    Fucking fantastic I hadn’t seen this performance of hers before. If she had had this the following year she would’ve beaten Tonya Shevchenko for bronze

    BEAUTIFUL ROUTINE LOVED THE SPIN SEQUENCE WITH THE INVERTED CAMEL WHICH YOU ONLY SEE IN ARTISTIC ROLLER SKATING BECAUSE FOR A MALE I DID A KILLER ONE WAY BACK WHEN I SKATED FOR "SKATELAND WHITTIER IN CALIFORNIA. I JUST EXSPOSED ANOTHER FACET OF MY LIFE "OOPS"

    Her program is much better than Nancy K LP.

      Almost everybody of any consequence was better than Nancy that day. Seems like Nancy was 9th in the long and 5th overall.

      @@matthough3590 The judges placing this behind Kerrigan was disgraceful. Not sure what they were smoking.

  • @grantgoffin4774

    Not a fan of her but it is utterly disgraceful this was placed behind Kerrigan, LOL! What a joke.

      Kielmann beat Kerrigan in the long program here (5th to Kerrigan's 9th). Kerrigan remained ahead overall due to her lead in the short program.

      @grantgoffin4774 Год назад +1

      @@ronaround74 Wow beating someone you lost by 4 spots in the long program. Almost never happens. I stand corrected. I thought Kerrigan's bloated artistic scores for her terrible skate is what kept her ahead, but I guess it was the short program results only.

    @quelita28 The preparation in the final fling camel, the jump sequence double axel-loop-loop-double loop-loop-double loop, the preparation of the lutz and the axel taked off from direcly from the blade without the support of the toe-pick

  • @skatingcritic1
    @skatingcritic1 13 лет назад +4

    The roller skating moves are: the sequence of jumps including a double axel and lots of loop jumps, the travelling camel spin and the layover camel spin at the end. You can also see it in the way she moves generally, especially the take-off to the double axels - she looks like she's skating into the wind, like it's really hard work.

    • @RamonAlfonsoOMAR
      @RamonAlfonsoOMAR Год назад

      Indeed in adition by means of her roller skate background the jumps are complete and the inverted camel spin at the end ..

  • @stefrevollo
    @stefrevollo 10 лет назад +9

    Her best FP ever. She had room for the triple triple toe at the beginning, but she only started doing it during the following season. Great great program. You could tell she was on by the way she did not underrotate any jump, especially the final flip. Another roller-skate move that was not mentioned yet is the broken leg sit spin at the beginning.

    • @andreabaldacci1142

      +stefan revollo absolutely agreed. To my taste, she had the 4th free of the night, behind Bonaly, Chen, and Sato.

      +stefan and the travelling camel spin , and the combination doble axel, loop,double loop,loop, double loop at the end frequently used in roller skating programs...

    This was way better than Oksana Baiul's long program at the 1993 World Figure Skating Championships. Too bad Marina Kielmann wasn't skating in the final flight. Of course, both Surya Bonaly and Lu Chen were in the final flight of skaters and both outskated Baiul, so perhaps it wouldn't have mattered.

    How disappointing that a panel of top-level international judges can't spot an underrotated jump or a flutz when they see one. The NJS has a lot to answer for, but thank goodness they've finally cottoned on to the problem.
