I am new to using the Cricut machine, thank you for your video. What if the image has multiple colors, for instance I want to cut a zombie from fabric but it has multiple colors. How would i go about doing that if the svg is one file? Does that make sense LOL

I phurchased a template as an svg, it has score/cut lines, i upload it into design space, I would like to add patterns and have Design space to score and print then cut is that possible?
Are you able to break apart SVG’s? For example, the template in this video: what if you just want to cut out one word not the entire thing. How do I do this? I am purchasing an ASL alphabet SVG and want to know if I can print single letters out or not

What happens when you do all that but it wont let you print and cut. It has a black boarder around it that wasnt there when you cleaned up your image. When u get to canvas it has a black boarder and will not be recognized on the maker. I fixed all layers too...

I keep trying to bring in SVG files with simple lines, but the design tool keeps outlining the lines as it did in this video. I am trying to draw simple elements on cards, not cut them. Do you know of a way to create these SVG files so they import as a simple line and not a "complex" outlined line?

I did the same thing, my cricket stayed in the box for a year and a half then I finally did get it out it's like they were talking in another language,
I am finally making some things now when they do these videos they act like you already know a bunch of stuff you have to know what they're doing just to get to where they're at., Go watch Jennifer maker and then go to her cricket beginner videos. That will help a ton I promise
Because Tanner while fantastic this is what they say okay well if you're a beginner and then they'll tell you one or two things and then they're right back to doing what they were doing before skipping a bunch of stuff you don't know yett. Dont give up!!

Hey there! Great info, however, what is the purpose in changing the font colors if your using a vinyl? Also, I'm having a hard time finding a Harley-Davidson road glide silhouette svg file. Any suggestions? Thanks
Changing the colors is useful if you get easily confused and want to make it easier to follow and easier to understand by having the same color in Design Space the same color as the vinyl you will actually cut.
graphic ocean is a good website and they're super cheap! I did see Harley Davidson in there.
Can you use just a part of an svg design or do you have to use the whole design as is? I'm new to to using Cricut.

Sorry, that's a Design Space issue. Cricut needs to update the software! The only thing to try is to quit and re-start the application.

What is the difference in a SVG and pcg? You mentioned it but went quickly past it. Thank you.
Sorry it should read png instead of pcg.
A PNG file is a graphic image, while an SVG file is a vector image. SVGs have multiple layers in them, allowing you to ungroup and make changes to them easily. PNGs are a single layer, so they aren’t as customizable as SVGs. 🙂

Ok, you inserted an svg file. But, so many files on web are not svg. How do you change a png or jpg to svg?
You don't. You have to create them as an svg.

Very very new. Can you not download every svg image you got in your bundle? Or do you only download 1item. I’m a very visual person. I want to actually “ see “the image. When you went to the download screen you could see the image but it was small. I’m so confused. Ughh

you must size it down in Design Space, this is a very normal thing :)

Hi , ive got an android phone with cricut design space I can download svg files but when I load it onto the screen I get an error message come up on the layers section which I cant rectify , im trying to get the 3d flowers but it won't work
Can you cover more complex images you only cover one color
We do in some other project videos. This training is for true beginners, however, you will download and upload an SVG into design space the same way, no matter how many colors it has :)
But how did u get that image onto ur laptop file? Where did it come from?
I see SVGs all the time & I’ve still not worked out how to get it from the group or website to my DS & then to actually work!!
I’ve tried emailing it to myself, people on Facebook say send it to a messenger then email it or airdrop etc…
