Back in the mid 90s I was truck camping at Moraine Park in the Rocky Mountain NP, in Colorado. We were there about a week, when a large group of young people, arrived in the tent area. The first time I saw them was while I was walking the pup, they seemed like a nice enough bunch of kids. That night my pup woke me up growlling at something outside at 3:30am. I looked out the front window, after a few minutes I saw it. Someone wearing a light on his head, moving from camp site to camp site, going through other people's vehicles. He was a couple of sites from me. I'm not about to let that happen, I grabbed my 45cal, snuck out the door. I tossed a 20 on the driver's seat, closed the door and waited behind the truck. Surely enough, he went for it. And of course, I let him know he was busted. Once he decided that it was a good idea to lay face down on the ground. I had my ol lady call the Rangers, the county sheriff's also showed up. Needless to say, he was arrested, I told them exactly what I did, they got a laugh out of it. I testified at his trial, he received 5yrs for criminal trespass... I'm not a very good victim.
My husband bought a thermal sight behind my back. I wasn’t thrilled but now I see it’s so worth the money for surveillance. And he also has an AK with a backpack full of mags.
Day and night vision cameras on all sides. Before you step out check the camera. 2 way microphone allows vocal interaction before direct conflict. Never let yourself be caught off guard. Be prepared to call the cops and never go unarmed.
I carry a firearm not for wild animals, but for people. 4 years ago, I stopped two drunk guys from kidnapping a young lady while boondocking. They had her tied up already, and I could hear her scream from a way away, where I was camping. This was when I lived in Alaska, and was away from cell service and 50 miles from any house. Luckily after I showed up with my .44, realized what was happening and had them both at gunpoint, they took off. Troopers caught them a week later. I was able to get their license plate and description. Some people suck.
Awesome...... way to stop the criminal bastards in action! I feel very very bad to hear what she went through. It happens way too often and most people can't defend themselves. Some people suck. Thanks for your comment
I live not far from the canyon and see this all the time. It was probably foreign tourists looking for a place to stay. A lot of Europeans just park any where and camp. That may also be why they did not respond to your questions. It is amazing how they will just pull up next to you and set up camp, even if there are a hundred empty spots around. I have even had them blocking the gate to my property and have had to tell them to move.
Excellent topic and good advice. Yes that 4 letter word does happen! As you said it's just common sense to be prepared. As for firearms, I'm never without one ever! Bear spray is an incredible defense. Last year a rather large black bear woke me up in my camper. Went outside with a .357 mag and put the light on him. Tried scaring him away, nothing happened! Shot into the ground, nothing happened! Took a can of bear spray, shot a 1 second blast his way... Bear ran like hell right into a tree! bear got up and took off!! I highly recommend it! Cheers,..be safe!
You hit the nail on the head when you said projecting an image that it won't be easy to do a take over. So the best way I know of is to rack a shell into a pump action 12 gauge. That sound usually scares the hell out of anyone that has half a brain in their head. It also means you probably will avoid a fire fight or any other confrontation which is the absolute best outcome. Also throwing down a few pieces of bubble wrap attached to boards for weight alerts you to people near your vehicle. It can be handy for those times where there is no light and you can't see. It also alerts the intruder that he has been discovered and that his target is ready for him.
hahaha, but a very good idea, I use the sprays here in France when I work on roof's, there are lot's of wasps and Asian hornets, they spray up to 5 meters and will stop anything, very very effective.
I usually carry a 14'' barrel Remington 870 when in the bush or a Keltec sub 2000 when urban camping . Here in Canada the biggest worry is a Grizzly tearing into your camper at night . they can get through those thin walls in a heartbeat .
So, guns are a the great equalizer, but Some one mentioned it on RUclips that if you're inside your truck camper and fire a 12 guage or a 9mm you will loose most of your hearing 👂 👂..... So, yeah have all the goodies...bigger the better but a 22 would be a great start to start firing with and keep some of your hearing.... At the end if all fails yeah blast away with the 12 gauge.... 👍 I would rather be deaf then dead 👍👍
I had a guy try to open my door in the middle of the night and all I had was a knife. no more' I now carry a 9mm and I have a chl licence. you just got to protect yourself and your family.
Dogs work good and then the sidearm i have a bumper sticker that says " Vehicle protected by a .357 magnum 6 days a week, it's up to you to figure out which one day it has off"
Del-Rio Drifter that looks cool but you've given away your element of surprise. Some bad guys might see the sticker and move on while others don't give a damn and do whatever it takes to get the jump on you and take you out first. Just something to ponder on.
Install cameras on the camper w/ night vision for a 360 degree view. Allow you to check out the situation from the safety of your rig at a distance. Also 360 degrees of LED flood lights to illuminate the area.
Brilliant Insight on protecting your personal safety and PROPERTY, YOUR HOME!!!! This is a MUST view for Anyone, who lives in or is thinking about living in ANY type of RV!!!! One million stars...THANK YOU!!!!
I think most of the general public believes people in rv's are sitting ducks for crime. They don't realize the amt. of available tools in a basic rv, let alone the old special cabinet for advanced toolery. A couple of months ago I was at Oakzanita campground in socal. A drunk guy mistook my rv for the one he belonged to. At 3AM I heard him trying the door handle. All I had to do was chamber a round, and the sound sobered him up right quick. All I heard was, "Sorry wrong rv, be cool. " hahaha
Security is really very easy and actually a lot of fun. Here is what you need. 1 Bluetooth speaker, my choice is the Phillips 2500, has it own small amp, up to 100 foot range and you can play any sound effect you choose through this. Mountain lion growling, shotgun being chambered, dog barking whatever breed you choose, or anything else you choose with a push of a button. Cost at wallmart 44 bucks. I started with 1 and went back for 2 more. Motion sensor 12 volt lights, cheap and effective. about 50 bucks. High powered hand held rechargeable flood light 40 bucks or less now. People would be amazed at what sound effects alone, I was testing my sound effects system at a camp ground and it scared some one so bad as they didn't know where it was coming from and it was a mountain lion sound, they ran to the owners and next thing I knew animal control was out there. They knew not where to look, so I stepped out and asked what was going on. They stated someone heard a mountain lion close by so I showed them my security system and played it for them. They laughed so hard and thought it was brilliant, plus the fact there was no mountain lion they had to deal with. Its a sound effect, you can't be sited or get in trouble for this at all. In fact other RVers loved it so much they wanted one for themselves. I gave them the list of what to get at wallmart which was a bluetooth speaker and then I just showed them how to use it on their smartphones. Its a clean little unit and you can hide it anywhere and it could be a big dog barking and growling, to an elephant stampede which is obviously impracticable, but literally could be any sound effect you can imagine. Get two with sounds of two different lions growling and the intruder thinks he is surrounded. Get creative folks, pulling out guns as your first and only option is not the best choice. There are so many ways to fk with people in a non lethal way and you always have you guns as a last resort, think outside the box and have fun with it!!! In the morning turn on your favorite music or news with your cup of coffee and your smart phone and enjoy your day. Your speakers are where ever you placed them covered with levees or whatever and if you forget where you put them. Just turn them on. At night this is highly effective and works during the day also. We have the technology to do this and its cheap to do. Too many people think going outside with a gun in the dark is actually smart and the truth is its not to bright to do. Why not do it by remote control with sound, you can always do the stupid thing and walk outside with your dog. But I as an intruder also have a gun, first thing I will do is shoot your dog and then shoot you. The speaker(s) offer no target and nothing to shoot at. You can always play Rambo later if this doesn't work, but it works very well.
JoJo/Clem Kadilihopper ,I doubt seriously you've had any real experience to know what will happen. Depending on sounds and bright lights alone for your security is short sighted at best. There's criminals out there that couldn't care less that you're trying to trick them with sounds. If they watch you enough they can figure it out. So,what if it doesn't stop a determined attacker? You'll be defenseless. There's ways to investigate your campsite, home, yard or whatever with a firearm that keep you having the tactical advantage. Firearms should always be the last resort but if you need one and don't have one you're SOL. "Rambo" or not.
A lot of truck campers have smallish windows below the bed, pair that up with a slider on the pickup and just climb through. The truck window would have to be left unlatched. Being able to drive away was a concern of mine.
That's a very real story that I appreciate. Not always easy for guys to admit they have any concerns, much less fears. It's actually great to that you and everyone else who responded, seem to have few real issues out there on the open or closed roads. I think my biggest fear would be someone taking my stuff when I'm away from it. I know you can't keep an eye on your possessions 24-7.
I carry a firearm everywhere. I always have a gun on my hip and multiple firearms within reach. But my best defense is my 100 lb. Anatolian shepherd Max. Early warning device and will protect his family to the death. Like the other guy said I'm more Leary of the two footed predator.
A dog, especially a large protective dog. I have a black large German Shepherd Dog. He is a rescue, we are extremely bonded and he is very protective of me. I go anywhere and everywhere with him. I think even a small dog would help as they bark and you know someone is close by. Be safe on your travels!
Yes -- on my truck I have a German made battery switch that has a key that turns the switch on and off. The switch is hidden and it is on the positive cable that comes from the battery to the starter. So when the truck is shut down and you turn the battery switch off and take the key out - there is NO way anyone can hot wire the truck because the positive from the battery is absolutely cut off and out. So some one would have to run another cable to the starter in order to make it work and a thief is not going to do that - thieves in general are a lazy bunch - that's why they are thieves. Also it helps to have a Sig Sauer P220 in your pocket. You can buy the battery switch at : Pegasus auto racing supplies for $ 40.00 -- Single Circuit Master Battery Cutoff Switch -- Part # : 4431 -- It's High Quality made in Germany switch. -- I have installed them on several trucks and they always work.
I own firearms but they only come on hunting trips. I cross state lines all the time on my trips and it just doesn't make sense for me to tote a gun around unless I have to. I think that the two most important security measures you can take are 1) pick your spot carefully and 2) always be aware of your surroundings. I have a big dog and that helps me feel a lot safer. She has woken me up a number of times growling and 90% of the time its because she is watching someone through the window and she doesn't like the way they're acting.
That's why you have a decent ($300-$400) 4 channel dvr/tv monitor setup with night vision. You get 360 degree coverage, you see them and unless they have night vision, they can't see you.
I have motion detector lights along with bluetooth speakers placed about 25 feet from the rig that make sounds such as a 12 gauge pump being chambered to a mountain lion growling. Fking with people up to no good is actually fun. you would be amazed how effective a slingshot and firecrackers work. Grizzly spray has about a 30 plus range and will drop anyone, even if they are on drugs, just don't be upwind when discharged:). Deadly force is the very last option. You would be amazed at how a Bluetooth speaker with a growling mountain lion works. It can be mounted on the rig, set 25 feet from the rig buried in leaves or pine, whatever is available. Also people need to invest in night vision monocular or headset. I love the bluetooth speakers. I have 3 Philips 2500's, have their own amp build in, cost is less then 50 bucks and they have a 12 hour battery life on standby which is probably longer on standby. Now of course I have a shotgun and hand guns, but why go there when you can have so much fun fking with people with passive electronics that not only work great, but with night vision you can see a stream of wetness running down their pant leg. If you only have one option, then you only have one option to use and deadly force isn't my first choice. Sound effects will chase off 99.9% of any would be intruder and you can play any sound effect you choose, plus they double as music speakers and this particular model is also a speaker phone. And they sound good as they have their own amp build it.
Thanks for the additional words about what you use for safety. I had just read about those sounds you can record, and the Grizzly spray, and motion detectors. Great tips - thanks!
Seems a little much... Buy a gun, it will detour any would-be thief, assailant or animal! Even a .22 pistol will turn most people and animals around running...
Just stay in a campground, pay the fee, or stick your gun out of the escape hatch and fire a couple of rounds, you can wear you handgun in a holster at you campsite, it's considered your home
If you travel to other states during trips in your truck you cannot carry a pistol necessarily, because the laws for open carry are different. Kill switches work (if they're well hidden), have one in my truck. They can take my car keys and I will walk away, they won't get it started. I have a security system where i can manually beep the horn just to let people know it is engaged and someone is around. I can also start the alarm system from a distance of they do say "give me your keys and walk away". I'll say, sure, here you go...while i use the other set to cause them some issues. But private areas like that, well, maybe it wouldn't work. I usually just stay in walmarts, cabellas, kmarts, etc. over nighting.
I stay in my camper on the river quite a bit for fishing. Unfortunately most of the people that hang out on the river are not model citizens. I introduce my self to the people if there are some there. I open carry a 45 auto and I am as nice as I can be and respectful as I can be. But like you said I also want to let them know I am not the guy that they want to mess with. I have never had any trouble. Keeping your eyes open for trouble is a huge thing.
I installed 360 degree worth of flood lights around my rv that I can snap on in an second. I dont want to be blind to whats going on. and when I put them on anyone around my rv cant see me.
I would of messed with them and started my engine and turn on my headlights like I'm gonna leave then shut off the engine and lights to let them know your truck and camper is occupied. If someone tries to see if any of my doors is unlocked I would hit the panic alarm button that sounds the horn and flash the headlights lights over and over. Criminals and animals usually run from loud noises. Park under light if you can.
In addition to guns and knives, it is also a good idea to have a well charged cell phone and emergency numbers in your camper (police, etc.). Self defense training could also help. You have to protect yourself by any means necessary. Good video.
Yes excellent points. I was very general with my points made in this video. I've been thinking of a follow up video to give more practical examples of security methods. I always have a charging cord in all my backpacks for my cell phone. A solar charger is also a good thing to have if your out on foot or an extra battery for your cell phone to swap out. Yes training is the most important thing.....educate yourself from a variety of people, military, law enforcement, and backcountry guides. Thanks for your comment.
What I do is have several high powered flashlights to shine in peoples face along with a can of grizzly spray on my hip, now if I am really concerned I break out my 12 gauge pump with first round rock salt then 00 buck, also night vision is a good thing to have. Now if I am concerned about actually opening a door, then I pop the emergency hatch at the top with my .308 and a night scope. Could be a bear, could be a cougar, but the most dangerous of all is humans who do not answer. If you choose this type of living, you need bear spray, high powered lights and guns. I realize how adventurous and "romantic" this life style sounds but it does come with its level of danger also. Especially if you dry camp in the middle of a national forest. I had a cougar issue that got dangerously close, first round was rock salt which did the trick without killing the cougar, second round would have been 00 buck. I've had bear issues where a nice supply of firecrackers often do the trick. It would have worked on the cougar also, but I didn't have any firecrackers at the time. I have a 5 million candle power hand held rechargeable light, that I can pop up through the escape hatch and see anything in a 360 degree area 12 feet up in the air. Your security is up to you and one needs several ways to deal with it. I find firecrackers and a sling shot very effective and a lot of fun also. There are so many way to intimidate unwanted intruders...I even set up a sound on a Bluetooth speaker of a 12 gauge chambering a round or actually any sound you want including a police siren and a little novelty thing I picked up of red flashing lights. other things such as motion detectors where your outside docking lights are, so many things one can do if you just think ahead!!! Start with easy stuff, and if that doesn't work step up the level of defense and intimidation. I love Bluetooth speakers as you can set them up around your rig in seconds, bury it in leaves up to some 100 feet away and one sound effect I am messing with is a mountain lion growling. You can fk with people so easily just with sound alone. If the threat continues you have so many options to up your game including deadly force as a last resort. Also if you choose this type of lifestyle and boon dock in the middle of no where, invest in a decent set of night vision. There are a lot of weird people out there, including me, but I'm harmless unless you fk with me. Now when I hike I carry a .357 and grizzly bear spray which will stop anything including a grizzly of which it is designed to do. If you see a bear, leave them alone and if you see a mother with its cub?? Go the other direction, she will attack you. Just give her and her cub a very wide berth preferably in the opposite direction. Security and safety is not difficult and can be a lot of fun to do actually.
a couple of police or marine stickers on the outside or windows and the dog bowl and rottweiler stickers might be worthwhile also,,,,two concealed, one medium size, one in your boot holster for reserve would be nice also. Short shotgun or carbine would be good too..hidden fuel shutoff would be good also
I appreciate that you covered this topic I was just about to ask you to do a video on this and if you locked the steering wheel as you slept. I was surprised that you stayed and slept through the scenario you described Thank you for sharing your experience and gained wisdom
I have a method of making the truck so it will not start. So it eliminates the issue of someone breaking in and trying to steal the truck. Thanks for your comment
I'm looking at getting a pop-up type truck camper instead of the hard top type, although I feel like I would be safer with a fabric-free enclosed unit. I think the best defence is a good quality loud air horn alongside a method for disabling ignition, like you said.
At the beginning of your video I assumed you may be a little weak; high pitched voice and slight build but further into your video I saw a sleeping lion emerge. When you shouted out to the people you let them know you had no problem with confrontation. They may have been scoping out your rig to rob it but now know it was occupied. Then, you said you were armed to the teeth and wouldn't hesitate to protect your domain. I like that. That is what true Americanism is; the willingness to be peaceful and not want friction but if it came your way a full powered beast would respond. Kudos to you.
Here in Canada, my security, which is suggested by the local RCMP is I'll run on any sign of danger, and also give them the key. There is no protecting yourself in Canada, we want to protect ourselves but the RCMP will charge us as soon as possible...crazy isn't it!
What's sad is the theory proves itself false that in the event of an emergency a police officer is right around the corner!...Maybe in fantasy land but in reality the answer is no!!
You will be charged but generally a jury wont convict you if it was deemed self defense. However the legal fees to defend yourself will rob you worse than the criminal would have.
In a rental car in California I park the car aside a road in a forest area and go to sleep in the backseat in the middle of the night a police wake me up and tell me; You can not sleep here this is high criminal area you have to find a motel and this happend to me two times when I was crusing around in California for two months.
Stealth is important for wild boondocking........California is a police state so they are looking for every way possible to be a nanny and tell you what you can and cannot do. Thanks for your comment.
I think I will stick to camping in Canada. I have never felt any of that kind of fear while camping, even in a tent by myself. I’m more worried about bears. Part of it is that guns are illegal so not really worried about a gun attack. I agree that having a safety escape plan is important.
Hello hello, Colorado Camperman mentioned your channel, so I came to check it out. Nice video. I don't have a camper or RV (but maybe one day 👍) but I often wonder about security.
I agree with all you said. Stay armed and alert. Bear spray works very well. I prefer my AR15 or 12 gauge but I just bought bear spray for my mom and daughter cause they aren't to sure about carrying. Bear spray will deter bears no less low life criminals if your love ones don't want to carry.
What's up Vention. This is Dalton you helped me with my Dodge cummins back in 2011. Congrats on your newer camper hope your doing well. No issues at all with the fix!
@@WestCoastRoller I have a dim memory of that. Hope I was able to help No problem except the cancer but that's old news. I'm handling it as naturally as I can, no chemo or radiation. For stage 4 colon to liver chemo doesnt really help that much, something like a 2 percent difference so I decided not to poison myself. Instead I'm going full bore into the alternatives such as fasting and low carb. It's a nice bonus, losing 77 pounds like this, and I feel better than I've felt in 20 years. I had anal bleeding for a year (the toilet water often looked like power steering fluid due to the blood) but it's rare to get any blood at all nowadays. Cancer has the highest priority but I plan to make a few trips while I'm being treated (just in case things dont turn aout as I hope). It would be a pain to put a nice camper together and never get to use it. www.bitchute.com/channel/JyKUCH0aNmdn/ Check out my truck camper at the beginning of my most recent video. I've finally got it ready. I'd love to make a run for Arizona. I got the money and the time (now that I'm retired) but Murphy's law is real.
Yes you helped a ton! No worries with the truck disappearing...lol. Still running the same 12 valve with 172K on the odometer runs like a champ. I'm glad to hear you decided to take the direction you did with the cancer treatment. I hope you recover to better health and beat the odds. Sounds like it's working for you. Your an inspiration to all of us never forget that. Get your camper together and make a trip to AZ! Do it no regrets!
I'm just now watching your bit chute videos and catching up. Sorry to hear on the set back man stay positive. That's a nice Lance. I like the no slide outs. Your red truck is valuable. People are buying and storing the older diesels as they are holding and appreciating in value but like you say.... "how trucks do I need?" One.
@@WestCoastRoller Thanks Brother. I appreciate the well wishes. The cancer industry is horribly corrupt and I'm overjoyed by how the public is starting to lose their trust for them. Now all we need are some good alternatives that have been proven to work, and we have them. These methods have worked for many people in the past. I want to document the whole thing. And if I do something wrong and die, maybe I can point the rest of our brothers in the right direction. The cancer industry is evil and it needs to be cleaned out. One thing that can help is to cut off the money until they stop outlawing treatments that work.
Thank you for the video n reminder. Every vehicle that I've owned has a kill switch of some kind aside from my alarm...n we should learn how to use our alarm on top of that too. I do carry a knife n firearm with me but I'm not sure of the changes in laws. I am also believe people need some sort of basic self defense. I studied the martial arts for many years so always be alert of your surroundings. I keep a lantern burning always but there's many ways to keep secure...like you said, HAVE A PLAN... Thanks n be safe...
ill have cameras running my whole trip, one on the front of the camper overlooking the entire front of the truck and in front of it, and in the back overlooking the back. its an Arlo Pro system that ill be running off a mobile hotspot, so if someone moves around outside my camper, an alarm will go off, a single sent to the nearest police dept, and my crossbow/taser/bearspray will scare them off. :)thanks for all the tips, getting the entire rig taken is a very scary prospect but with the right defense, nobody is taking my stuff.
Cameras are a great tool to use which I forgot to mention...especially if they record the activity going on....I'll check out the Arlo...I'm with you .."nobody is taking my stuff"....unless I'm alone and outnumbered by a drug cartel...lol...probably game over at that point. Thanks for sharing
yeah its expensive, but worth it. weatherproof down to 10 degrees(so they say), night vision, and motion sensors with automatic recording. you need a hotspot for internet because its internet based, because it uploads automatically to cloud storage so nobody can delete it on you, or steal a physical hdd with proof on it. totally worth it, Imo. taking my time to start, ill have 1000w solar(6x 160w panels) and proper security. since this video, have there been any new events?
No.... last winter traveling I didn't experience any strange odd security events out of the ordinary. Got the dreaded knock on the door from police to leave a Walmart parking lot one night....officer was super cool and told me of another location I could park for the night. If I'm ever in a sketchy area I always enable my anti theft method on the truck.
aw thats such a shame, Walmart is supposed to be universally a place you can pull into for a night. I read there are a handful that you can't do it, and its not because of Walmart rules but the towns rules, usually because something happened there that caused the town to take precautions. have they ever accused you of being a criminal? or is it just "hey, sorry but you have to go" type of thing
"more sorry you have to go"........I've stayed at a Walmart before with signs posted outside (city ordinance no overnight parking) and the manager inside store did not care one way or the other..so it really depends on store and management team....the city police were not enforcing the rule...worked out great!
A knife for taking out a cougar? They are ambush predators and will bite through your skull or neck from behind before you can likely react. When I am in cougar country, I walk with a 7 foot tall spear, (walking stick tipped with a sharp blade) angled behind my head.
People watch too many movies. A high powered rifle will go through any camper like a cardboard box. If someone sits off a hundred yards and starts sending rounds into you camper, you are screwed. A real firefight is not a fun feeling. Ask anyone who has been in one. My number one nightmare still to this day are from firefights and being pinned down and can not move one way or the other when I was in Vietnam. Bullets do not ricochet off of windows and vehicles like the movies portray. They travel through them, killing anything in their way.
Outdoor motion detector and/or proximity alarm. Amazon.com, Midway, outdoor supplies/hunting, etc. Portable. Runs on 9v battery. Also motion detector lights to outside of rig with inside activation switch. Perimeter alert lst. Also works when you are not there at your rig. Then .12 ga./Glock inside perimeter. But, above all, best deterrent is absence. Insert key, start motor, drive away.
Interesting, I had a similar encounter near there. Granted, there are lots of boondockers on NFS land near the park, but there are also lots of roads to get separation. I found just such a road with no visible neighbors. After dark, a truck camper comes and parks 30ft from me. Lots of rustling around outside, and my preconceptions about TC campers (lol), I was a bit concerned. Turns out he was just leveling up with his jacks, but it took him long enough. And, why did he have to park so close? A very unaware camper, IMHO. After that night I moved out near Grand View. There were no big RVs. Instead, it's mostly tenters and B-vans, and a few small Cs and trailers, and spread out. I stayed at two different sites in that area, while touring the park. Only downside is you're far away from services and help, so I agree, one should have a Defensive Strategy when staying on public lands.
It is odd and strange how people will park and orient themselves near other campers! I'm always unclear why people park so close! I'll have to look into that area next time. Take care
West Coast Roller probably for safety reasons. I'm a woman boondocking in a truck camper. I want another camper in eye sight. Although 30ft is a bit close and would concern me too. I just want a neighbor who can hear me and I them. But I ALWAYS find my spot BEFORE dark, and analyze my neighbor, then introduce myself LONG b4 night fall. I can tell who wants to be alone by how they welcome me or not. I camp by husband and wife teams or families, never solo men groups. (Yes I'm profiling all men but my safety comes b4 all politcal correctness. I dont give a shit about someone's feelings when im traveling alone.)
I think bringing a trained cougar and a trained bear would just about cover every possibility. Feeding them is another problem. I guess if you looked for trouble, bad people (soylent green) could be located for feeding them...
One thing I have wondered about. When a person is staying at a location for a month or so and removes the camper from the truck. How can the owner secure the camper, so no one can steal it when he is away from the camper for several hours.
Remove one of the wheels! Or drive a motorhome with tow vehicle or slide-in truck camper instead. Or chain the trailer to a tree with a lock. Or install lojack.
if we're protection, when being attacked by a cougar, I don't think a knife or a gun are very good options, in my experience, the best form of protection when it comes to cougars is a condom..just a little psa.
escape and defence is just as important as keeping warm and storage.. great clip.. would be nice to see more done, esp fro. a woman alone point of View. Also the deactivation was great info!!!

When ever someone invades my space, I always appear with a rifle in my hands... Not pointed at anyone, just kind of "carrying it.
It's pretty difficult to do.The jacks require a special wrench to turn them manually. Leaving the camper unattended on public land is something I have yet to do. Probably will never do that but it could be done. Thanks foe watching!
Yes every time I entered CA traveling from Yuma with groceries! What do they do with all of that fruit????? Geeze you could feed an entire third world country with all the food they collect!
All good points, but I have to admit I probably would have moved. It bothers me that there are so many restrictions on guns, even when travelling across the country... where you are often many miles from assistance. Back in 1999 I was going to camp out in the CA desert with my girlfriend at the time. Turns out the land was now part of the state parks system and they banned all firearms. I've never shot anyone... I don't plan on shooting anyone... but we have a legitimate need and a right to defend ourselves, especially when we're out all by ourselves.
I totally agree with you.......we each have the right to freely defend ourselves.....and a firearm gives us at least the chance to do so in the given warranted situation. Thanks for your comment. Peace
i put a bowl of water out for a dog i don't have and have a i love german shep sticker on my door side window. under mount to chassis a front and rear weather proof skylink ir and heat motion detector(9v battery lasts a year ) to a receiver (12 v hardwired )that can either beep when triggered or alarm, and mounted the receiver next to main door so its audible from out doors, people always comment they can hear it , duhh exactly and for $26 bucks , you cant beat it. I tried to install a three minute relay that will kill the truck if not reset by the light switch turned off and then back on when started. and running.. BE WARNED ANY E or F SERIES FORD AFTER 2011 , IT HAS A PATS SYSTEM THAT I TRIGGERED when trying to instal the ground kill,AND THE COMPUTER LOCKS DOWN THE VEHICLE as it thinks its being hot wired AND MUST BE TOWED TO THE DEALER TO RESET....OUCH!!! installed a strobing 1/2 inch blue LED between the wipers and one i drilled into the side door outside porch light that flash a bright blue 24/7 off the 12 v system, Flick stick in driver door ,front entrance floor, bed , one in outside compartment, One on the motorbike ,,,, have concealed permit and never leave with out Mr.Mauser. Installed tiny hd cameras in the bottoms of each side mirror and hd night cams one in grill and one in back that motion alarm a dvr. Best alarm when i leave is a free app you download called alfred, wich turns your old cellular phone into a dual motion detected, sound detected alarm system that will text you if it sees or hears anything, and then you can talk to the robber via the app and tell them the cops are on the way , great for when i had a family emergency and had to leave the RV in Cali and fly to Florida, i could look in any time and see my rv.. i left the cell phone inside a glass cup on the counter of rv and you would never know it was there , the app even has night vision , u can remotely change from front to rear cam and if equipped , turn on the flash, love it !AND ITS FREE OF CHARGE !! I have hidden my own cellular network i rigged from another old phone that is on 24/7 and with solar , i never worry. as i can kill the engine remotely via another phone app and a raspberry pi device i made via u tube , and my dvr and alfred are also tied into it . MOBILE DVR $220. HD CAMS $80 . i grandfathered into a boost unlimited datat plan for $30 a month that is no longer available , LEDS $2 at Frys, Ras Pi and parts and program, $60 at Radio Shack, Dog bowl, $2 at half price tuesday at salvation army LOL
All I can say is wow.......great post.......I think your covered and insured against the bad guys! So what's your plan for a nuclear attack? Just kidding!......you probably already thought about that!.....Great tips and suggestions you get the idea...it's unlimited what you can come up with to fool the bad guys.......any suggestions for a data plan today? Unlimited? Thoughts? Thanks buddy
Ya know we gotta watch out for each other my LBFAM!!!! Like i said, i grandfathered into a Boost Unlimited data plan that is no longer offered and if i ever mis a $30 payment , its gone forever. I have a jailbroken phone with a tether hider app on it as my hot spot (im not proud of it but its a must have for full timers on a budget and i don't abuse the data) its hidden with a booster antenna in a dead space i found behind my microwave... Nuclear war?? don't want to live through that one since i have already been over-nuked with the cancer treatments LOL,but i do have a old 9 Inch tablet with a survival guide, first aide, my personal bank and other vital info,, med , passport , insurance, copies ,some books and manuals on it , obd ford program for my bluetooth obd transmitter under the dash, and some music, just in case ,and i made a faraday cage that i keep it in , in a small space behind my sink, where i store it , in case of an EMP....that way i will at least have somthing to refer too (i took the battery out and its in its own protective copper container cuz im paranoid LOL) to help me survive the zombies and other globe earth weirdos post the EPG , LOL just kidding (sorta) LOL, If i can help out with any other questions , let me know, as your the king of these great videos that i have the luxury to watch(with great appreciation, thank you ( remember my paypal account Son lol ) and don't make any of my own cuz ya know i suck at them,
and a side , side note, i was jumped by three dudes while gassing up late one night in a High Class zip code, i know better than to face the pump at night but i did , that was a painful lesson .
It's a shame us brits can only easily get our hands on a decent flashlight, a taser, pepper spray and a knife (a knife that has a blade less than 3 inches long). Guns are an interesting topic. In the U.K. They are legal but hard we can't easily get our hands on them, and most people don't even know we can legally own a gun. I'm sure that's enough for most people but in situations we're people may not be abiding by the law, a taser and a flash light isn't all that intimidating. We also can't have butterfly knifes, among other types of knifes of Which I can't remember the names of. I guess this means it's not as easy to get ahold of thease types of wepons (guns etc.) and therefore less likely to find yourself in situations like you mentioned. Not with the other guy having a gun or something like that at least.
Always trust your gut....it was not a good situation, and knowing you were aware of them did help. However, next time, you might want to bug out...as some have guns and you never know what is going on if they do not reply and act so suspicious--glad you are ok....!.You must know ops defence, as that tiny knife would not help with a cougar or a bear. Especially one that has stocked you, and a bear that gets mad...just wishful thinking from those who have tried it. Unless you can get a drop on them with a good rifle, good luck! As rangers will tell you, wilderness is high stakes at best of times. Those of us who do not have such training must rely upon other methods to be safe. Bear spray you rarely can use fast enough, a tiny knife...well...nope! Keep all food to a minimum in camper and at site. But you already know that...seems like every year, campers just don't pay attention to the surroundings and think bears are buddies...and cats are just big cats....yikes!!!!! Wolves...hmmmm....don't play around with the wild life..and that means humans as well. Too many think they can just run you over. Women have a special problems when travelling. Always look as though you are in communication with someone else. NEVER look like you are alone!! JUST BE aware....wolves come in all shapes and sizes.....I hope those guys were not looking for a place to bury something....many people disappear every year and get dumped in backwoods where they think no one will be watching. The stats are very sad. :( some of us don't get to carry a gun when travelling (those from another country for eg)....sooooooo, that means extra care!!!
Agree with always trusting your gut! It's right most of the time for me. Yes having firearms prepares you to defend your life in the worst case scenario...at least gives you a chance at it. Being educated in survival is the best investment next to having the proper tools! Thanks for sharing and commenting
3:10 Those people were probably looking for a spot to dump a body or body parts at night. Maybe they were thinking of dumping the body or body parts next to your camper and speed off. :O
I had no plm while I'm traveling from kitty hawk NC to Bakersfield California. I do carry stun gun, jackknife, matchele, plus .45 ACP pistol and crossbow. I do camp in forest. I do have ccw license. I don't tell police that I carry gun bec I don't want end up like recent event in MN. It is none of police business. Soon going to Pismo Beach to camp.
Thanks for sharing! Those are all helpful tools to have at your disposal. What they don't know will not hurt them but protect you. Take care safe travels friend
Those folks where just running around finding the best campsite and scrounging for firewood. Maybe a bit rude to you being too close etc. Most Everyone out boondocking is armed.....you'd have to be a serious fool to enter anyones campsite at night. Some folks (city?) just dont respect a decent radius from others.
ALL THE SUGGESTIONS FROM THE VIDEO, AND THE PEOPLE IN THE COMMENTS ARE ABOUT SECURITY IF YOU ARE AROUND YOUR RIG, BUT USUALLY, IT IS MY EXPERIENCE THAT THE THIEVES WAIT TILL YOU LEAVE AND THEN THEY TAKE WHATEVER THEY WANT.....
I have all the security I need, a ccp and a 9mm pistol, when you are out in the wild you are the only thing that is going to save your ass, tweekers, degenerates, growers, thieves stripping cars etc.......the stuff I've seen while enduro riding 60 miles in bfe out in the middle of no where is alarming.
Nobody ever answers my question is it possible for a small person to exit the camper from (little window at steps to bed in camper) to enter thru back little window of truck and then drive away....
One thing to keep in mind is never draw on a drawn gun. Comply and hope you get the chance to launch a counter ambush. If you can't, your insurance will pay for what's stolen. Even a poorly trained thug can shoot you before you can draw your weapon. Your camper is not worth losing your life over.
You're welcome. I was in law enforcement for 27 years and see an unfortunate trend in RV'ers overestimating their combat skills. The flip side of a carjacking is if the thug gets in the vehicle and wants you to drive off somewhere. Don't ever let that happen. There's a good chance he wants you to go to some isolated area where he can rob you, kill you, and dump you body. He'll have a head start getting out of the area with no one to report the theft. That cool 40 cal on your hip isn't going to help you in this kind of situation. You're never going to be able to draw it from a seated position if the thief has a gun on you. I recommend an ankle holster with a North American Arms 5 shot .22 Magnum revolver/derringer. In this case, feign a heart attack and slump over the wheel. Moan a lot and make it sound like you're not breathing right. If the thief sees you're incapacitated, there's a chance he may just run off. If not, he'll have to try moving you away from the driver's seat. While he's occupied doing that, you have the chance to draw from your ankle holster and fire. The .22 Magnum is not an ideal defense round but it will do the job when you're only a couple feet away from the target. For women, armed or not, faint. Make a bunch of fluttering noises, sink to the ground, and don't move. There's a very good chance the thief will take off. Whatever you do, don't let a thief take you away from the scene of a carjacking. Fight, scratch, gouge, kick, just fight as hard and dirty as you can. If you don't, there's a good chance you're not coming back.
Great suggestions that could save your life that I certainly never considered. Running the different scenarios like you say and figuring out how you will react is paramount. Again thank you for your comment and service.
Thanks. I don't want to get everyone all paranoid over this. I was a fulltimer for five years when I retired and never had a single crime problem. I had to spend lots of time building scenarios and coming up with counterplans because I had a star on my chest. That made me an automatic target. Just being civilians out RVing reduces your chance of encountering things like a carjacker by about 100 times. Most carjackers are looking for a vehicle to use in a holdup or sell to a chop shop. An RV doesn't really fit the bill. Just use some of your down time to think about some of these scenarios and mentally run through a counterplan. In the unlikely event you're a victim of a violent crime, it could save your life.
Sar Jim thank u lol I’m a single black female in ca so using a gun will get me in jail lol ( which I didn’t know gun are useless in ca I see why ppl make fun of us now lol) all I have is alarm system a cat ( if he runs that mean u better run too lol) An cast iron skillet I do have knife but being black I’ll be scare to use it cause cops might think I’m the criminal an shoot me lol or maybe to much tv but not taking the chance . But I’m lucky I work night shifts an stay in state beach in day turn so hopefully I won’t have issues :)
Good work Larry! You handled it well and the perpetrator paid the ultimate price!
Hell yeah.
But was he black?
Up here in Canada they probably would have thrown you in jail and slapped the kids wrists!
Be prepared to call the cops and never go unarmed.
cameras are a smart tool to have!
Thanks for your comment
nice job!!!
Back Country Nomad awesome buddy
About 2% to 4% of the population are psychopaths. So, in a place with 100 people, about 2 or 4 of them would be psychos. :O
As a female van dweller, I thank you for your chivalry!
I have a German Shepherd, he keeps things very secure.
Yes bear spray is a MUST HAVE!!! It's the only thing to use to defend yourself in that situation! Thanks for your comment.
Peter Stanhope is there any info on results of people (the ones seeking in the night to your camp) being sprayed?
You hit the nail on the head when you said projecting an image that it won't be easy to do a take over. So the best way I know of is to rack a shell into a pump action 12 gauge. That sound usually scares the hell out of anyone that has half a brain in their head. It also means you probably will avoid a fire fight or any other confrontation which is the absolute best outcome. Also throwing down a few pieces of bubble wrap attached to boards for weight alerts you to people near your vehicle. It can be handy for those times where there is no light and you can't see. It also alerts the intruder that he has been discovered and that his target is ready for him.
carry a can of wasp spray, aim at eyes, works as good as pepper spray if you do not carry a weapon. plus its good to have if you needit for wasps.
hahaha, but a very good idea, I use the sprays here in France when I work on roof's, there are lot's of wasps and Asian hornets, they spray up to 5 meters and will stop anything, very very effective.
I rather have the wasp spray then the bear spray any day . Wasp spray can be ignited when sprayed
Great suggestion, plus it is NOT considered a defensive weapon making it perfectly legal to carry under the seat.
Don't use wasp spray in a confined location. It will affect you as well as the intended victim. But, I bring a can with me camping.
@@tracyjamestavares3255 hell yes burn em up i will
I usually carry a 14'' barrel Remington 870 when in the bush or a Keltec sub 2000 when urban camping . Here in Canada the biggest worry is a Grizzly tearing into your camper at night . they can get through those thin walls in a heartbeat .
Thumbs up. I've never encountered a Grizzly but I imagine humans and there toys are no match for one. Thanks for your comment
Thumbs up........agree you must have protection for the worst case scenario and execute the plan. Thanks for your comment
Dogs work good and then the sidearm i have a bumper sticker that says " Vehicle protected by a .357 magnum 6 days a week, it's up to you to figure out which one day it has off"
Great sticker thumbs up! Send the message out!
Del-Rio Drifter that looks cool but you've given away your element of surprise. Some bad guys might see the sticker and move on while others don't give a damn and do whatever it takes to get the jump on you and take you out first. Just something to ponder on.
@@Pencil-b4m nah let em know, how many dudes got nra stickers? .357 mag is also my choice as well as a dog.
Install cameras on the camper w/ night vision for a 360 degree view. Allow you to check out the situation from the safety of your rig at a distance. Also 360 degrees of LED flood lights to illuminate the area.
Get back to reality man. We don’t even have a shower.
" hahaha
Good call and great job in sending the message out loud and clear!
JoJo/Clem Kadilihopper that's pretty good advices right here thank you 👌👍
JoJo/Clem Kadilihopper ,I doubt seriously you've had any real experience to know what will happen.
Land mines and a tommy gun.
I'd rather be armed
A lot of truck campers have smallish windows below the bed, pair that up with a slider on the pickup and just climb through. The truck window would have to be left unlatched. Being able to drive away was a concern of mine.
yea I'm not able to do that in mine.....those windows are pretty small to fit a body in!
That's a very real story that I appreciate. Not always easy for guys to admit they have any concerns, much less fears. It's actually great to that you and everyone else who responded, seem to have few real issues out there on the open or closed roads. I think my biggest fear would be someone taking my stuff when I'm away from it. I know you can't keep an eye on your possessions 24-7.
having a back up plan is important! :)
Shavauna Ronan I love German Shepherds!....they are great defense animals...all the best to you! :)
-- I have installed them on several trucks and they always work.
thanks for sharing a cut off switch will slow them down for sure!..........be prepared
Thank you! this is a topic that is sorely needed today!
Big Dogs always alert you!!! Take care thanks for your comment
Great Video....People need to think more about safety in all aspects....Always remember IT CAN HAPPEN TO YOU.....Thanks, Dave in SC
It sure can!!!!!! Thanks take care safe travels Dave
So true
Thanks for sharing. It is a very important subject, especially for single boon-dockers.
That's why you have a decent ($300-$400) 4 channel dvr/tv monitor setup with night vision. You get 360 degree coverage, you see them and unless they have night vision, they can't see you.
Agree....that's the best setup to have. You can see them they can't see you.
Great topic! I use a dog, 9mm on my hip, 12ga. in the camper for bigger issues.
Thumbs up
I have motion detector lights along with bluetooth speakers placed about 25 feet from the rig that make sounds such as a 12 gauge pump being chambered to a mountain lion growling.
Just stay in a campground, pay the fee, or stick your gun out of the escape hatch and fire a couple of rounds, you can wear you handgun in a holster at you campsite, it's considered your home
lol.....all of the above...do whatever works for you! ✌️
Great tips and suggestions thanks for sharing! A Utah permit concealed carry is recognized in many states but not all.
Great idea! Excellent lighting is essential at night! Thanks for your comment
I just attached 4 motion activated solar powered flood lights on my TC. Really light up the area and the target.
Handgun, shotgun, tazer, knives, bear spray, perimeter lights.
Thumbs up!
I carry a machete and baton-like bat with me.
We always carry when boondocking....don't care where we are...

A pair of night vision goggles or scope would aid in night operations.
agree! :)
Thank you. Appreciate your sharing experience. , safe travels.
Your welcome. Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment.
a couple of police or marine stickers on the outside or windows and the dog bowl and rottweiler stickers might be worthwhile also,,,,two concealed, one medium size, one in your boot holster for reserve would be nice also. Short shotgun or carbine would be good too..hidden fuel shutoff would be good also
You should add a cheap night vision monocular to your stash!
Agree smart equipment to have! :)
This would be my biggest fear. And it is not an unreasonable consideration. I have a German Shepherd and Aunt Bersa.
Dogs will alert you when something if off........good protection!!!!
I appreciate that you covered this topic
I was just about to ask you to do a video on this and if you locked the steering wheel as you slept.
I was surprised that you stayed and slept through the scenario you described
Thank you for sharing your experience and gained wisdom
I have a method of making the truck so it will not start. So it eliminates the issue of someone breaking in and trying to steal the truck. Thanks for your comment
I'm looking at getting a pop-up type truck camper instead of the hard top type, although I feel like I would be safer with a fabric-free enclosed unit. I think the best defence is a good quality loud air horn alongside a method for disabling ignition, like you said.
Pop ups are great except in high wind and heavy rain conditions......
Man I'd be to scared big foots are known to be around that area
In a rental car in California I park the car aside a road in a forest area and go to sleep in the backseat in the middle of the night a police wake me up and tell me; You can not sleep here
this is high criminal area you have to find a motel and this happend to me two times when I was crusing around in California for two months.
It's not so much an attack by force but crazy mentally ill unstable people.....
Guns are not illegal in Canada , my SKS stays in my camper for God knows what comes out from the dark trying to harm me or my dog
Cool 😎 👌 👍... Helpful. Thanks 👍
You may have to put a red dot on a someone's head and send what comes after the dot. If it comes down to them or me I would not hesitate. Stay safe.
Agree. Protect yourself and keep the peace.
Nomadic Traveler yup.
Hello hello, Colorado Camperman mentioned your channel, so I came to check it out. Nice video. I don't have a camper or RV (but maybe one day 👍) but I often wonder about security.
Thanks for stopping by! Keep going toward your goals don't give up!!
Yes I forgot to mention bear spray......very important to have! Thanks for your comment Greg
Yeah, I built an ignition disable on my old truck. I need to do the same thing with my newer truck.
What's up Vention. This is Dalton you helped me with my Dodge cummins back in 2011. Congrats on your newer camper hope your doing well. No issues at all with the fix!
@@WestCoastRoller
I have a dim memory of that. Hope I was able to help
No problem except the cancer but that's old news.

Check out my truck camper at the beginning of my most recent video.

Thanks Brother.
I opt for carrying the "so forth" that you mentioned, caliber 9mm
Thumbs up
Stay Safe, sir.. remember to Always trust your gut instincts
Yes definitely ...thanks for your comment
What about a sniper you don`t know is watching you from afar and takes you out. whats your plan for that.
Paul Wicklund what???? lol
A thief with nothing to lose.
I think I might have relocated. Good ideas otherwise.
Good for you....take care out there.
ill have cameras running my whole trip, one on the front of the camper overlooking the entire front of the truck and in front of it, and in the back overlooking the back. its an Arlo Pro system that ill be running off a mobile hotspot, so if someone moves around outside my camper, an alarm will go off, a single sent to the nearest police dept, and my crossbow/taser/bearspray will scare them off.
I bet you could do a great Owen Wilson imitation
People watch too many movies. A high powered rifle will go through any camper like a cardboard box. If someone sits off a hundred yards and starts sending rounds into you camper, you are screwed. A real firefight is not a fun feeling. Ask anyone who has been in one. My number one nightmare still to this day are from firefights and being pinned down and can not move one way or the other when I was in Vietnam. Bullets do not ricochet off of windows and vehicles like the movies portray. They travel through them, killing anything in their way.
I agree. Anyone can imagine any type of scenarios too.
Great tips and ideas! :)
I don't know about bringing a knife to a bear fight, lol, but you gotta use what you have.
LOL! Bring a larger knife and some spray to a bear fight!!
I think bringing a trained cougar and a trained bear would just about cover every possibility. Feeding them is another problem. I guess if you looked for trouble, bad people (soylent green) could be located for feeding them...
LMAO! If you can figure out the logistics I think it's the perfect defense!!!
soylent green is PEOPLE!
lmao!
i would have been terrified...especially after no response.
It definitely got my attention!
LMAO!!! Condoms are another form of must have protection!
escape and defence is just as important as keeping warm and storage.. great clip.. would be nice to see more done, esp fro. a woman alone point of View. Also the deactivation was great info!!!
When ever someone invades my space, I always appear with a rifle in my hands... Not pointed at anyone, just kind of "carrying it.
maybe invest in some nightvission and a pass through to get into cab from camper
Any idea why 1/3rd of the people disliked this video?
The people either disagree with my stance or believe we live in a perfect world where everything always goes as planned with guarantees!...LOL
What do you do to ensure that your camper is not stolen if you dismount the camper from the truck? Thanks! Love your videos!
It's pretty difficult to do.The jacks require a special wrench to turn them manually. Leaving the camper unattended on public land is something I have yet to do. Probably will never do that but it could be done. Thanks foe watching!
Open carry in NV UT and AZ. Visual deterent.
Thank goodness for that!
West Coast Roller
Stay out of Cali, draconian gun laws, designed to disarm law abiding citizens, and enable criminals.
Totally agree! The criminals have the upper hand in CA!
Have you had the California "fruit Nazis" at the border try to steal your fresh veggies or trash your house plants yet?West Coast Roller
Yes every time I entered CA traveling from Yuma with groceries! What do they do with all of that fruit????? Geeze you could feed an entire third world country with all the food they collect!
Thank you for the info...
Your welcome thanks for watching
A persons got to be careful.
Thanks for sharing and commenting
a shotgun pointed at their head
as thier sitting in your truck from the back seems pretty intimidating
yes it does...
My bull terrier is badd ass and always watching and guarding his area and he will bite the fuck out of someone hes nasty 😤
3:10 Those people were probably looking for a spot to dump a body or body parts at night. Maybe they were thinking of dumping the body or body parts next to your camper and speed off. :O
no way i would have stayed
... there were other people in kaibab just outside of the south rim entrance? No way 😂😂😂
I had no plm while I'm traveling from kitty hawk NC to Bakersfield California.
It's hard to judge peoples intentions all the time.....I always side on the positive..... however bad things can happen.
I'm not leaving my rig behind! It stays with me. Thieves are always working. Thanks for your comment
Listening to you get to the heart of your story was excrutiating. Love the info you provide on your channel, but .......
Thanks for watching Corwyn..... can't please everyone all the time.
.45 cal Colt 1911 on my hip!
I agree friend....you have to plan for the worst case scenario and not bullshit yourself!
Large hail stones are very dangerous.
Nobody ever answers my question is it possible for a small person to exit the camper from (little window at steps to bed in camper) to enter thru back little window of truck and then drive away....
if your small enough to pass through...mostly small children.....adults are too large.
Thank you so much for response
I like it!
I agree and insurance is a good weapon if warranted for sure. Thanks for your comment!
