I used acrylic paint on my baubles but I paint them first then did the drips, was so much easier 😊
Love these they look really effective. The way to get the paint to stick is firstly don’t spray paint them. First wash them lightly in soapy water to get rid of any grease. Lightly sand them gently then you can add the glue drips and then paint them. You’ll find the paint sticks better and smoother because you’ve “keyed” them by sanding them.

If you coat the inside of the silicone mold with powdered cornstarch with a dry paint brush, they pop out soooooooo much easier

These are very elegant and beautiful. I tried to find flocking powder years ago, even on Ali, and I couldn't find any! At least not in larger amounts. And most had tinsel glitter mixed in. Maybe they have some now. Seems like I have ideas before they become popular.

Love them all....just was thinking about the issues u had with the glue dripping ones..I was thinking use Vaseline to cover the top of xmas ball then put the glue drippings...let dry then carefully remove the drippings as a whole...paint ball then carefully put the drippings back on ..glue in place after u have spray painted in colour of choice...just a thought haven’t tried

Hallo there, I just want to suggest you use hot glue in the moulds instead of air drying clay. It is much lighter and can easily be wrapped around the top of the baubles.
Yes, hot glue remains flexible and is lighter than air dry clay. You can also fill your moulds with caulking. The caulking must have some silicon in it or it might stick in your mould and ruin it. There are videos on RUclips showing how to use caulking in moulds.

@@redmarilynn hi again, no I did mean use a hit glue gun and fill the molds with the glue. it dries very fast and is flexible, it can be painted and as long as the mold is silicone it should come out of the mould with ease.

Hi, this is chalk paint, I've mixed it myself from 3 parts acrylic paint, 1 part white clay (kaolin) and 1 part water

Hello! Around minute 6 you say "after the bubble has dried you dry brush the top." What product exactly do you use for that silver/bronze effect? Thank you so much for this video! It's amazing! I really want to try making these snowflake vintage bubbles.
Hi, I used bronze acrylic paint for that (mine is of Italian brand Maimeri, called Polycolor, color is called bronze)

Thanks, Pam) I bought the mold in the local shop in Russia, they sell molds via Instagram (account is called @molds_and_decor). My mold is No 547 (here is the link: instagram.com/p/CG93OlVhMEI/) I'm not 100% sure, but think they send abroad, you can write them and request the costs

Could you have created the drip look on a piece of pastry paper, leaving a circle open to place it over your ball top?Then when it got hard, taken it off and glued it onto a ball that was already painted? 🤔🤔🤔🤔

Yes, I think you could. If it needed to be shaped after, I feel like a heat gun or even a hair dryer would help to make it pliable.
