People don't talk enough about what a masterful mind Gui has. His ability to formulate training methodologies (not techniques itself but HOW to train) shows what a high coaching IQ he has.

What's this drama about AOJ poaching students from other schools? This blackbelt Gordinho was complaining about it a few years back. AOJ sponsoring athletes and helping them advance their bjj careers is a good thing. Last I heard, Gordinho charges people, no matter if they want to compete in Jujitsu or not

They produce more world champions then anywhere else as a single academy

This academy is too nice. Not a place to produce the highest level guys. For sure AOJ will have wins a blue, purple, etc. But the will falter at the highest level. Championships need to train gritty, not in an art studio in Costa Mesa.

@@jessecahill1577 Tainan moved to AOJ in 2015 bro. The majority of his training was in Brazil. And he still isn't high level, yet. Don't get me wrong, he is amazing in IBJJF, but ADCC is the Olympics of our sport. I will eat humble pie is AOJ produced a ADCC champ

Drive, work ethic, preparation, and technique can be accentuated in a nice gym or a shit hole. Has 0 bearing on skill.
