I love my sunroof shade, open and still a bit of shade. Tint the glass and it won’t be too much light when closed

Manual seats... may sound ridicuouls but that's to save weight. I opted for manual seats in my BMW cars (M2C and m235i), yes, manual seats on purpose in a $60-80,000 car, precisely because of that. Just like you don't really want too much electronics and gizmos in a sports car, just the basics, same reason. Minus the moonroof, same reason, extra weight in the wrong place. Oh, and never the stupid rubber mats that weigh more, look cheap, and unless you want to sit in a puddle. Only low gears in the sports mode. That mode isn't really supposed to be used on public roads at road legal speeds. That's why. Thrash it well past the road legal and you get your gears. BMWs with ZF 8 speed actually do the same in sport/sport+, albeit to a lesser extent, limiting your gears to 7 instead of 8.

Back to MQB I see. How is handling comparing to a3? I heard it's worse, because of heavier front.

It's been great! Compared to my old A3 which just had springs and sway bars i would say the RS3 does feel much tighter handling wise even with stock suspension. I'm more into straight line performance so in that area the RS3 really shines imo.
