You say it best; I’m from the U.S. and I missed that window, this set is sold out at Target as of 11AM ET on 7/21….. I did manage to hopefully get the TF Roadblock and Tripwire set from Target however I ordered it on the app for in store pick up in the Bronx , so it may not even be in stock and their inventory could be out of sync we shall see in a few hours when they have to send an update on order readiness for pick up 😛 this on isn’t in stock anywhere near me though it must have had very small quantity shipped. Looking more and more like I’ll have to buy from another country and retail outlet for hard to get exclusives Shark eyes, great and in depth review really enjoy your reviews and commentary a lot. I agree about the shark mouth deco being more fitting for aircraft. I did like it on the the Tiger Sting I had as a kid aaaaand it looked better on the OG Tiger Paw than the way they layed it out on this one.
I was lucky enough to get a preorder in for this on Pulse but had some immediate buyers remorse due to the awful yellow of Tiger force. I am hopeful that Gridiron will make this an awesome vehicle, however. I may even repaint the Paw. As for Wreckage, I’ll probably give him a modern AK from the Gridiron weapons bundle I bought awhile back. Great review!
I think the helmet is a good addition. It a steel corps helmet with Tiger Force markings, so we can buy multiple Tiger Paws and do some slight army building with the extra wreckage figures.

good review bro even in the 80s I bought no tiger farce, all reuse mix of factions the vehicles looked good enough, but the figs... no and now firefly working both sides it seems I d be tempted with a loose olive green version, ditch the missiles for better ones innovate and make a working winch, hitch and trailer to carry supplies, weapons. lets go back to the 60s kits which you could do missions with accessories please the only vehicle I ever considered in python p was the x - 30 that was extremely well done equaliser and other marauders s tanks that had NO fig included. but, it never came to be, I was too late. I m tempted by a rc humvee now, olive green, interior, true 1/10 scale, no toy cheats! that is worth my team - figs for realism, and rcs are fun too, ha, ha. more expensive? hey, look at those.... we re abused! so now you know... good show bro
The AK is my vote. I didn’t pick this set up because I didn’t want the Tiger Paw. I may pick it up and sell the Tiger Paw, because Wreckage/Sabertooth looks awesome.
I'm probably still getting this, but all I see when I look at Wreckage I just see Firefly in tiger stripes. Add to that they made him a saboteur I don't know why they didn't call him Firefly. Ugh. Great Valu Firelfy. Bought his clothes from the Firelfly store. The Cobra vehicles in Tiger Force SHOULD be the exact same vehicle because the premise of Tiger Force is that they used stolen or captured Cobra vehicles.
I guess the perspective one would could have is that when Sabretooth was previewed back in the '80s, he too was a repaint of FF. Just like all the TF/PP figures were. So in a way, Lenny and co are paying homage to the character, whilst using the builds they have at their disposal.

I spent all day thinking I had lost the knife and pistol, I completly missed that they were in the plastic with wreckage, should have watch more closely
Great review. Wreckage looks awesome (even if he is a 100% repaint). Good to see that he doesn't have the same floppiness of the Firefly v2. Target should ship mine out soon or around the release date (next Sunday). Thanks for showing the different gun options as well.
Hey David, thanks for tuning in and the kind words. Yeah the floppy ab-crunch was my biggest concern going into this set, so some nice course coreection on that front. As for the alternate weapon options, had to be done because that SMG he comes with his butt cheeks lol
Quad bike meh repainted firefly and re-use of that damn awful smg meh this trend now just to repaint and call it sonething else is wearing thin a little bit !
I feel where you're coming from, but you gotta keep in mind that TF and PP were all repaints and reuse in the vintage line. It's not a new thing. With that said, at least we are getting new figures in those sub teams that we didn't get prior.
Tiger Force (and Python Patrol) never really landed for me as a kid so I avoided both lines outside of getting the Tiger Force Rattler one birthday (I was lucky enough to have multiple Rattlers as a kid). I'm glad you were able to get a hold of the figure and vehicle, and surprised to hear how difficult the line is to collect in Australia, but these sub-teams have been easy skips for me.
Completely understandable, Josh. For me some of the TF figures just look hokey (see: Tripwire). The premise of the Joes repurposing stolen Cobra vehicles was a good idea on paper, but the execution at times was just a bit meh. Thanks, man. Always nice to get more shiny new plastic to add to the collection of things we don't really need haha.
[edit] I guess the green on Clutch's Helmet wouldn't look that bad on him.. and Shockwave has the same one too so that is also an alternative option. So yeah the yellow hat think it a tad silly as is also the case on TF Roadblock too. I'll have to decide if I want to swap that head out, put some goggles on him or just leave his helmet on as I don't really want to look at that face tampo - it's kinda disturbing looking. I might just see if Desert Snake Eye's head will fit on that body or not if it does I think that is more pleasing to look at.
Wreckage was Firefly before the amnesia because of the huge explosion. Now he's a Joe!
I skipped Firefly V2 because I knew it would get reused. I'm glad Wreckage is 100% reuse. He'll be a two-face unaligned guy for me. Great review.

The AK is my vote. I didn’t pick this set up because I didn’t want the Tiger Paw. I may pick it up and sell the Tiger Paw, because Wreckage/Sabertooth looks awesome.
There's been a fair bit of love for that AK. As for doing what you said, I don't think you'll be alone on that front.
