- Cops get a firsthand look at the insane amounts of money criminals rake in with their illegal ventures, and sometimes the cops decide "Crime does pay". In today's crazy new video we're sharing the true story of the "Snowbird Bandit", the retired cop who turned to robbing banks, but was turned in by his own daughter! Maybe this former cop should have just stayed retired!

"You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain."...
Wow it make so much sense xd
🤔 yeah that makes sense somehow...
harvey dent is a philosophor??
@@jesusissac8911 😧 less than 15 minutes?
nice one harvey you tried that 13 years ago what next? 2031?
Robbing banks while being a former cop is great because you would know how the best bank robbers pulled off their tricks.
Plus you wouldn't be suspected
Nice
You don’t have to be a cop to know how they do it
@Sic Semper Tyrannis He should have learned that Bank Robbery is one of the lowest return for risk crimes you can commit.
@rwsthedemonking How is the daughter the bad guy. So, because it's your father you should allow him to do these crimes?
Bruh he only got away with $9000 dollars in total? And he still couldn’t keep his life together? Smh.
_when there is no crime around so you do the crime_
And that was a LOL from me
2 spider man's meme
Do the crime
And then they blame it on some innocent person.
Literal instance of "You became the very thing you swore to destroy"
Who robs bank 5 times and steal only $9k dollars 💵 I feel like they steal more if they had robbed a supermarket
Yeah, clearly wasn't sane, other places would involve less danger and more profit no defending his acts, just saying that it wasn't well planned for a very seasoned ex-cop.

If he had lived in England, his wife would have been looked after by the National Health Service and there would have been no medical bills.
We will never know if this would have avoided the bank robberies, gambling, drinking, potential suicide, etc. But maybe it could have helped.
I agree, this story is actually quite sad
If he had lived in Canada, him and his wife's poor health would've been taken care of, and would've possibly avoided debt and all that.
*R U L E. B R I T T A N I A*
But yes this is a pretty unfortunate story
Why do people worry about the US instead of minding their business. People like this are eligible for help the biggest issue is people not knowing it.
His addiction started before his wife's cancer diagnosis
A robber walks up to a teller in a bank and says "Give me the money or you're geography"
The teller, confused, says "Don't you mean you're history?"
The robber says "Don't change the subject!"
Everything Science ?
Nice joke
This joke is older than me
🤣🤣🤣
Wow, how do you not have way more subscribers. Great content!
Imagine the family you love and trust, turn on you when you go sour smh...
Sickening tbh wouldn’t be my daughter anymore
As they should when someone goes rogue. Being blood doesn't exempt someone from persecution by their own family members. Its also a sign he raised her right.
@@kingkobra242 What? It literally just shows that he tought her well! It shows that he tought her that doing the right thing is important!
69th like :)))
Agreed. No loyalty at all. Family over all. Death before dishonor.
what surprised me the most is how little bank robbing pays, like 1700 for a bank robbery? that’s borderline theft!!
Depends what u go for
if you want a big take you need a crew. this guy just wanted the money she had up front, hed probably be on death row if he came in with a machine gun and a mask
The most surprising thing is that he, as an officer who spent a not ungoodly part of his career chasing down bank robbers didn't realize that bank robbery is just about the lowest percentage crime you can commit. The risk to reward just never stacks up. A Cop thinkong of a life of crime should have known that.
They should’ve called the Cops
Wait

Exactly
Poor guy. I hope he gets what help he needs and is able to enjoy his last years with his family.
He'll be ok if another prison inmate doesn't shank him.
Im glad to hear that he managed to turn his life around after being a police for that long. 😃👍
You’re not funny
@@Mystic189 Okay, lets hear your joke then? 😃
This supports the quote "You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain".
Lol what does that tell you?
One of the greatest quotes in film history.
Imagine snitching on your own dad, snakes
DUDE WAS ACTUALLY AN OK DUDE BUT MEDICAL BILLS AND GAMBLING MESSED HIM UP
yep
He was a great dude.
Man i love this channel! Seems like any time i see an info graphics channel video i want to watch. I’m never able to just watch that 1 video, and i always end up watching like 5 or 6 other ones too lol.
During the apartheid era in South Africa, a police captain, namely André Stander, also robbed banks part time, sometimes even investigating his own crime scene after the deed. When police started closing in on his trail, he fled to the US, where he was eventually shot by police during an altercation with an officer.
Yeah he was awesome dude.
Type in Mastermind Stander Gang..... amazing series
Even if my father was a drug kingpin I’d never turn him in...
I would
True loyalty
@Unknown User youd be surprised how many of us are actually loyal to the people that gave us life and raised us
Unknown User lots of people wouldn’t what are you trying to imply 😂
If he was a drug kingpin, of course you wouldn't turn him in especially if you grew up in an environment where violence is a norm plus the fact that you also benefit from his profits.
But if raised correctly like the daughter in this video, and your father became a druglord, a criminal, a killer soon after then you would know what to do.
*Ironic*
*He prevented others from robbery but not himself*
The dark side of the force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural
Have you ever heard the tragedy of the snowbird bandit ?
this is a tragedy where the system failed him
Like the saying goes, "You either die as a hero, or live long enough to be the villian."
I'm glad the judge gave him some mercy.
Only 10k? You could make that by working at McDonald’s for half a year lol
Yep. But then you have worked at McDonalds for half a year. That's wasted time lol
@@elainadorsey235 you don't waste as much time as going to *jail*
No. Not always. Come to mississippi and see if you can make 10k in half a year at mcds. 12k is the annual earnings. And only if you work full time, which very few people get.
here the annual mcdonalds salary is about 35k

daughter: *wait a minute*
I pray this never happens to any of us. Just so you know though- this is a sad situation for all involved. Sad
Imagine getting sold out by your own family
How sad that such a wonderful cop should be driven to committing crimes himself. 😢
Law enforcement (both current and former) should receive harsher penalties for committing crimes.
Dude Is Ultimate Example Of You Have Became The Same Thing You Swore To Destroy
So sad, that after all he did for the community, he suffered so much health wise.
🤣 I didn't know LAPD used desert eagles
The daughter’s definitely a Karen.
She isn't
No, she was doing the right thing.
How
@@superluigidummy you don’t rat out family who are u to turn in your own family especially if your no saint
@@sycho2888 seriously, her father needed help and needed to be put in prison, he was a dangerous criminal and she had to do something about that.
It's so sad when you're related to a cop and all he does is rob banks.
It’s not all he did though...
Pretty sure he saved lives, caught serial killers and payed away all his savings for his wife’s medical bills but okay
3:00 I love her hair cut!
Thank you for another episode. 😀😀😀😀😀😀😀
Imagine your own daughter snitching on you..
Welp, he raised his daughter right...
Why is that even important?

He will always have my support
This could be a movie!
It’s like the parallel version of the GTA universe
Fact that medical bills can flip your life upside down real quick. I’m surprised he didn’t get help from gov and needed up losing everything.
Dude lost his house to medical bills
Hope those hospital owners are happy with their hundred thou
His wife clearly hated him from all the alcohol and gambling
If you commit a crime then you're doing the time.
Unless you're the one who works for or owns the bank.
Unless you’re a politician, celebrity, or high ranking government official.
infographics show I have to say I love ur channel ♥️🥰
Oh my goodness I live in Rancho and I had no idea this happened thanks for the knowledge
Life must have been an easy mode for him. So he crossed the other side where it's more challenging.
What surprised me the most is that ONE of the reasons he ended up in debt was because of medical bills the he accrued throughout his career...did/do cops not have insurance?
thats america for you, having to pay to get access to medical treatments
i love your videos infographics🥰

F for the former cop's credibility
This should be a movie. I think it would be a dope movie
*This is one of the biggest Plot Twists ever!*
He fell on hardship, it can happen to the best of us, and it seems he was afraid to ask for help. I’m glad they didn’t come down on him too hard in sentencing.
This is one of the channels that don’t do click bait
Talk about bad luck!
You could do an entire series based on all of the cops who have robbed banks.
lol this happens more often then you think. Forensic files has a great video about one as well
Even the blue wall of silence won't help you now.
I love this story!

I don't believe you
0:54 just casually pulls out a 50 AE desert eagle, could of been a lower cal. But no, a 50
This would be a great movie
There's a few movies in the late 80s, early 90s about cops that become bank robbers/thieves. Don't remember the names but one in particular a cop gets fired for cussing the dispatcher for not responding to his backup requests. He robs a few banks and recruites his wife to rob with him. Good movie byw
To anyone seeing this, have a nice day 😁
Umair Mohammed thank you
Yoo too
Thanks man! You too! 😀
It's sad when you become that which you fight against.
You either die a hero or you live long enough to watch yourself become the villain
"if you don't die as a hero you live long enough to become the villain"
Family sniching that's not new...💀
He is a person just like us

He should be called :The Penny Shares Robber".
Stander is a 2003 biographical film about Captain André Stander, a South African police officer turned bank robber...not related to the video but another cop turned bank robber they made a movie about
this is why you cant buy printers as cop in DarkRP's
Never got heart from Americans
Love u a lot and tons of love from Nepal .🇳🇵🇳🇵🇳🇵🇳🇵
Chill guy just went a bit crazy and wanted some money a little fuqed up but i see where hes coming from do the crime pay the time i respect it
when the video is longer then when it came out:
Supporting yourself and your wife on a fixed income of just his LEO pension of $2,800 had to be hard. Not to mention the things he'd seen from the job. Turning to alcohol just makes sense. I did it in the Navy. At some point, he needed to have made better financial decisions so as to not turn to a life of crime.
Just so much loss for so little reward
This really shows how money and loans can break humans brain and life. The most painful part is that some financial problems were because of medical treatment.
Its sad really, he should have had a comfortable retirement package with all his work, achievements and personal sacrifices for his country.
He’s not the only police officer that broke the law. Derek Cheuvin was another famous one.
