I'm here because of Wiley. I'm sure you are dancing to your hearts delight in heaven!
Same thing here...
Me too. I think of all the time I lost.
Me too - I am glad I devoted my life to my four kids.
Same here
God bless Wiley!
My dad used to sing this to me I'm 64 now I miss you dad
My mom is 98 and has dementia but lately she's been singing this song (only the introduction) she couldn't remember all the lyrics so I had to Google. She loved listening to it and I love it too! I'm so glad she still remembers this song. Such a sweet lady, my mom. Lessons to be learned
My mom has dementia too and just started singing this song!
@@hellozonk9139
this song has zing and powerful lyrics. I just lost my mom, a few days ago and had to come back and listen to this song. I saw your comment and it made me smile. Thank you, I hope your mom keeps singing. Enjoy Yourself
@@joanneaulicino8570 rip to your mom!
My Gramma passed at the age 93 in 2020. She would always sing this jingle along with all my aunties and uncles that she has since reunited with! Enjoy yourself gang, it’s later than you think!
That’s some deep meaning!
Here because of Wiley.
I am actually here for Guy Lombardo; as is everyone else.
I want this song played at my funeral.
Too late then. Play it now!
You won't give a shit.
@@normanplombe2889 True enough, but the thought of it being played might comfort me in my final moments and that's as much as anyone can ask for
House MD finale. What a moment.....!!!, and the perfect song for the ending.
it was featured in lots of episodes throughout the seasons not only the finale
even Amber sang it once
yeah i expected it to be more dramatic as well...but if you think of it...it wasn't all that positive too...they still picked the nicest person and gave him cancer :D it's a realistic thing which why life sucks...but i mean it's a better ending than i would thought it would be
Pratik Shah There was one more epi though
literally just watched that episode again, "Under my Skin"@@AmrShriefIGOR
It’s 2021 and I’m here because of Wiley . Let’s spend more time with ourself and children. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I'm here because of Wiley .. may his soul rest in peace
I just heard a 90 year old woman singing this song on a vlog and decided to youtube it. I love it because it reminds me to enjoy myself and don't wait until I get old.
My mom is 91 and we sang this together last week on her birthday. She and my dad were huge fans of Guy.
I'm also here because of Wiley. I'm so sorry for the Storments' loss, and so grateful for this lesson.
I used to play piano/organ in restaurants and "cocktail lounges".
I must have played this over a thousand times (really) over the years. I think Guy Lombardo had the only hit record of this song.
This song says it all.....if you ain't enjoying yourself.....YOU are not really living.
I like this song which is so well sung with realistic and meaningful lyrics. My late Dad had this record and liked to play it when I was a kid. I remember him sitting in the sofa while I played my toy cars in the living room of the house we lived then. Meanwhile Mom cooked supper for us. Nice memories.
My dad loves this song. He's 85!!
This song has been covered by so many people in so many genres....and IMO, this is STILL the best version ☺
☺
I always loved The Specials version and didn't know it was a cover until I recently stumbled on this in RUclips. 😂 Feeling kinda dumb. 😁 Guy Lombardo is before my time but I still usually know my music pretty well, at least what are covers! ah well, you learn something new every day. That was fun.
I did enjoy this but but Specials still does it best, for me. 😁
Enjoy yourselves!
Turning 30 this year and I really needed to hear this song thank you.
What have you done since?
@@yuvalomrad7090 A lot of things despite all of the lockdowns.
Lol wait until you turn 50...
I’m here bc of my Mom & Dad! My mom used to sing all the time!! Remember seeing Guy Lombardo on New Year’s Eve! He took New Year’s with him
I'm glad that they used this in the very final scene of House.
Same here
yeah, just completed the whole 8 seasons for the 7th time.. :-(
+Mparrish16 Did not know that. Thanks for the information!

Song came up on my Spotify somehow and I'm African American so I have no business getting it on my Spotify list however soon as I heard the lyrics I got goosebumps , imagine hearing someone from life's past uttering these words at the time when I'm overworking myself smh I'm enjoying my life and taking work less seriously
Hello stranger, I hope you are living your best life!
@@DD-d6d3 who is this? I am though 🖤🖤🖤
This song was mentioned in the movie "The Adam Project". Came out earlier this year on Netflix; great movie.
@@Frunobulax74 I agree Wich is why I also enjoy some country lyrics, I was more so addressing the likelihood of me hearing this song in my day to day life , not to mention that this type of music is like a relic from the past
There is ska reggae version as well. Sarah
Such an incredibly positive and philosophical song!
a little Italian boy from London, Ontario, Canada, laughed all the way to the bank and also raced and set records racing speed boats what a GUY.
Good Story :) Thanks for watching our videos and your comment! You can find for free, more music of Guy Lombardo and more similar artists in our web or our Facebook!

! Thanks!
Indeed, he did; Guy Lombardo and the Royal Canadians were very successful in the years that they performed, but after the deaths of Carmen (1971) and Guy (1977), Liebert tried to keep the orchestra going, but failed, and it wasn't until Al Pierson came along and resurrected the orchestra in 1989 that they finally became successful again.
VintageMusicFm another true story I heard was that years ago Louis Armstrong was playing at a club in harlem, guy and some the band dropped in to see them , guy , upon leaving ,invited Louis up to see his band at a big plush hotel in new York, of course the management wouldn't let Louis in ,when guy found out about it, he told the manager you let him in or we all walk out, from that night on guy was always Louis's favourite band, in fact he always stated that Lombardo's band was the best band he could dance too. true story, that appeard in downbeat mag in the early 70's
@@alancobain2151 Elvis Presley did something similar. When he was told the black members of his band and backup singers couldn't join him in a hotel, he said if they aren't coming in I'm not coming in.
Dad and Mom use to see Guy Lombardo every year when he came up to Bedford NH,. They loved dancing to his music . The sweetest music this side of heaven! NH.
I remember when I heard this song it takes me back alright born in 1955 our family enjoyed it exupertly
Thank you for the lesson, Wiley. Rest In Peace.
RIP Wiley!!! My heart is broken for your family.
"Disfruta de tí mismo, es más tarde de lo que piensas" buena canción que nos llama la atención que la vida no solo es trabajar y ganar dinero sino que debemos divertirnos también mientras podamos hacerlo.
my dad used to sing this tune!!!!.
Regards
I first heard this song as a teenager. Didn't take it very seriously, as I thought I had all the time in the world. Has a very different meaning now! Don't postpone joy.
It's later than you think! Incredible song.
I'm also here from France because of Wiley. Dear Wiley's family, thanks for your words. I know you will be together in the day of resurrection and then, tears of great joy will replace tears of sadness. Remember that despite all your regrets, you ARE some wonderful parents, may you be specially blessed during those times of sorrow... Love from France, Sylvain.
I'm here because of Wiley. What a great song. We lost our daughter 4 1/2 years ago (17) and would give anything to just get another hug from her. Enjoy your kids and give them a hug.
I dont know you Dale but im so sorry for your loss losing a child is unimaginable to me i have a little boy (4) and love him more than anything in this world, i hope time makes it easier on you and your partner and know you will cherish every memory you have of her, god bless you.
i am here because of Wiley
Whose Wiley?
I want to thank the Specials for their amazing cover of this song :) it really hits home lately
Fantastic comment. Got here because I wanted to hear their version.
I prefer it as a ska number.
People from The *Adam’s* Project bout to start pouring in, I’m still in tears from that dammed movie😭😭😭
For some reason the Adam project reminds me of the movie Coco
It was fire
Rest in Peace, Wiley. Your story has given me more perspective.
Here because your House MD seasons got over and want to see more !
Life does go by and it goes by fast
Raise your sails and rise your mast
Cast your boat the Oceans are vast
Before your Life has passed do it fast
Enjoy Life and you will have a blast
My mom sung this to me on her death bed - to encourage me to go on - after she was gone - It took me awhile to find it on the web after she died - so I could hear it for myself. My little kids and I danced around to it a few months after she died - and i found it
ask Siri to play it every day as we do in Costa Rica...bro 88, me 77, wives are 74 & 68
My late Dad had this record I liked to hear it when I was a child. I Heard it I don't remember how many times but liked it and still do. It has good advice we should take time for ourselves not work and work and more work. After all its been over fifty years since I used to hear this song and sometimes I think -Where did those 50plus years go? So whenever I have a vacation I go to the beach sun myself and swim with my wife as my sons are both married now and go their own ways.
i have no idea who wiley is..im here because i like Guy Lombardo music

Such a great lesson for everyone. Wiley Rest In Peace!
R I P GUY !
FABULOUS AS EVER !
My God. A nice little tune, BUT SO PROFOUND!
peace Wiley.... thanks for this cruel reminder... :(
My father had an original copy of this recording back in the 50's, a 78rpm by Decca I believe. The flip side was a funny gag recording which gave me great pleasure listening to back in the day--titled: "She's a Beauty" I have seached and search the for that song for years without any luck--I would love to hear it again.
Here for Wiley. Sending this to my partner and living today for our kids. 🤩
Danes love a good party and my late father-in-law Eric was no exception. He and his Danish friends would always sing this song before the party ended. Now I know where this song came from.
Here because of The Adam Project. Had no idea this was a Guy Lombardo song. Only knew the version by The Specials.
I'm also here because of Wiley, rest in peace buddy. I'm so sorry for the Storments' loss.
This was my Dads favorite Guy Lombardo song he would have a rum and coke and would sing to it enjoy yourself its later than you think
Wiley's story brought me here♡
Thank you Wiley💙
My mother taught me of this legend!!!! Love it indeed!!!

Real Music! What a treat. Loved this band and the wonderful times the family and I would sit by the radio and listen to the best music this side of heaven.
I know this song because of "Adam Project"
😀😀😀 love this song very much
I listen to this every morning just to remind myself "just enjoy yourself"!
This song is something to live by
Im here because of Wiley - thank you for reminding me too.
A very inspiring song!
I first heard this song when it first came out. I took it to heart. I am now 88. Man, have I had a great life. Blondes, brunettes, ocean voyages - all of it. Did a helluva lot of work and worrying too but doing okay as a retired lawyer. God is good. My secret? Laughter.
My best friend shared the article of Wiley back in 2019 when I was going through a rough time. That article made me burst into tears. Lost the same friend to Covid a few months back. re-reading that article and listening to this makes me feel closer to him somehow.
I'm here because Gene's Haufbrau in Charleston, SC, played it every night before closing time. It was a signal, but listening to the lyrics...woof... t's deep.
Thanks for the reminder, Wiley!
I'm here because of The Specials, but keep searching about the other versions of this song. This guy (Guy) have had a brilliant voice. Like it!
Manu Chao sings it
Thanks for the information.
@@JasonEllison Yes, I've heard his version too. Brilliant as well. Thank you, regards!
I'm here because my Dad, who died just a few days ago, had always told me I had to listen to this song when he passed.
Thanks Dad. It really helps.
Sorry for your loss, my dad and mom danced to Guy when he played at the Bedford Carasel in NH for years, great music and fond memories, my Dad says that new years eve isn't the same without Guy Lombardo,
The same happen to me, my dad had an ACV some days ago, and theres no chance of recovery. His brain is 70% damaged.
And I remembered this song from dr. house ending, because my dad is 55 years old, he could live 10 or 20 years more if this didnt happen.
But at least he enjoyed his life until his last day
Good song!
I read the story about Wiley too and immediately decided to google the song. I am surprised to know I was not the only one that did.Life is a precious thing and we must tell the people we love how much we care and love them. I lost my brother 6 years ago and I have regrets. Enjoy your life and enjoy yourself, it's later than you think!
xoxo Wiley...fly high!
From Germany...because of Wiley and Wiley's family. An important reminder, given in the face of such trauma. A tribute. Thank you!
I can't remember hearing this song even though recorded by numerous artists. Caught it on Zoomer Radio , Toronto. Great programming and knowledgeable DJ's Though I am a senior citizen there is always something old to hear.
Thanks for the recommendation Roger Stirling.
We have an old saying.. when someone passes away we say that God needs him in the other world. Fly high, Wiley!
I love this song. I have it on a 78 and a 10" LP.
This song has been covered so many times. I was in a pub in Streatham and the band played it 3 times in 2017. I first heard the Specials sing it and then what I thought was the original Prince Buster. Hats off Mr Guy.
I thought it was Prince Buster's also. :) But love the original. Great song, Guy Lombardo.
a very good song and so true we should enjoy life whilst we can as time comes when we can barely move about. So what good is all the money we made if we cannot enjoy it?
Enjoy yourself right here, right now, with all vitality enthusiasm and joy. Life is passing you by every precious moment of the day. Do what you've always wanted to do. So, get cracking. Get there before it's too late . Time and ride won't wait for you.
Netflix movie "The Adam Project" brought me here. Geesh this is such a suiting song for the times we live in. Being a black woman in America, I needed this is my soul today. This is a message song for sure, and we need to learn that life is short. Enjoy it as much as you can cause it'll be over sooner than we think.
This is my own Big Band Leader since he would have the end of the year program so when I think of this Big Band Leader, I remember he was still preforming ending the year, although Dick Clark was very good, but that is not as special to me since I connect with Guy Lombardo much better and hearing the song brings back good memories likely I would cry when I do get to hear it.
The Song is NOT only about death, it's far more about enjoying every day as much as your able to do so and praying helps me enjoy life more or as much as I am able to.
When that hairy fist of silence slugs us, bugs us, puts us down
we'll all wing it, we'll all sing it: Guy Lombardo's back in town!
Thank you, A treat for my ears and feet!
Love this pro human freedom song takes the seriousness out of life and is a much need message for today cheers
I'm also here because of Wiley. Dance your little heart out buddy! ❤❤❤
Classic Lombardo!Kenny Gardner at his best.
Lovely Gracias por Nuestra Musica ❤💗🙏
Really i come from Dr. House the last scene with that music :) I am 35 now diagnosed with Diabetes and at my age 35 i had allready more then enough of hospitals! 19 surgerys. the only "risk* is now my Diabetes but i was all my life worried about everthing always in my mind "1 year ahead" like what will be in 1 year? what will be in 3 months etc..... at one day last summer i was so happy to be alive in "good" conditions i bought a bike and from time to time i drive with my bike around never know where i will end up...most times at home sometimes i cross the border to germany or france and look at clock "oh it's getting dark soon"...so go to a good hotel and sleep the night there ALONE and just feel ...happy...yes happy... and i have that song always with me. you never know when the day comes when you can't do it anymore
Thanks House MD!
This is so true. Where do the years go?
I'm here because of Wiley...thanks for the reminder. Rest in Peace.
Enjoy yourself, it's later than you think
Enjoy yourself, while you're still in the pink
The years go by, as quickly as you wink
Enjoy yourself, enjoy yourself, it's later than you think
Hello, I'm Terry, and I'm going to enjoy myself first
It's good to be wise when you're young
'cause you can only be young but the once
Enjoy yourself and have lots of fun
So glad and live life longer than you've ever done
Enjoy yourself, it's later than you think
Enjoy yourself, while you're still in the pink
The years go by, as quickly as you wink
Enjoy yourself, enjoy yourself, it's later than you think
Never right, yes I know
Get wisdom, knowledge and understanding
These three, were given free by the maker
Go to school, learn the rules, don't be no faker
It's not wise for you to be a foot stool
Enjoy yourself, it's later than you think
Enjoy yourself, while you're still in the pink
The years go by, as quickly as you wink
Enjoy yourself, enjoy yourself, it's later than you think
Enjoy yourself, it's later than you think
Enjoy yourself, while you're still in the pink
The years go by, as quickly as you wink
Enjoy yourself, enjoy yourself, it's later than you think
Great song - thr Specials ska'ed it and bingo -one of the greatest songs ever
sensacional !!!
This is a masterpiece work
So true 😮
Here because of Wiley's Dad. Thaks for the reminder. Rest in peace
Wow - I never heard this song until quoted in a post by Wiley's father. This really puts life in perspective - thank you for helping us all stop and live.
Also here for Wiley. So sad how tragedy reminds us to make the most of now. RIP buddy and may your family find peace.
Thank you Greg!
Not sure who Willy is, but I remember my grandfather listening to this all the time. He would record his favorite radio music on cassettes and replay them. I still have some of those recordings, but lost this one. Such great advice. RIP, Jiddo...
Enjoy yourself, it's later than you think...while you're still I'n the pink...Enjoy yourself, enjoy yourself, it's later than you think. Thoughts and prayers to our mutual lost Love Ones. May She and He rest in peace thus in the Eternal...?
Long live Kenny Gardner! Lake View is a beautiful place.
