    Another brilliant swing lesson. After 6 months of your videos I am hitting the ball crisp and straight with every club. My putting is garbage due to not being able to read greens. Hitting short grass off tees and greens in regulation has been so much fun. It’s fun hearing “great ball.” I’d just love to eliminate all these 3 putts blowing past the hole or 5 feet short.
    At 63 years old I’m hitting a 7 iron 165, driver 260 carry, and flushing 4 irons. I owe it all to these videos. I don’t even look at other instructor channels. I always recommend this channel to other people.

    This video came out the day before I was playing my next round. Last week I could not hit my irons at all and posted a very disappointing 102 without knowing what on earth I was doing wrong. I took this technique to the range right before I played again to warm up and I couldn't believe the difference in strike quality. That day I shot a 89, and on the same course, I had blown out to 102 previously. Yes, I still hit some bad shots on the day but I have not really used this technique, but looking forward to working on this. I play off a 21 handicap so my game is not great, but this has helped immensely thank you so much.

    Another excellent video! Thanks for putting it together and sharing with us. A couple of suggestions a) the text cations are great to highlight the key points. But I feel it flies away too quickly b) you always have JT hit a ball after explaining a point, this is great. If toward the end of your video you can show a slow motion video, that will help a lot. I assume there is another video to show the rest of downswing? This only shows the “beginning “ of downswing. I would be very interested to see if JT flips hands during impact or just holding. Thanks again for this wonderful video and insights 👍

Eric, you do such an awesome job asking the right clarifying questions we are all thinking and you probably don’t get enough credit for that. Even though I know you know the answer to the question. So thank you!

    Good one Eric. This also matches a video Padrig Harrington has describing the hips. I like the variations of descriptions among coaches helping get to the same result. I'm guilty of left hip up to start WITH right shoulder over the top. It's a painful swing.😂

    GREAT video! I have been practicing this left-side down move - but have been hitting it fat - the very thing it was supposed to fix. At min 11:38 you covered what I was doing with the left hip then going up and the right shoulder going down too much. I really appreciate how you are doing your videos. First showing what to do., but then showing the things golfers might do wrong trying it out. This is what really separates your golf instruction from the rest! Thank you.

    Great video as always! But I struggle with exactly how the left hip is moving lower. Is there a (further) bending of the left knee? Otherwise the hip cannot really move lower..? I know the question is put above as well but I would much appreciate clarification on this issue. Again, thanks!

    • @CogornoGolf
      @CogornoGolf  11 месяцев назад +1

      Yes....increase in leg flex.
      The general idea is the lead side is lower from what you did on the backswing......you want to KEEP it lower for the first part of the downswing
      Of course we are exaggerating some FEELS here

    Great video Eric. I find that as my iron play strengthens, my driver struggles (constant cycle right!). My question is about pelvic tilt and rotation in regards to a driver setup with the lead shoulder elevated and the back shoulder lower. Would you also recommend these drills with the driver? My concern is low point now changes and instead of shaft being ahead of the ball at impact, the hands and shaft need to be much more in alignment. Could you do a similar video specific to driver versus iron play? Thanks!

      Hey! Unfortunately I dont think I can help much here without seeing your swing and seeing what you're doing and why that might be causing issues....if its more swing related or body issue related.
      I would find a good pro or PT to work with in person or online to help guide and give you specifics

    It looks as if the head is also moving forward in making this move, although Tiger Woods example shows his head staying in position. Is it okay to move head slightly forward on downswing?
