And then some 40-50 years later Tyreal dies of old age as he is no longer immortal, and humanity no longer has that angelic connection and alliance. Wops.
Right? Couldn't Tyrael have reclaimed his immortality, and status among the Angels, and simply become an ambassador for humanity? Now he's just some nobody with no powers, that's going to die sooner or later. Then Imperius wins.
"Imperius, the archangel of Valor, is the greatest warrior in all of creation. He revels in war and combat and has led the hosts of Heaven to innumerable victories." Yet... we never actually see him win a fight...
D1 -You unexpectedly shove a huge ass stone into your head and wander around aimlessly D2 - The story is paced, beckoning, Marius was a pawn the entire time, most of the stones are destroyed, Baal is free building a huge ass army, Marius is given a merciful death for his servitude. D3- Michael Bay Transformers.
I have several questions: 1. Why didn't the rest of the Angiris Council come to aid Imperius against Diablo? What were they doing? 2. Since Diablo as the Prime Evil proved strong enough to overpower Imperius, why didn't he just destroy the Council members, or at least Auriel, whom he captured, to crush the angels forever?
He had to destroy the Crystal Arch. When an Angel dies, another one takes its place. This is why Malthael's dissapearance was so wierd. Everyone thought he was dead, but an angel of wisdom never appeared in the Crystal Arch. So, wasting time killing the angiris council would be ineffective if he did not destroy the arch fast enough. As for your first question, it was not their fate to fight Diablo, it was the nephalems. Intruding would probably result in a fuck up. So, they helped elsewere. One of the angels gave us the blessing to destroy the corruption, so they weren't entirely useless. The whole "Its your destiny" thing is just an easy excuse for blizz to have you solo Diablo. Personally, I would've loved to fight beside the angels and have mechanics where you gotta stand in their healing or keep aggro so they don't get killed or something.
+Qawssed Actually, the archangels don't naturally reform, while another angel appears to replace them, tyrael is the only example of the same angel being recreated. Yeah, the nephalem is basically stronger than either Archangels and Prime Evils because of their mixed ancestry, which is lame, but enh.
I love how they were able to make the cinematics look so much like they are from real life and yet in some of their other games they didn't do that at all yet somehow this one seems to be perfectly like realistic almost like it actually happened once.
It did happened in real life, his name is Lucifer Morningstar who fell from heaven whose dwelling in Pergamum/Pergamos it's where he'll be ruling over this entire Earth
You gotta remember what Tyreal said in the beginning. He said, "You shouldnt fight, your wounds arent healed yet" or soemthing along those lines. so he was still recovering when diablo gained all that extra power.
There's been a massive debate on what gender Diablo is. My opinion, he's technically genderless, but his figure is based on the gender of the last host he had. For the first two games the host was male, so it took a more robust form. This game Leah, a female, was the host, so the form took a more feminine, if still terrifying, form.
Well according to Biblical scriptures, archangels are genderless. Diablo, which is a reference to Lucifer (Satan) he was once an archangel. So going from this, he is infact genderless.
@@MADBADBRAD But the bible says the "sons of God" "came in unto the daughters of men" and had children by them, which were the Nephilim. That would imply that the angels were at least not genderless.
@@MADBADBRAD Satan and Diablo are totally not genderless plus Satan have already been known to be a Male also Satan himself isn't connected with Diablo since he's weaker than Archangel Michael can literally Kill Satan himself
Tal Rasha used his body to capture Baal in his soulstone similar to the way the wanderer was keeping Diablo's spirit within him. Tal Rasha suffered the same fate and became Baal in the same way The Wanderer became Diablo.
I agree entirely on that. Why does the music in the ending sound like the end of some Disney animated film rather than a Diablo game? This is really cheesy when compared to the endings for Diablo, Diablo 2, and the Lord of Destruction expansions, which made the endings dark and ambiguous. This one feels like everyone's about to hold hands and sing "The Circle of Life"
Metzen, the guy who is responsible for Diablo lore says her spirit is still alive out somewhere. I guess there will be a big quest to bring her back to life in an expansion. She was too young to die. She needs to become the new Deckard Cain and grow old and wise like him.
Still can't get over Leah's death however. There were no closure like Deckard's. And makes me sad how she didn't get to settle down a peaceful life and open an Inn of her own.
And remember, you only see 4 archangels, the fifth one, Malthael, is still around in Pandemonium due to Tyrael destroying the World Stone. There's also the issue with Imperius, since he was extremely pissed with the player, and especially Tyrael
I think it's also because it's a combination of all bodies of all Lesser and Prime evils. The spikes on the back are like Duriel's, the slightly feminine-looking body could come from Andariel, the 2 extra arms could be Mephisto's, and so on. Although, yeah, I guess the slightly female-looking body could be mostly because he reincarnated from Leah.
Yeah, I watched the behind the scenes DVD in the Collector's Edition after I posted that, and Blizzard confirmed that it was because he possessed Leah.
Did Imperius know that Diablo became the Prime Evil? If he did, maybe he would have called the others.. Instead he tries to solo him and gets curbstomped
I agree, I really enjoyed this ending. I felt it was at least on par with D2, maybe not much better but certainly not worse. It had all the same elements as D2's cinematics. Angels fighting demons with their incredible powers, the huge sweeping architecture and grandeur Diablo and Blizzard's artstyles are known for, booming voices cutting through stark ambiance. It was all there for me. I'm sure someone will inevitable call me a sheep for liking it, but I could care less.
On how the Evils relate to the final form: Diablo you know why... Duriel:his blades on diablo's final form when he stabbed Imperius. Baal:you can see spikes all across his arms and back. Andariel:the 4 arms like her 4 Tentacles and her feet. Mephisto: the horns on diablo's head. Azmodan:those two horns on diablo's back(like azmodan in black soulstone trailer). Belial:his shoulders and arm shape in diablo's final form.
lol @ everyone That is Tyrael and the player defeats Diablo. It is pretty much 3 cinematics in this video, since it says VIDEO_TS (3 times with short breaks). So in-between it's safe to assume there is the actual gameplay where the player defeats Diablo then transistion to the cinematic.
The funny part is, I was linked here from 4Chan under the exact circumstances you're describing and I still managed to enjoy it. Guess I'm just a hopeless Blizz drone. I'll go back to being the 'CANCER KILLIN MUH VID-E-O GEMS' now.

the glorification of humanity in this game is hard to understand. humanity is flawed. so weak to influence. his trust and hope would be misplaced in our current real world. but I suppose it is just a game.
Its something I dislike about Diablo 3 compared to the first Diablo. I think its why its less scary. The first game was you as an anonymous human, battling against the darkness that you really have no business confronting. There was nothing unique or special about your character inherently, yet they chose to fight anyway and confronted the Lord of Terror. The third game quickly establishes your nephalem specialness and overall has a less frightening ambience.
I know the lore that they've done retroactively. That's not what I'm talking about here. I'm talking about gameplay's impact on lore and how that changes the feeling of the game.
perfectvalor humans are said to be the perfect creation of god according to different religions for man can choose between good or evil something that angels or demons can't
Because he is the combination of the 7 Lords of Hell, he has taken a similar form to Tathamet, which was a seven-headed dragon that was the original Prime Evil.
You are very much correct, This incarnation of Diablo does look quite different fron what we saw in the first and second games. I have no idea if it's correct, but I've always assumed that the physical manifestations of the Primes is to some degree influenced by their hosts. I.e. the Warrior from the first game became the wanderer, and was a rather buff male, leading to a musclebound monstrosity when Diablo maifested. Leah is a fairly normally built female, hence this more feminine look.
They said that there would be two expansions to come, if my memory serves me right. And we still haven't killed Leah's mother. Which for some reason none of them mention so I think that'll be the next encounter.
Well , it's a deviation from the darker tone of the previous games. The first one pretty much ended with the protagonist being taken over by Diablo. Both first games had a darker tone to them where else here Blizzard decided to give the audience a happy ending. I actually must say that I quiet like the idea of the ending being that we get to defeat the final villain instead of another cliff hanger.
I am thinking about considering to buy the game. Should I wait until Blizzard patches everything up or is it fine the way it is right now? Also is Diablo 3 a sequel to Diablo 2 the way Final Fantasy XIII 2 is to FF XIII?
Actually Jesus Christ/Yahweh also have a Statue of himself in Jerusalem too I actually Believe that Idol's are a literal Body for anyone to exactly why God is a Rock
Blizzard have made an expansion to every game they've made pretty much. Here is my guess at this ones, in the last cinematic in the end, where Diablo falls down and disentigrates, you can see the black soulstone still intact, continues to fall down further, but we don't get to see where it lands.
Imperius is also severely crippled by his own arrogance. He charges into that fight thinking he can't lose, and underestimates Diablo. Meanwhile, mortals (and Nephalem) *know* that they can lose, and take great caution while fighting demons.
to be quiet honest, Imperius is Diablo's equal. in the first cutscene where diablo lures Imperius into a trap, he does so to expose his rage to the others, disrupting their unity and weakening them. now Diablo, Imperius' equal, has the power of all 7 lords of hell, tilting the tide of battle far into his favor. as well, imperius does not have support, the unity is disrupted, making him weaker then diablo in his original state. so actually, no its not unrealistic. its INCREDIBLY realistic.
That means he becomes closer to perfection. This form come closer to Human basic form, and human form is one of the most flexibility in this world. A well built body doesn't mean huge and monstrous, but strong, light and fast. And I think Diablo have all.
Yeah then Diablo's blood leaked to the Sanctuary , formed the thing called "Petrol/Oil". 300 years after that glorious dawn, started to fight each other. Nice job Diablo
The hero in D1 was already twisted by diablo by the time he put it in his head, as you rightly said nobody in their right mind would have done so. D2 was a direct continuation of D1 and didn't alter D1 at all it just explained in cutscenes what happened between it and diablo 2. Agreed on D3
But this they do not know, ofc they know about Adria, but they do not know about the soulstone actually "survived", but my thoughts on the expo is going to be that Imperius may be the antagonist, which IMO could be very cool.
The answer to that is relatively easy lorewise, had Imperius been the personification of all virtues (as in had all the powers of the 5 archangels -. ignoring the fact that wisdom disappeared and tyrael fell willingly), he might have stood a chance, however Diablo had just unified the powers of all the other Great Evils in himself, obviously he is far more powerful now considering that there has to be at least some balance between the Angels and Evils, otherwise one side would have won already
The player characters aren't mortal. It's a "All There In The Manual" thing, but the player character is the child of an Angel/Demon and a human, a nephelim and therefore stronger than either humans or angels. The Worldstone bound them, but in the end of Diablo 2, the Worldstone was destroyed, and the nephelim started to awake once more.
I found it funny how on one the forums or at a panel someone practically predicted that Leah was Diablo. Also sad to see Leah die, she had a fine ass like her mom.
I said that blizzard had no problem reinventing and inventing new villains. Wouldn't surprise me if we got to face some fallen angel in the next expansion and than get to fight something like the seven headed dragon in the final expansion. Just because blizzard decided to kill of one character doesn't mean than there can't be any others left.
=/ Do you understand that once he held diablo's soulstone in his hand diablo was already in his mind twisting his thoughts... If you look up the story in diablo 1 you will know that Demons can influence humans without having a form (trapped in the soulstones), that was happened to Leoric. And a second fact, is that by defeating diablo, the wanderer became arrogant, so diablo just had to create a little confusion to make him believe that he could take diablo in his mind.
remember though...nephalem have the power of BOTH angels AND demons, not just one. and when diablo began his attack against the spire, all angels were knocked out, as it was the fount of their power
Tyrael: "...we shall stand together, angels and men..."
Malthael: "lol nope"
This should be top comment.

O santuario nas faz sentido, o meu é luz
Imperius is also severely crippled by his own arrogance. He charges into that fight thinking he can't lose, and underestimates Diablo. Meanwhile, mortals (and Nephalem) *know* that they can lose, and take great caution while fighting demons.
I think you're confused. Tyrael isn't the brother of the Warrior, Prince Leoric is.
to be quiet honest, Imperius is Diablo's equal. in the first cutscene where diablo lures Imperius into a trap, he does so to expose his rage to the others, disrupting their unity and weakening them. now Diablo, Imperius' equal, has the power of all 7 lords of hell, tilting the tide of battle far into his favor. as well, imperius does not have support, the unity is disrupted, making him weaker then diablo in his original state. so actually, no its not unrealistic. its INCREDIBLY realistic.
actually its because his vessel was leah. a demon body is roughly based on the host body
Nice job Diablo
this isnt the end, this is the beginning of act 4
I didn't think they would be able to beat WoL ending, but they did it. They out-cheese'd Starcraft 2 ending. Congrats.
IN THE LIGHT OF THIS GLORIOUS, NEW DAWN.
Ah do you use maya or 3d max?
I found it funny how on one the forums or at a panel someone practically predicted that Leah was Diablo. Also sad to see Leah die, she had a fine ass like her mom.
I said that blizzard had no problem reinventing and inventing new villains. Wouldn't surprise me if we got to face some fallen angel in the next expansion and than get to fight something like the seven headed dragon in the final expansion. Just because blizzard decided to kill of one character doesn't mean than there can't be any others left.
The "mortal" is a Nephalem: "From demon and angel came the nephalem, greater than anything ever created in the cosmos!".
