This quiz was fairly easy, I got 14/15, I often get Tropics of Cancer and Capricorn backwards, as I did here. Each of the members of our trivia team has at least one expertise. Mine are geography and science.

I knew that as I have been there 3 times and have photos of it. Great place with the best street food. As you say, the rest were easy.

Taiwan was the only one I couldn't get. I had to think a bit to get the capital of New Zealand. Everything else was pretty straight forward.
15/15 As a suggestion, give couple of seconds before giving the options, so we can come up with the answer and only use the options when needed. I'm a Geography buff, so it was not hard.

I have to tell you, my guessing was REALLY impressive.
12 out of 15.....Paris-Dakar used to run through Timbuktu, so should have known that. Good quiz.

I got all but Krone, and Timbuktu. I guessed the Taipei 101 but got lucky.

We have a sentence in French that goes ”c’est à Tombouctou ” ( it’s in Timbuktu ” .It means it’s far , far away ....
English too: 'from here to Timbuktu', the furthest place imaginable.
Speaking of Chile, on the west coast of Chile there is a strata showing that at one time, the coast line, in one instance, rose 60+ feet. The then once present beach rose in one single upheaval to the height of a 6 to 7 story building.

The Antarctic Territory is not part of the Commonwealth of Australia, it is, as its name implies, a territory.

Humbly speaking, a piece of cake, a walkover so to speak. . Becoz Geography besides other subjects was my forte during my school years. Thankfully, I still retain most of what I acquired and learnt during those formative years. FYI, I can name the capital cities of almost every country on earth.

I got 14/15. Would have been perfect but I let myself be misled by the choices in #5 (three cities and a country, so I ruled out the country -- even though my first impression was Taipei).
