also, fun fact. One of the monty python guys is an animator and did all of the cartoons for the holy grail.
Original movie, Dr. Serizawa created the Oxygen destroyer, used it to kill Godzilla and himself so no one can have such a destructive power. (both oxygen destroyer and nuclear power). I never bought in to the Kong story, Godzilla would crush him in seconds. They had to recreate Kong to be bigger and badder; Kong would be like a toy compared to Godzilla size-wise. Glad you are enjoying monsterverse even with flaws.
-1 this film way better than the first one and best one up two now ghidora best villian and monster we will ever have liked your reactions though 3 new monsters in one film is amazing
Yeah, it was about this point when these movies started focusing less on those human characters and more on the monster's, to where the monster's would eventually show character (especially with this latest one). Not saying the human characters aren't interested, they do the job, but let's say from here on put we won't be getting anything like 2014 Godzilla and Kong Skull Island stuff. I still enjoy King of the Monster's but I've grown to appreciate Kong, with him pretty much being the main focus of the movies going forward, he's up there with Godzilla now for me and I grew up with big G. I went into the Monsterverse totally biased in that regard. I liked Monster Zero (Ghidorah's) weird roar in this. They always made a funny sound in the old Godzilla movies, but I like what they did here. What really fascinated me was the ruins Godzilla was recharging in, I love ancient civilization stuff, old ruins from a forgotten era that was built for the most insane reasons in fiction. Always get a kick out of a tomb being introduced as some ambiguous backstory
I’m sorry but when I hear people say there are no memorable human characters are hypocrites to me cuz before Minus One there hasn’t been a single memorable character every Godzilla movie before minus one. The characters in the monsterverse are far more memorable than any human character before minus one. U never heard of any person talk about the memorable Japanese characters the ONLY reason why they saw those movies was for the monster fights.
exactly, the only memorable one really is serizawa.maybe there were few more, like that guy that it was in a building and godzilla was like looking at him before he blasted that building, he was a bit memorable, but then again, i cant even remember his name anymore.
Hi clariss firstly love yours and your hubbies reactions you guys are adorable got to suggest you watch the horror movie the descent it is one of the best horrors/thrillers ever 😊😊
If i had a nickle every time i've heard a girl saying that Godzilla it's cute while reacting to Godzilla King of the Monsters i'd had two, witch its not much, but it's wierd that it has happend twice
I feel like Serizawas sacrifice is a really poignant scene. Especially when it's the only scene in Godzilla cinema history where a human hand touches Godzilla. I feel there's a bunch of stuff there that could be analyzed there (probably by someone smarter than me).
makes me wonder, why didnt godzilla power up when this happened? in the new movie, and its already in the trailers so no spoilers, he evolves there, but he could have done that here and ghidorah would have been no match for him. i guess ghidorah was not that big of a threat for him.
If u ignore all the human drama and focus on just the monsters (other then serizawa he’s the only good human), this is easily the best film of the franchise
Hope you enjoy the new monsterverse movies, and btw I highly recommend watching CLOVERFIELD if you are into a horror approach to a monster movie, and I think that its very unique because it is filmed in a found footage style! Definitely give it a try if your interested :)

But I also like to say he's just a little mf who does what's convenient for him and kind of a crybaby cause of when Mothra stabed him, it was on his shoulder, and bro was rolling on the floor like they just cut off his entire wing xd and then shows up completly fine to Godzilla at the end being like "oh yeah, never doubted you, at your servises" he even smiles sometimes, he got a whole personality in this movie, I definitely want more of him
In this film Godzilla is 120 m tall or 394 feet. Ghidorah is twice that.
Only by his wingspan, which both of the kaiju know so Ghidorah spreads himself to act bigger during the beginning of that face off in antarctica.
@@Tempestuous.Shadow He’s longer too. From tip to heads.
@@brucechmiel7964 Lanky ass
6:00 in the movie "Last Action Hero" with Arnold, a younger Lord Tywin Lannister also does a great job playing opposite a young, spunky little boy!
Ghidorah is the embodiment of malice. He doesn't care if what he's doing is inefficient, he just HATES anything that isn't him.
These are original monsters from the 50's and 60's godzilla movies snd gidorah is godzilla's most famous nemesis. The mutos in the first movie were new creatures made for just that movie because that time wb and legendary pictures didn't have rigts to these classic kaijus .
6:44 I’m actually surprised that you weren’t scared by that supposedly jumpscare
KING OF THE MONSTERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You earned a new sub! Keep up the good work girl!!! 👏🎉
Everything I have watched Tywin in he is always a bad guy. Not complaining he plays those roles so well.
i have seen godzilla movies since i was 10-12 years old and this one is undoubtely better its said the box office revenue was 50 mil but i think its more like almost 500 mil but thats how much i enjoyed it and there are a few good actors here
"Would be dead, or significantly injured" I agree 100%.
However, Kong does have his advantages, including having a connection with the ladies.
cool clariss reaction to godzilla : king of the monsters [2019] film - first time watching !!!!
I have a movie request for you. "Monty Python's Life of Brian". Also, fun fact. One of the monty python guys is an animator and did all of the cartoons for the holy grail.
This is one of my favorites I'm glad you enjoyed it👍
When Serizawa nukes Godzilla, you can catch a glimpse of Agnuirus's skeleton
No joke every time I see Ghidorah dropping Godzilla from the sky I always laugh
I like to think of Monsterverse Rodan as basically Starscream :P
Solid sequel ❤❤
12:16, The word you're looking for is Pterosaur.
His name is Rodan
Whelp, Red Sox will have to play a lot of road games that season...
It is what it is, just entertainment.
The Moth is Mothra
The Tyranodon is Rodan
and the dragon is
King Ghidorah
4:30 To paraphrase one of the dumbest smart people in fiction, to an ant, an elephant is a monster. We're just used to being the elephant.
This movie I went to the theaters and I was poppin off with this movie
I wish I had watched it in cinema
I know that Godzilla and Mothra are different species but yeah I ship them.
Their is only one that will never bow to Godzilla…
You either drop to your knees, or fall on your back. There's no middle ground with Godzilla.
Time for Godzilla vs Kong
Check out the tie-in prequel comic Aftershock.
And then it went on full godzilla showa era style after this. Still good though. But its gonna be alot different now starting the next one.
you know what? i think i wanna hug him to
i'll post here too haha, could you watch Tarzan from disney next time ? you're great !!
Here ya go! ruclips.net/video/Mg4Le30Dlg8/видео.html
Check out the original "Godzilla vs the Sea Monster"
Hi clariss firstly love yours and your hubbies reactions you guys are adorable got to suggest you watch the horror movie the descent it is one of the best horrors/thrillers ever 😊😊
If i had a nickle every time i've heard a girl saying that Godzilla it's cute while reacting to Godzilla King of the Monsters i'd had two, witch its not much, but it's wierd that it has happend twice
Dude, you're for a ride when you get to GvK.
I feel like Serizawas sacrifice is a really poignant scene. Especially when it's the only scene in Godzilla cinema history where a human hand touches Godzilla.
I feel there's a bunch of stuff there that could be analyzed there (probably by someone smarter than me).
You look amazing
KoM is nice and all but I can't wait to see if you're going to watch Shin Godzilla, and Godzilla Minus One whenever that comes out of Japan.
Cheers C!
makes me wonder, why didnt godzilla power up when this happened? in the new movie, and its already in the trailers so no spoilers, he evolves there, but he could have done that here and ghidorah would have been no match for him. i guess ghidorah was not that big of a threat for him.
Can we get her a godzilla plushie lol
If u ignore all the human drama and focus on just the monsters (other then serizawa he’s the only good human), this is easily the best film of the franchise
Hope you enjoy the new monsterverse movies, and btw I highly recommend watching CLOVERFIELD if you are into a horror approach to a monster movie, and I think that its very unique because it is filmed in a found footage style! Definitely give it a try if your interested :)
Calling Godzilla “cuddly” is crazy 💀💀
10:08
