Nice work thank you, A little tip for you, when placing litlle washers down any tube` if you get a long wooden skua place that down into the injector` and then place washer over skua ` the washer will drop down without flipping then just remove skua,
I've watched quite a few of these injector cleaning videos and this has been the best so far, very comprehensive and great to witness the end result. Good JOB!!
Thanks mate. I have my injectors out on my 98 Land Rover Discovery 300 TDI and will follow your instructions to clean them up and see how it runs. We are in Winter here (Australia) and I hope the cleaning will make it run a lot smoother for the Summer months when I use it the most. It runs quite rough at the moment. Great instructions mate. Thank you - Gerry
Great video. I would wear nitrile gloves though and would use copper wire to unclog the nozzle holes... unless I was desperate..!! I wouldn't use a sewing needle though unless I was completely desperate... as anyone who works on their own vehicles will sometimes be!
This is a great video but you need to know what type of injector you have. If you have a piezoelectric injector it is hydraulic no springs and tolerances of 3/1000th you can't clean like this.
This something people don't know. I have in the past annealed copper washers on sump plugs. I suppose it depends on "If it leaks" or not. Sometimes it's just as well the buy new.
@@FluffleValveExpress YES, I knew it, I been doing that and work mates cocking nose up…. I use the copper slip and really rub it in……. Thanks, good video…..
Hi' I have just had an engine fitted on my 313 sprinter. Mechanic has fitted new delphi injectors but wont start. Delphi say injectors have been scarred and are now knackered (won't replace them) have you or your followers experienced this , what could be the cause and do you know of a solution
I did the work!.. deleted code and yay!.. Except 8 sec later code is back and now it’s leaking at new areas.. any torque spec on the items (all pref) for a Ford transit connect? 😅
@@FluffleValveExpress ah that’s all good 😊 thank you for the video though! I’ll get there in the end I’m sure.. orrrr a new injector is already in the mail..😅
I took an injector off to clean it and now the car is not starting, all the injectors are not spraying, there is pressure in the rail but the injectors are not opening. Help me please
Try bleeding the system. Crack open the feed pipe to the injector while cranking the engine over. Are you sure everything went back together correctly 🤔.?
@@FluffleValveExpress Thank you again, sorry didn't mean to be rude about the money, If you were here I would probably take you out for a beer :))) ! Have a nice day!
Hopefully, you have put them back together in the correct order that they came apart? Also, did you bleed and prime the diesel system before trying to start the engine?
@@FluffleValveExpress Thanks for the reply, yeah it's all bled up, and there's pressure there, coz I get a big squirt when I crack the nut on the inlet pipes, but il dismantle them again tomorrow to see if I didn't put them back right, cheers il let you know

great video ...makes me confident to try it myself, Thank you
Excellent video. Thanks for sharing. Only problem I have is I don't have access to an airline.
That'll be the next thing on your shopping list. An Air-Line is a godsend in any workshop.
excellent strip and reassembly, and advice; really useful.
Cheers mate. Will have a go with my Pug 407 2.0 hdi injectors. Ys jazz
Great job bro got to do my m57 ENGINE BMW 3.0td x6 same job

I do believe it is a Bosch Fuel injector.

Excellent video but why not anneal the copper washers before you put them back under the injectors?

time stamp 30.22 lol what happened to cranking for 20 mins.... if only they were all like that...
Very useful - thanks!
What do you put on them to aid removal in the future?? Please…

Could be the mechanic has damaged them somehow? If you damage the Nozzle/Tip of the injector, it won't spray correctly.
Thank
Bravo
May Allah give you hidayah....aamiin
Should be wearing gloves, should not be firing compressed air into palm of hand either
Very True, but we have all been there and done it. I do wear gloves on some jobs, but it's the fiddly jobs that gloves can hinder.

Sorry, I know nothing about the Ford Transit other than that I owned one in the late 1980's It was a MK2 Mini bus, converted to a camper.
