Good effort boys getting a video from the IAA 2023 so quickly Though I was unmoved by almost everything you showed (even the MG Cyberstar is looking ummm just too fussy to me now) but, the BYD Seal......................interesting............very interesting
The way European heavyweights (not even talking about the Japanese ones....) have allowed China to take this huge lead in EVs is mind blowing. There have been affordable 1000+ km range EVs in China for years, while our big names can't even show a prototype with such a battery. This is pathetic and highly alarming, imho.
It‘s quite hilarious a lot of these modern (Chinese) EVs are so generic and interchangeable that suddenly something as generic as VW‘s design appears to be unique (looking at you, ID.2).
MG4 XPower all the reports I’ve seen in the uk say it’s amazing value for money, the chassis is good and playful, only one problem is the breaking system but hopefully that will be amended soon
Reports generally indicate that it’s very quick and great value but that the RWD is considerably more satisfying to drive. And that it’s underbraked. We will see.
Tbh I think they offer a bit too many wagons given their volumes (Octavia superb combi/scout, Passat/golf variant, passat AT, Arteon SB, A4/S4 AV, A4/A6 AR, RS4/6, taycan CT, panamera ST), I love them, but sadly people stop buying wagons anymore
Couple other things; 1.) Good to see the promised physical steering wheel buttons returning on the upcoming VW models 2.) I'm looking forward to the new Skoda Superb 3.) I actually quite like the MG Cyberster except it's stupid scissor doors, stupid rims, and stupid name. 4.) I don't understand the Tesla fanboys, and excitement over a facelifted Model 3. Tesla's make a bit of sense currently as far as EVs go, because they've still got a decent monopoly on market share, charging infrastructure, and reasonable affordability for the entry level models. But they're hopelessly boring vehicles. The automotive equivalent of the colour beige. Or mayonnaise. And removing an indicator stalk is just a stupid idea
Damn we’re getting stooged on wagons but if Aussie bumpkins aren’t buying them and we stoped making anything here anymore, I can understand why they are not sending them over
The BMW Neue Klasse... i like the general silhouette and general shape of the "kidney grille", but the car looks _waaaay_ too plasticky. And unless that "grille" is going to be an actual grille, just making it some post-modern led light "signature" looks cheap and nasty. I hope there's significant changes made to anything going into production
No, that’s not right. Most are EV, yes. Petrol only: VW Tiguan, VW Touareg hybrid, VW Passat, Skoda Superb, Mercedes E-Class Petrol optional: Mini Cooper, Mini Countryman, next BMW 3 Series
This makes me sad that the Australian International Motor Show doesn't happen in Sydney anymore
Same… but there’s a very small number left and only in much larger cities / countries where there industry is based
The EV Show in Melbourne Vic. Sept. 22, 23 and 24 at the Convention Center. (Jeff's shed) $32 per ticket I believe.
We don't make any cars anymore. We're pathetic. What's the point
I'm in Sydney, is it worth flying there just for the show?@@tpv59

Thanks, put a bit of effort in.

I do see your point, yes.
Some interesting cars there but what ever happened to the Sydney motor show ??

It's not even as nice to drive as the base MG rwd
@@mharro88 i thought it was actually better to drive especially with the setting/programs adjusted
@@willsmyth639 no it's AWD with a lot of straight line speed but it's heavier and washes out in the corners.
@@mharro88 that’s not my experience when driving the car but it’s like all cars if you push it to far all will do the same
Wow, nice video, what kind of equipment are you using?
Nice punchy overview! Appreciate it.
My pleasure!
Would love to own that last car, the ID. GTI concept but in a petrol version, it looks a stunning design
That a6 etron 🔥
Shape and sweet ( not short) Great preso!
Wondering where the Kodiaq is or when is it being unveiled?
It was also running around in camouflaged form on the street but I had more access to the Superb
Thanks
So much to unpack!
Devo that VW aren’t doing wagons (especially R ones) in Aus anymore 😢

The MG and BYD prices are much cheaper in China
是的,便宜了2倍
Everything is cheaper in China? Majority of the country is starving to death.
U r genious! 😅

Insufficient demand for a Wagon. What's wrong with Mercedes-Benz?
Pretty please Tesla, build a version of the Volks ID2. Make it your Model 2.
Love the style, size and packaging but will never purchase from the VAG.
No Lucid in your presentation ?
BMW made everyone look last gen, even the unreleased concepts.
you know what. The range pick up truck using the 2.3 petrol engine only sell less than 60k Australia dollars in China. Wow,, ,, why ,,
Not German but Toyota has just unveiled a new luxury SUV with the Century badge.
True!
MG has gauche doors, how very maladroit of them. Well done overview, thanks

更快的加速性能,更丝滑的驾驶体验,更安静,更高的车身强度,更智能化,语音操作代替手动操作……不好吗?唯一缺定点可能是必须化10分钟充电,比加油慢一些。
Sorry but the IAA is dead since they gone to Munich . 200 Euro per day ticket .
What? IAA Munich is free for members of the public.
German car are out of style! Still in 1900
