That is why I favor bodycams on all officers and they should not have the ability to turn them off for any reason. The gun didn't originate in California. You're right, gun laws don't work when you can just drive 3 hours to the east or the north and not be subject to them. How do you think criminals get guns? Have you ever asked that question? It doesn't just spawn into existence in California. Someone goes to Oregon or Nevada or Idaho, buys a gun (or a few) legally, and then comes back to California to either do their crime, or sell the guns to someone else so they can do a crime. People also steal legal guns from people who shouldn't own guns because they are irresponsible owners. Guns don't spawn into existence as illegal guns, they come from somewhere where they are legal. If you guys don't want to have a real conservation about this, and instead just want to stop thinking and cling to your biases in the face of overwhelming, incontrovertible evidence against you, then get used to reading about dead children every week.

"An oath to protect people"...the Supreme Court ruled that the police have no duty to protect you. Therefor, no oath. Calling you out Chief on that one. The 2nd Amendment however does give you the right to defend yourself.
They have more interest in protecting their pensions than they do our school children. That much is clear.
You will always have a right to self-defense. However the 2nd Amendment says nothing about that.

The disconnect is because law enforcement is SO averse to changing their behaviors. People despise what they were allowed to be, and have a difficult time sympathizing with them, because when a bad cop is caught, every union and blue clad person backs the bad cop.
