Be sure to keep Alan in your prayers, he is going thru some major health issues. We are all getting older, and it happens. God is still good, no matter what. What a Savior!
Alan Jackson is a great American singer & songwriter who blended traditional honky-tonk & mainstream country pop sounds. He has so many hits such as "Here In The Real World", "Wanted", "Chasin' That Neon Rainbow", "I'd Love You All Over Again", "Someday", "Dallas", "Love's Got A Hold on You", "Midnight in Montgomery", "She's Got The Rhythm (And I Got the Blues)", "Tonight I Climbed The Wall", "Mercury Blues", "(Who Says) You Can't Have It All", "Little Bitty", "There Goes", "Who's Cheatin' Who", "I'll Go On Loving You", "Chattahoochee" etc
Right! That beautiful sound is the steel guitar ☮️❤️👵🏼. We used to get four songs for a quarter on the jukebox!! 👵🏼
Hello there Sharon nice meeting you here
My favorite songs by the icon Alan Jackson are Remember When, Livin’ on Love, Where Were You, Small Town Southern Man, I’ll Try, Here in the Real World, Drive, She’s Got the Rhythm, The Older I Get, So You Don't Have to Love Me Anymore, Monday Morning Church, and I Can't Do That Anymore (recorded by Faith Hill).
the guy who plays the bum in the video also played the town drunk Otis Campbell on The Andy Griffith show in the 60's, and George Jones also has a cameo sitting at a table in the background
I love when this song comes on at the neighborhood tavern??? The WHOLE BAR ....will b singing it!! It's great!!!!
Love Alan and George who has a cameo in the video
Hi Greg...
2 songs about heartache today...very different genres but heartache...
Keep your heart healthy..👍😉...🌿🌿🌿
Listen to Alan’s songs WHERE WERE YOU WHEN THE WORLD STOPPED TURNING, and MIDNIGHT IN MONTGOMERY, and REMEMBER WHEN
Yes that's a steel guitar. I see lots of recommendations for more of his fun stuff, however, you need to hear his 9/11 tribute that he wrote immediately afterwards, called 'where were you when the world stopped turning' it is amazing. Also, 'Remember when' about his wife of 40+ years. He is one of the GOAT's of country.
Hello there Cathy nice meeting you here
@@justiceharrison5142 You as well.
@@cathybrookeburt2616 how are you doing today?
Alan Jackson is my favorite country singer of all time besides George Strait. More Alan please!! ❤
Now you gotta play "Pop a Top again" The video is hysterical Also, have you listened to any of the Jones he's talking about? George Jones? Don't do it unless you're read to be hit hard in the feels. He's a legend for a reason.
He doesn't mean to not make the jukebox skip, he means to not play rock songs. He wants to hear some country music.
Alan Jackson: 5 oclock somewhere or Chatta hoochie!!! They will make you smile!!
Hello there Donna nice meeting you here
The steel guitar has it's own distinct sound
Check out Mark Chestnut "Bubba Shot the Jukebox". Also Travis Tritt's "Here's a Quarter (Call Someone Who Cares)" and "Lord Have Mercy on the Workin' Man", Randy Travis "Promises", Willie Nelson's "Ride Me Back Home", Willie Nelson and Roger Miller "Old Friends" and Willie Nelson and Ray Charles "Seven Spanish Angles".
Hello there Sandra nice meeting you here
Great, fun AJ song ...Chattahoochee the Offical video,,
Hello there Pat nice meeting you here
"His song " Where were you when the world stopped turning" 9/11 tribute is amazing
Hard to listen to... :( but well worth the listen . Peace & Love
Steel guitar my favorite sound and piano
Hello there Kim nice meeting you here
Did you see George Jones in the shadows at the table..then he stepped out of the shadow at the end. Always good to see 'Ole Possum '.
Greg, Every time I see you. You remind me of a young Eddie Murphy. Do other people think so to? Bless you.
Hello there Virginia nice meeting you here
The person who the "Heartbroken Hillbilly" is Hal Smith who is famously known for playing the "Town Drunk " Otis Campbell on the classic TV show Andy Griffith Show .
LOVE Alan Jackson! If you like this one check out Chatahoochie (sp?). It's even better. And dayum! You even liked the steel guitar!
He is one of the best!!
You should check out some Dwight Yoakum!! He and Buck Owens doing Streets of Bakersfield!! ❤️✌️
Alan has a song called, Good Time. He broke a world record for the longest line dance in the video. Just regular every day people crossing state lines. It's really cool
My favorites are Drive , Remember When and of course Where were You When The World Stopped Turning ( CMA Award Video) one of the last true country singers.
The pedal steel guitar you're seeing is the most complicated instrument there is.
That's an exceptional steel guitar 🎸 only the best for Alan.
Hello there Renee nice meeting you here
Right! That beautiful sound is the steel guitar ☮️❤️👵🏼
Pedal steel guitars are the only instrument that you can play one chord hit the pedal for another chord the press knee lever for a third chord.
I grew up in Laramie Wyoming and my parents owned a bar...they had a jukebox. Little Bit of Country little bit of rock and roll, kept everybody happy. Hello from Cody Wyoming you're awesome
Hello there Leah nice meeting you here
I've known this song since he released it and never knew that background story behind pretty cool thanks
Chattahoochee by Alan Jackson
A pedal steel guitar is an amazing instrument pedals that bend notes a whole note while levers bend notes a half note. You play with metal bar.
That is a lap steel yes. The guy playing the "flat" guitar us playing a lap steel guitar
Greg you need to check out the video where Alan Jackson is attempting to break the world record for the longest line dance to his song " Good Time." That special guitar is a steel guitar. My daddy always wanted one but he is too old now. My daddy worked hard for us all his life and because of that his hands are kinda crippled. I love my daddy. If you wanted to listen to a song on the jukebox and somebody got froggy you may have to smoke their boots. They're gonna have to put their shoes on cause you bout to beat the breaks off them.
Hello there Sarah nice meeting you here
I grew up listening to this only because my dad, rest his soul. Loved Alan Jackson. This is one I've heard many times in my teens.
Alan Jackson is definitely a legend in country music midnight in Montgomery is a must
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Steel guitar..correct.🥰
We used to dance to jukebox. Lol
Hello there Grace nice meeting you here
Yes, that's a slide steel guitar
Hello there Donna nice meeting you here
that is a steel guitar. My favorite instrument. Some are placed on the lap but most are freestanding. Thanks for your reaction.
Hello there Donna nice meeting you here
"If somebody hit the jukebox and made the record skip, would you get mad"? Well, Greg, that just depends on what song is playing. 😂 😂 The bartender would usually be madder than anyone about it tho. It's their equipment
When this song came out,we were younger and learned to dance to this at the dances after the rodeos were over....then when we were older we danced to this at the bars
Yep, steel guitar. There's also what they call the slide guitar. Don't need to react to it but check out Sonny Landreth's "Zydeco Shuffle" on KRVS to see/hear it.
very good reaction!!! I love your style..it is a steel guitar. They sound like they are crying at times.
Hello there Debbie nice meeting you here
It really is the best country song that is a anti-country song. lol
Such a classy man, I love me some Alan. 😂😂 Excellent intro.. rhec4life
Yes that is a steel guitar! My dad was an awesome player.
Hello there Barbara nice meeting you here
Playing the Jukebox for a quarter!! Those were the good ole days!!
Yup, steel guitar. I love your love for this! Believe it or not there is some controversy if a country band uses a steel guitar some folks say it's isn't real country. Only acoustic guitars and banjos and fiddles are "real" country in some older circles, but I have always appreciated the steel guitar "vibe". Don't you DARE make my song skip, you will owe me a quarter so I can hear it again properly. I don't care if I have to pull it out of your pocket or your ear, but you WILL rectify the situation. rofl
If you haven’t done it already- listen to “Chatahootchee”- video is tons of fun. And yes- for a quarter you could play a song in the jukebox back in the day. And if you rocked it- that song would skip! I enjoy your channel!- grandma from Mississippi 😊
Hello there Pamela nice meeting you here
U have to check out “Where were you when the world stopped turning” by Alan Jackson….it’s AMAZING

Can you do Independence Day by Martina McBride. Chilling and hits super close to home song. Thanks Greg Rhec4life
Try some Toby Keith. The trailer hood is really fun.
Its caused plenty fights bro
I love the sound of the steal guitar also sounds so good. Yeah a guitar on four legs is called a steal guitar.
I hope you don't mind steel not steal. Smile.
@@gospeljoy5713 Yeah I'm sorry I use speech to text program because my hands don't work too good sometimes it happens no problem
Try out Dwight Yokum , I sang Dixie
That's a steel guitar... I'm tellin' ya...
And if you hit a jukebox and made it skip, it would eject that selection and go to the next song... that started many a fight.
