If the problem was opening the dishwasher early, then you should be able to run a load at night and wake up to dry dishes. Certainly can’t do this with a Bosch dishwasher. The problem is that Bosch was chasing an energy star rating and made a dishwasher with no heating element. This is like making a car with a great suspension system but no tires.

Just purchased and hate how wet the dishes are. NOT OPENING BEFORE THE CYCLE IS FINSHED! It ran the full 2:20. My old Whirlpool was so much better - dishes were dry and actually felt clean. Sorry I took it out. Never will buy this brand again. Brainwashed into believing this was the best out there. Sorry I fell for it.

I wish I knew before I bought mine the dishes do not dry even if I wash them at night and open the next morning, and there is always water in the recessed area where the filter sits. So disappointed.

Brand new $1600 dishwasher does not dry. Period. When I sold my old house, left the dishwasher there. 6-8 year old Kenmore, dishes were so clean and hot, couldn't touch them. This new Bosch, dishes stay wet and clammy. Sucks.

Doesn't resolve the issue. Old comment was cleverly flagged so people can't see the true feedback. Shame on these people.

The way some of the newer higher end Bosch's dry is they determine when there is saturation and the walls no longer collect moisture ... then they automatically open the door slightly.

I bought a new Bosch Dishwasher about 8 yrs ago. I gave $550 at Lowes, they said it was one of the best they had. Here is what I know about this dishwasher. The first two weeks it worked great. Then every time i opened it the wheels that hold the racks would pop off. What they did was break off. Sending a small peace down into the washer. Some how that small peace found it way down into the drain motor. That was the only thing I could figure so the drain pump propeller broke off all the fins. So it would not drain. I called the guys out to fix the machine 9 times in the first 3 months. One guy said he replaced the drain motor. Yet it would not drain the dishwasher. About a year later I called again and a fellow shows up and takes a shop vac and sucks out around the drain pump. And told it was working. But it was not working. I said to the hell with it and waited uptil the warranty ran out. I took it apart and replaced the drain pump. Sure enough the propeller fins were all broken off. Not sure if the guy replaced the motor or not. But it stated draining after I put the new pump on. Those little plastic wheels that hold the racks in place, so it will roll out are $ 10 ea. I have replaced 10 or so already. And now I have 4 that need to be replaced. Tonight all it does is hum. I hear no water. So, I took a shop vac and cleaned out the drain pump and the float. And it seems to be working. I wash the dishes before they go into the dishwasher because I do not want anything getting to the drain motor. It was about $60. I do not know what else is out there, but I know this POS. IF you are in the market to buy one. Take my advice and give somebody $20 or so and have them to kick you in the nuts. Yeah it will be painful and cost you less. And you won't have to put up with having to repair the POS.

I wish I could return my 3 day old $1300 Series 800 because despite it allegedly having a circulation fan to dry the dishes off according to the marketing wank, it leaves anything not constructed from ceramic or stainless steel very wet. I was going to buy a Kenmore or a Maytag for around $650 but I was talked into it by the 'appliance expert' at Home Depot who said the 800 series is seconded only by the Bosch Benchmark series (which costs two and a half mortgage payments - $2600) for its ability to dry plastic, silicone, and UHMW items. However, Home Depot will not accept a dishwasher return after 48 hours. Since I only need to wash dishes once a day, at the end of the day, I have only ran it twice. The first time I just hit 'normal' and wet dishes was the result. The second time I hit the Crystal dry function and normal and wet dishes was the result. I just hope that tonight when I run it again on 'auto', crystal dry, and sanitise (as some threads online say to do for the best drying) it will actually dry my dishes. If not, I got screwed by the guy at Home Depot who sold me a dishwasher at twice the cost but without the ability to finish the job it was supposedly designed to do.

2024 - still not drying. First I always let the machine complete it's cycle and even an hour beyond (and overnight) before unloading. On this band new Bosch SHP65CM2N, I tried Autoair, and "intense drying" (not sanitize - you can program an "intense drying" setting), both these settings leave dishes only kinda dry. Both top racks have pooling water on the frame and are dripping wet and the stainless interior has heavy condensation, so obviously it is attracting the moisture as you state, and because the racks are dripping when you pull them out, all that moisture falls onto anything that was only partially dry. Technology is joke - it does not dry, period. I have to try the sanitize to see if that works, but do I really want to have the dishwasher run/dry >2 hours? And if I need to do a speed cycle then I have to hand dry the dishes? I had a 2010 Kitchenaid dishwasher that had a stainless interior, was set to auto sense and nothing to consider for drying (other than sanitize which I never used ) and it ALWAYS dried my dishes bone dry. I'm not sure what to do and wonder if I can return it, this is not acceptable.

Did you buy the Auto-air version where the door opens or the less expensive model that has now been discontinued? If you have the door opening unit, make sure your adjustments are correct and the door opens at end of drying cycle. My 500 Auto air series works and dries marvellously.

I have this issue. NOt only that, but it would not turn off. After replacing the control board and still have the same issue running over 8 hours.. It stays on all night until I turn it off. I finally run let it run couple of hours just turn it off and open the door and let it air dry. Mine has no display so it is hard to program.

Gotta call B.S. on this so called fix.
Brand New, March 2024, wash dishes at night, and in the morning I find dishes wet.
This should not happen on a brand new high end machine.
It’s missing an important part of the process “ Drying “, ,,, So I’m having to do manual labour to complete the process.
To me that’s just not acceptable when paying top dollar.
My wife and I are really disappointed with this, not to mention that it’s also a nightmare trying to figure out how to use all the features ,even after reading the manual and looking at countless You Tube videos regarding these issues.
