- What exactly is the difference between the wavestate and the opsix, you ask?! This week Product Specialist Natalie Chami will be joined by her friend, Brett Naucke, to dig right into this question. Sponsored by AMS
Wavestate does have the wave shaper effect. If you try at it, you could actually get some of the fm tambres, with wavestate, and if you also select similar sounding samples and place them into a vector envelope in different layers and apply wave shaping to all four, it can get pretty fm'y
These synths are still slept on by almost everyone. Combine either or both of these (Wavestate and/or OpSix) with Maschine Plus or Akai Force & you have a powerhouse of creation potential! I'm mostly a Roland person but Korg really nailed it with these synths! The Korg Modwave deserves a nod too.
Pls announce the MODULES......
notice these are always demonstrated making sounds and not music. Should they be called sound boxes instead? Do they need the keyboard?
Dear Korg, when we can expect module versions or Wavestate, Opsix and Modwave?
I’ve asked on their website and various RUclips videos multiple times and so have others. They just choose not to respond. Shame really no way I’m buying them with that rubbish waste of space keyboard.
Someone from Korg (Dan Phillips maybe?) has responded on the GS forum … and the answer was “no modules.” Maybe that will change if everyone begs long enough?
@@percussionboy4357 Korg seems to be separated from reality these days. I think we need a petition.
I would actually buy both of these, YET, only if offered in MODULE format. Have way too many K/B's.
Thank you for doing this. Now I'm torn between both of these. Haha.
need both! I got a wavestate because I found it for an insane price on Kijji, and now I have the GAS for the Opsix really badly as well..
Can anybody answer me that? Is any of this can play 2 different patches same time? For example one ambient on sequencer and some leads on keys?
interesting video. even tho i have a DX7 and a wavestate, i really appreciated the op6 contrast. programming the DX7 is basically insane. op6 looks like fun to program.
lol45:30 THEE wavestate factory patch. i also love that theramin vocal
hopefully korg can put these synths into minilogue modules. i'm not buying any more redundant cheap keyboards that feel like they are going to break when you use velocity. I already broke a key on my X50, some of the wavestate keys are starting to get loose feeling and i'm scared to really play the krome73 like a piano. i dont want to turn this into a yamaha thing, but a DX7 is a killer controller for the wavestate and i can beat the hell out of my MX88 keybed. I want to be a korg fanboi but you are slowing me down with trash keybeds. dear santa korg, all i want for xmas is a row of korg modules to go on top of my krome73. i can do my piano playing on the yamaha 88, but i need modules.
Everyone mentioning modules gets an upvote from me.
agree about korg keys , I've got Kronos 2 RH3 & D1 RH3 , I had 61 note Triton Le , a i5 , i30 , a PA series oriental , all had nice strong keys . Sadly I just had a Korg Kross 2 & the keys feel cheap & plastic , which they are. for another half kilo why not use decent keys . I am a Korg Fan.. I returned the Korg Kross .
