      George has hinted, or suspected our maybe was deluding himself and making up an excuse . But he's said in many interviews he thinks his water was spiked in the fight with Ali . He could've just been searching for any excuse for the loss, but then you remember Ali's cornerman admitting he tampered with Ali's gloves in the Cooper fight so he could recover you have to wonder

    • @nwchrista
      @nwchrista Год назад +5

      @@laurarules3642 On a careful analysis of the knockout in Zaire, Ali tapped George in the back of the head on the ropes and that's likely what dazed him and put him down. Otherwise, it was clear that George was losing on points and style throughout. In my opinion, and I've seen this fight 5-6 times over the years, Ali just wore him down physically and mentally. The final physical putdown was just a formality. It was a shame that George 'gave' up after this epic reversal of fortune. There was clearly some character issues there that needed more than could be corrected on the heavy bag, dogging Foreman.

He is also one of the best boxers from his era who has a stable health after that heavy hitting. This man needs to be celebrated more. He should be in the conversation when people are comparing modern heavy weights to Ali. He should always be in the conversation. He had more fights than any boxer in his era. 76 fights with 5 losses. Xtians say that by adam and eve eating the fruit, they gained a sinful nature, and because God can't be around sin, they were fallen. However, in order for them to sin in the first place, they had to already have a sinful nature. If they didn't already have a sinful nature, they wouldn't have committed the first sin. How clear it is that xtianity is a fabricated lie satan constructed long after Jesus departed. How can they see all these signs yet remain ignorant!
      If we were to disclude the works of anonymous john, and false prophet paul, Bible says no such thing as original sin or the need for God to commit suicide for salvation. Repentence equals salvation
      He will not die for his father’s sin; he will surely live. 18But his father will die for his own sin, because he practiced extortion, robbed his brother and did what was wrong among his people.
      19“Yet you ask, ‘Why does the son not share the guilt of his father?’ Since the son has done what is just and right and has been careful to keep all my decrees, he will surely live. 20The one who sins is the one who will die. The child will not share the guilt of the parent, nor will the parent share the guilt of the child. The righteousness of the righteous will be credited to them, and the wickedness of the wicked will be charged against them.
      21“But if a wicked person turns away from all the sins they have committed and keeps all my decrees and does what is just and right, that person will surely live; they will not die. 22None of the offenses they have committed will be remembered against them. Because of the righteous things they have done, they will live. 23Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked? declares the Sovereign Lord. Rather, am I not pleased when they turn from their ways and live?
      24“But if a righteous person turns from their righteousness and commits sin and does the same detestable things the wicked person does, will they live? None of the righteous things that person has done will be remembered. Because of the unfaithfulness they are guilty of and because of the sins they have committed, they will die.
      25“Yet you say, ‘The way of the Lord is not just.’ Hear, you Israelites: Is my way unjust? Is it not your ways that are unjust? 26If a righteous person turns from their righteousness and commits sin, they will die for it; because of the sin they have committed they will die. 27But if a wicked person turns away from the wickedness they have committed and does what is just and right, they will save their life.

    The depth of a person's humanity and drive to be the best in the sport can many times be mistaken as having one yet lacking the other. The absolute best heavy weights of all time, showed both of them in the ring and out.
