Late to the party I know. I own a Seat Mii by Mango 75 ps. Had it 12 months and I'm an elderly driver. My wife and I love this car. Having owned all manner of large cars the room in this one is amazing. Yes the little gripe about the window switch valid but who's bothered? it's an easy reach and how often do you need to drop the passenger window while driving? Later models do indeed have both on drivers door. As for the steering wheel rake and reach, not many city cars have both do they? I take issue with the comments on the seats. My wife and I in our 70's just did a 1200 mile trip and believe me it's a very nice drive and comfy too. Just as happy on the motorway as in town . Recommended as a sensible little car that feels big on the road.
I bought a Škoda Citigo I love it. It Drew’s weary well, both in city’s and on the motorway with 140 KM/H. I am in apselutly love it’s amazing fuel efficiency. It Drew’s 100 km on 3 liters of fuel
I have the Mii iTech. It has dual electric window controls, AC, aux jack, sat nat and only costs £50 to fill up a full tank. It's nippy, quiet, feels solid and cruises at 70mph on the motorways. This car does everything you need. Buy one if you are in the market for one. You won't regret it.
She goes on about no dual controls for the window. But if you look, there is a toggle to switch from right to left. Allowing you to control both windows with one switch.
Could you better explain the position of the switch you are referring to? at 4:17 the L/R switch is for adjusting mirrors / activating the mirror heater, not for the windows.
What you don't get is opening rear windows, a parcel shelf that rises automatically, boot lights, driver side controls for both windows. Having said that the 2012/2013 Seat Mii Toca/SE is great value used now
Too right, those side skirts on the Up! look ridiculous plus the name has been mocked repeatedly by Top Gear so I think it should go on the ultra uncool section on their car wall.
4:15 If you're going to cut costs by removing one switch, the least you could do is put the two others in the center of the interior, and not on the doors. Why car designers haven't thought of this???
Mine's a 12 reg Mii SE. But it doesn't have the foglights. Was that an optional extra? Looks like this one has a sunroof too. How is it zero road tax? Mine's £20
Please include a short comparison of the cornering ability of the car being reviewed with other cars of the same class. You guys do it for more expensive cars but not for these small cars.
I love this car. I would take mine in a white with dark polarized windows and a manual transmission for sure. There is only one issue I have with this car and that is the fact that they do not offer it in the United States.
It seems vw have decided we adjust the heater controls more than the radio (I know steering controls etc) but for me it's a wierd set up having them so high up on the dashboard.
can't remember which, but there are a couple other new cars (apart from this Mii's VAG siblings) that don't have passenger window controls on the driver's side. Wouldn't an easy fix be to just put both window buttons on the centre console?! Don't need an engineering degree to figure that one out
If I had to choose between the vw skoda and seat, and let's face it, only the badge is different in this case, I'd go for the seat. I like their design more, and the fact that the interior is white, and not black like the skoda's. That also adds to the sense of more space. Apart from the lousy position of the window switches, I must say, this is a great car.
Actually, I would do the same, especially if I wanted one second hand, because SEAT cars depreciate faster than VW and SKODA ones, despite being almost the same in this case.
Mii, Up and Citigo are all the same car. Same engine, same everything apart from bumpers, lights, wheels and some dashboard parts. Basically cosmetic parts change, that's all. Similar to the Aygo/107/C1 which are all the same car as eachother.
Very well apparently. Once you get up to motorway speed its fine. Obviously you dont have power reserves the same as a sports car, but you learn to drive accordingly. A lot of people complain about low power engines, saying you cant overtake safely etc. Well, why do you need to overtake? If you are on a B road, sat behind someone doing 40 in a 50 limit, why bother overtaking? It wont knock an hour off your journey, its just impatience. As for the motorway, you dont need to overtake anyone at light speed do you? Proper lane discipline and observation an planning is the key. Bad drivers always blame everything else for their own failings.
This would actually fit under that class. It would be competing with the likes of the Ford Ka, the 3 way split of the Toyota Aygo/ Citroen C1/ Peugeot 108 and it's stable buddies the Skoda CitiGo and the Volkswagen Up.
I still think the Hyundai i10 is the best of these city runabouts. It's got the most powerful engine (apart from the Up! GTI that is) and it has the best base spec. It's still not ridiculously expensive either.
Nice car just some questions, Can you get a spare wheel with it? and is the MPG not as good as a Seat Ibiza ecomotive? and Is the automatic gearbox any good or is the manual the best? Thanks. ANYONE WHO KNOWS THE ANSER TO ANY OF MY QUESTIONS PLEASE REPLY!!!
Might be great cars buts what's going on with the VW groups naming strategy for these three models. Would have been much nicer to bring back some old names for this trio. This would be much nicer as the Seat Malaga, the Skoda Garde and the Volkswagen Lupo! ;)
When she mentioned the ncap 5 star thing and said "with that in mind lets take it for a"I thought she was going to say crash.Sadly she took it for a test drive.
Euro NCAP safety tests are car-segment specific and not absolute, aren't they? e.g. a 4* Merc S Class would still be safer than a 5* Fiesta. Therefore, the safety of this car is only judged against vehicles of the same class or in that case, these small ones would always only get 1 or 2 stars.
Thank you very much for your usefull mii review! It helped me make a right decision. I would like to say also a big thank you for your wonderfull english. Best regards! N
My observations: The SatNav unit is handy - but - that stalk attached to it is rather big so I think that overall irregular shaped unit would be problematic to store in any bag never mind a handbag. And what if you don't have any bag? Vulnerably store it in the car? The seat trim is ugly in the reviewed car. A/C is necessary these days but wasn't mentioned - does it come with A/C?
You know the cost cutting is out of hand when they didn’t put two windows buttons on one side. Such loss of convenience for such a negligible price considering you’re buying a whole car.
If the boot was just a little bigger I'd love it.....I like to bring my King Charles puppy with me everywhere :) Also....aren't there huge issues with the gearbox?
I checked we only have the Jetta and the Golf as there smallest models available in the U.S. we don't a lot of europe's small cars which sucks because petrol coats 2.50 per gallon and only 2.55 for diesel here in the U.S.
Austin Noriega well then i don't what to say then.. 😒 indeed in America you don't have a lot of cars that are made here in Europe even Renault, Citroen, Peugeot, Skoda, Seat etc. Refered at the car from up, my bro have precedent model and for town is a great car and spacious despite design exterior . I have 1,82 cm and i feel excelent in front and back inside :)
petrol in the US is cheap, that's why fuel economy and smaller cars aren't as important.. in Europe some countries sell petrol at that price per litre and not per gallon. 1 gallon = 3.78 litres. So we pay almost 4 times as much for petrol as you do in the states.
+Ian your joking!!!! That's insane! We're only paying $2.29 per gallon in my town! Why are they charging Europeans so much? How much is diesel in the UK?
It does - the problem is: YOU NEVER GET THE BLOODY CAR!!! I ordered my Mii in FEBRUARY - I was told I had to wait until MAY. It is July now..... last I heard, I was told it would be delivered at the end of AUGUST. Good car - but the production and delivery workflows seem to suck big time!!!
Late to the party I know. I own a Seat Mii by Mango 75 ps. Had it 12 months and I'm an elderly driver. My wife and I love this car. Having owned all manner of large cars the room in this one is amazing.

I just bought one of these. Can't wait to get it on saturday!
How are you finding it a year on? I'm thinking of buying one!
Two years on it's still just as good as when I first bought it. It's amazing.
+Jennywren7 how much was?
I bought a Škoda Citigo I love it. It Drew’s weary well, both in city’s and on the motorway with 140 KM/H. I am in apselutly love it’s amazing fuel efficiency. It Drew’s 100 km on 3 liters of fuel

Mine has dual control of both windows. I'm very happy with it so far, I bought it 2nd hand liaising 1 year and a half ago. I recommend.
car buyer seem obsessed with big bottles of water
Lol, exactly I do not tale a 1.5ltr bottle of water on most journeys :-)
Yep in the HUGE glovebox!
Great review as always, carbuyer. Rebecca is an absolute gem as host!
Seen her in an advert...she is a racing driver, now I love her even more ....
She goes on about no dual controls for the window. But if you look, there is a toggle to switch from right to left. Allowing you to control both windows with one switch.
That switch on the door is for the mirrors not the windows
Nope, the one for the mirrors is on the door panel, I know as I owned one.
Could you better explain the position of the switch you are referring to? at 4:17 the L/R switch is for adjusting mirrors / activating the mirror heater, not for the windows.
Just buy the version with the pan roof and the passenger window is irrelevant anyway.
her reviews are getting better :)
What you don't get is opening rear windows, a parcel shelf that rises automatically, boot lights, driver side controls for both windows. Having said that the 2012/2013 Seat Mii Toca/SE is great value used now
I find the Seat mii more attractive than the VW up , inside and ouside .
I do too!
Yep the Up is firmly down in my opinion, very plain looking and somewhat spoiled by the big vw badge IMHO!
Too right, those side skirts on the Up! look ridiculous plus the name has been mocked repeatedly by Top Gear so I think it should go on the ultra uncool section on their car wall.
@@oliverleonard7730 I wouldn't say the up was mocked, jeremey clarkson seemed to love it, it was in an endearing way imo.
4:15 If you're going to cut costs by removing one switch, the least you could do is put the two others in the center of the interior, and not on the doors. Why car designers haven't thought of this???
There was a time when we just wanted Mat back on CarBuyer, but hey, she is actually becoming really good! :D
Mine's a 12 reg Mii SE. But it doesn't have the foglights. Was that an optional extra? Looks like this one has a sunroof too. How is it zero road tax? Mine's £20
I wish Seat and Skoda would come to America.
just bought this car last week! still waiting for it!!!!
My 3 favourite city cars Smart Firtwo, Seat Mii and Toyota IQ
Please include a short comparison of the cornering ability of the car being reviewed with other cars of the same class. You guys do it for more expensive cars but not for these small cars.
How would I know if my model should have a sat nav
I love this car. I would take mine in a white with dark polarized windows and a manual transmission for sure.
There is only one issue I have with this car and that is the fact that they do not offer it in the United States.
The front is like an evolution of the older Seat Arosa.
Great video, but no one thinks to pull down the seats and show the full rear carry space
Is there a GTI model
It seems vw have decided we adjust the heater controls more than the radio (I know steering controls etc) but for me it's a wierd set up having them so high up on the dashboard.
can't remember which, but there are a couple other new cars (apart from this Mii's VAG siblings) that don't have passenger window controls on the driver's side. Wouldn't an easy fix be to just put both window buttons on the centre console?! Don't need an engineering degree to figure that one out
Does it have a sunroof?
6 foot person fits ? I have 2 feet , I'm 1.87m tall , would I fit ?
Could Rebecca be any more adorable ? This car is just as adorable.
She's absolutely gorgeous, no car will be perfect but she certainly is.
I would like to see 0-60 test with the Seat Mii, VW UP! and Skoda Citygo :D
I'd like to see a drag race between the Seat Mii and Peugeot 107.
i like this car, it looks good and the interior seems nice. I like the look of the seats !
They should bring out a sport-version of this one.
its look like VW up in rear is it?
If I had to choose between the vw skoda and seat, and let's face it, only the badge is different in this case, I'd go for the seat. I like their design more, and the fact that the interior is white, and not black like the skoda's. That also adds to the sense of more space. Actually, I would do the same, especially if I wanted one second hand, because SEAT cars depreciate faster than VW and SKODA ones, despite being almost the same in this case.
nice weather and nice review there. Great!
Where does the 1.0 petrol engine come from??? Is it the same in the VW Up and the Skoda Citigo??? Who makes it???
Mii, Up and Citigo are all the same car. Same engine, same everything apart from bumpers, lights, wheels and some dashboard parts. Basically cosmetic parts change, that's all. Similar to the Aygo/107/C1 which are all the same car as eachother.
yu dint mention the huge load lip! major thing to miss for a car of this class
How would it manage something like a two-hour journey?
Very well apparently. Once you get up to motorway speed its fine. Obviously you dont have power reserves the same as a sports car, but you learn to drive accordingly. A lot of people complain about low power engines, saying you cant overtake safely etc. Well, why do you need to overtake? As for the motorway, you dont need to overtake anyone at light speed do you? Proper lane discipline and observation an planning is the key. Bad drivers always blame everything else for their own failings.
fine. seven hour trip with two stops.... road noise less than a fiat 500 (previous car). if you drive small cars, it's better than most.
This would actually fit under that class. It would be competing with the likes of the Ford Ka, the 3 way split of the Toyota Aygo/ Citroen C1/ Peugeot 108 and it's stable buddies the Skoda CitiGo and the Volkswagen Up.
Is the 5 door zero to tax aswell
which model get air con
Nice, is it in insurance group 1??? Is there any USB or AUX connectivity??? and Is it ok on the motorway or can it just handle city's???
triumphs can sound really good with their 3-cyls
they should make a 16 cyl model
Shame there are no central air vents on the dash...
Can anyone answer my question: why this over VW Up?
I still think the Hyundai i10 is the best of these city runabouts. It's got the most powerful engine (apart from the Up! GTI that is) and it has the best base spec. It's still not ridiculously expensive either.

Very good review jackson!
Might be great cars buts what's going on with the VW groups naming strategy for these three models. Would have been much nicer to bring back some old names for this trio. This would be much nicer as the Seat Malaga, the Skoda Garde and the Volkswagen Lupo! ;)
with which car does she say she is 5 foot 4 and a half?
The big bottle test is not very consistent. The bottle should be the same size for all videos.
You are lucky in the UK as you have a lot of choice in cars. Not so in Australia very limited choice.
When she mentioned the ncap 5 star thing and said "with that in mind lets take it for a"I thought she was going to say crash.Sadly she took it for a test drive.
Is it me or are the vw up, seat mii and skoda citigo the same car with names equally silly.
The closed captioning is hilarious.
The Seat and Skoda versions of the UP! are actually cheaper too.
Cheap and Cheerful . The car I meant. What's not to like?
So, what's the price for one of these?
They started from £7,800 up until about £10,900 but they are only making electric versions now and they start from £19,300
The problem is that Imperial system is way too imprecise... Use Metric system!
Thank you very much for your usefull mii review! It helped me make a right decision. I would like to say also a big thank you for your wonderfull english. Best regards! N

A/C is necessary these days but wasn't mentioned - does it come with A/C?
You are absolutely right!
ahem... 5'5''? would you like to reconsider this statement?
Ooh! I’m kidding, it’s empty, actually. (slight laughter)
Yooka: How do you know?
I'm 1.88 In Seat Ibiza 5 door my head touches the ceiling, in Mii it doesn't.
What phone is that?
the interior in this is MUCH nicer than either the VW or the Skoda..
no dual controls for the windows?? thats a deal breaker for me
They have them now. At least in Israel.
Newer models (15 reg onwards) have dual controls for electric Windows.
You know the cost cutting is out of hand when they didn’t put two windows buttons on one side. Such loss of convenience for such a negligible price considering you’re buying a whole car.
i like the size of the boot
Nice car, Love the interior !
Mii? As in the characters you create in the Wii?
Great comment Akisz83!! I really don't think you're patronising at all!
4:32 I thought the driver's window cracked
i think i am in love
maybe higher heels?
I find myself binge watching all these videos because i find her so attractive!
Simp
I'd take this over the CitiGo and Up!
If the boot was just a little bigger I'd love it.....I like to bring my King Charles puppy with me everywhere :)
Also....aren't there huge issues with the gearbox?
I wish they offered this car in the United States
Check at Volkswagen. They have identical model called UP. 👍
I checked we only have the Jetta and the Golf as there smallest models available in the U.S. we don't a lot of europe's small cars which sucks because petrol coats 2.50 per gallon and only 2.55 for diesel here in the U.S.

review dacia duster
Yes it is, good day :)
apreciate this show, for my ! (romania)
You grew a half of an inch since your last review!
She actually grew half of an inch since the last review I watched :) :) :)
Thank you very much!!! that is very good info:)
I love it..
you do it very good
I'm shocked that Nintendo didn't sue them.
Mii/Wii Cannot unsee lol
basically an up with a seat badge, which is worse for depreciation
the thing is with the seat it is the same as a vw up however it is cheaper to buy second hand which is good for first time drivers
Great car.But now SEAT doesnt do a petrol one.Electric only for £20 grand.......So out of my reach now.
She gets more confident too
five foot five...got half a foot in a month or so? (from five foot four and a half)!
although the up is the same, the vw version seems much nicer
You think this interior looks better than what's in the ne Mirage? You're nuts honey...
has seat copied from the big N? (Nintendo)
It is based on the Up!, yet it is cheaper, it does look like a bargain.
I think volkswagen owns seat and skoda. but they are different prices
