I’ve seen a few comments about the content feeling “off” I think part of the reason for it feeling off is that no one is narrating while filming the video sequences. Leo would always be talking to the camera. I’m still a huge fan but the videos need some narration when there is no dialogue.
I disagree. Whoever is infront of the camera should be the voice. Especially with like 7 ppl around shouldn't be any reason someone behind the camera has to chime in.

Matt-make sure that the exhaust valve guillotine isn’t contacting the side of the piston. That’s a known issue with these Polaris sleds with a lot of time on them. The guillotine stop in the cylinder just wears out over time…Just grind down the edge of the guillotine to make clearance
If you don’t have the upgraded stainless steel ones, it’s heavily suggested to replace them, as when the guillotine stops wear, they can snap off and fall into the cylinder. Especially on the 800’s
The 2stroke / 4 stroke issue is partially power (and when it comes on the power band) but its also weight. Traditionally 4 stroke engines are heavier and therefore the sled is heavier and less nimble to sling around in the mountains. Tech changes and the difference may not be wide a gap anymore but riding an old 4 stroke vs a 2 stroke was night and day difference in handling in the powder.

Brp is right. We Canadians know how to build a sled. If you havent done it. DO IT rent 1 for a day i promise youll have the sled fever
Mag side CYL on the old Polaris Needs the fuel screw turned up the width of the blade of a screw driver from the Clutch side.. all the 700/800 edges sleds burn down on the mag side...We deff Experience that here in Canada With No speed limits and miles of logging roads.
Grind Hard has made some incredible stuff with the Arcdroid. They also interview the Arcdroid inventor, Andrew Miller, on their Sent and Bent podcast. I can't wait to see what you guys create with it!

Matt check your jets in the carbs. Maybe the previous owner jetted the one carb different and that’s why it more lean. Sorry about your sled. Glad to see you are going to rebuild it. Great video guys.
You can just tell by his comments about the f7 that he'll never let that sled win..wont do maintenance to get and keep it running properly..treat it like shit and bitch its a crap sled..while the allow a full rebuild on the polaris..it blew ..he should be out..the f7 is the fastest best suspended most reliable sled of the bunch..and stop sitting at the back of the seat when turning..get your balls on the tank and lean..ride it..be aggressive.
I have a free Polaris, Indy, 500 if you want it for a back up sled in the cheap sled challenge, it run runs for sure, the axle broke but I have another one and the bearings all you have to do is put it together drain the fuel tank, new gas you got a ripper ! I promise come pick it up Erie Pa

Good ol ethanol. And nothing has a petcock anymore but if it does when u store it let it run till it dies. And you wont need a carb cleans every year. Thats what ot needs.
Not seen that many of your video´s yet, but i watch new and last year. and it always seams to be 1 inch of snow and mud. do you get any proper snow ? :)
That thundercat has something audibly rubbing when it goes ripping past at full throttle, I think that may be the source of the smoke, I’d look at the track tunnel and the clutch
@@SXSBlog put a yamaha nytro turbo motor and CVT setup in the old frame. Yank it straight with forklift and some chains! Then can race vs the 2-stroke X3.

I liked Leo it was annoying when he was always trying to get the guys to do more crazy stuff for videos purposes only. Leo was all about clicks. It sucks that the SXS Blog as I've known since the beginning is all but gone. Hard to run a business and stay successful with a bunch of buddies.
I feel the pain blew up my first sled This year. Just bought it this year, there was so much blow by it blew all the grease out the bearings by the primary. It’s a 03 rev 600ho with only 3500 miles too
I understand what Doug means. I have an 04 f7 red team edition and man does it have some balls when it runs right and i have twin pipes, clutching, and timing done. But it just doesnt ride right. Steers like crap and doesnt have that mobility for you to throw it around in the powder like other sleds

That ain't a whole lotta mud... Saw a guy take a brand new Arctic Cat through the bog pit back when they used to have the mud drags up at Albright Shores... That thing flat hauled it down through there..
I love how long this video is👍👍 I don't think you guys should include regular maintenance to them snowmobiles as part of the budget I think the fuel filter on any of them snowmobiles no matter how expensive it is should not be included in the budget that is part of regular maintenance and if they need one then it was because of lack of maintenance from the previous owner!

it looks like it was sucking air somewhere. Crank seal or carb boot leaking at the cases would be my guess.

Make sure you check the crank bearings on that! Those liberty 800 motors are known for crank bearings!
