    sir i am cadet and i am waiting to be onboard anytime and one thing our instructor used to say that if I see anyone of you(whole class) using VHF for situations like this I will throw you out of my ship on next port ... also mentioning that is there any mention of VHF in ror and telling us the exact disadvantage you just told

    Whilst I have found a number of your videos to be very useful, I think it would be unfair of me not to mention that the use of VHF for collision avoidance is completely unacceptable and I know from multiple teaching bodies that this would be an instant fail in an oral examination...
