Hi Sir my 55pus6703/12 6870c-0535b I have backlight and sound. When I disconnect on strip line I get half of screen only white. ia this about t-con board?
Hey man...excellent vid...I have an old Phillips TV (used as a PC monitor) that has developed the following issue over time. Sometime ago, when I powered it up it would light properly but go dark after a couple of seconds. With a few power cycles it would eventually light up, slightly flicker for a while and then work normally. Today the "few power cycles" trick did not work. It lights up for 2 seconds and goes dark. With the flashlight test I can see faint images on the screen. About a month ago I opened it up and used compressed air to de-dust it and check all connectors I could see, but none was loose (did not try to unplug-replug them though). Does this description (basically the flickering part) ring a bell on where the problem could be located so I can start debugging a bit more specifically?? I am not very sure about my skills and of scared to dive into this totally blind...oh...and its not smart...on the first production LCD tvs from around mid 2000'...
thanks to this, i learned that i sadly need a new TV ;( it sucks more because i got a 50" Phillips TV with ambilight for about $400... which was about 50% off at that store... and the backlight just *poof* died...
2nd roku softwear tv that's done this after not very long ( over a year, less than 3yrs) 2 different brands, tcl and phillips. Same thing, resests work for a couple of weeks then it doesn't. Could it be the roku software?
I've got the blue screen too, and it randomly works every few weeks. We'll just turn the TV on, and then it works until we turn it off again. Or it shuts off, and then it doesn't turn on.
What if the picture goes off intermittently? For a while now, the screen has blanked out to black (with sound still going) a few seconds or even several minutes after turing it on from standby. Turning it off with the remote, then turning it on again would fix this after a few tries. Sometimes the screen would then stay on for hours, sometimes it would turn off again after a few minutes, or maybe within half an hour. Recently however, no matter how many times I turn it off and on again, the screen only stays on for a minute. I doubt it is the screen or backlight, it seems to be related to powering on and standby. While turning on, the diode switches from red to white, and it pulses between weak and strong white light, sometimes it keeps doing this for a long time.
any advice about my 55pus6703/12 6870c-0535b I have backlight and sound. When I disconnect on strip line I get half of screen only white. is this T-CON board?
Question - my TCon board shows picture on half the screen on both sides when you unplug either cable. I got a second hand TCon board but that one only shows image on 1 half with either cable unplugged? Is this a problem with the replacement TCon board or perhaps something else?
I have a question for you I got a Philips flat screen T.V with sound but no picture. I toke it to repair and he changed the control board. The T.V will run normally for whatever time until you turn it off and then turn it on again. It will be back to the same problem, sound but no picture. Do you have an idea what could be the problem?
But I don’t really use the led lights 😶 could it still be that? Power cycle did nothing for my 55PUS6704… I tried power cycling a few times. Still nothing. The red light on the tv doesn’t come on after I’ve tried to turn in back on. It’s only on those first seconds of power up. Then nothing
hello i have a philips TV have a issue when i switch on the TV the pannel is working main board has two green lights showing but pictures in the beginning there was a full vertical line issue i changed the T-con board but still no picture only a black screen but the pannel is working i hope because i have checked half screen test with tcon then i get white screen on the half i tried with both sides i got half white screen on both sides i have tried changing ribbon cables but still no picture the backlights are okey working perfectly a permannent line on pannel that is also showing so i think pannel is also, can you help me to find asolution for this how i can find the solution for this. it is 65 inch philips smart tv 2019
My problem was lines on the screen on and off then it just showed blackscreen after a few weeks. I unplugged one of the ribbon cables from the T-con got white screen on half screen and picture on the other half, did the same with the other ribbon cable and got it reversed, then i plugged both back in and got the black screen. is this a T-con problem then, should I just replace it? Could it be somthing else?
My tv quickly flashes the Philips logo when I switch it on, then goes black, there is sound and when I shine a torch at the screen there is picture. What could cause the back light to go out? It obviously still works if it’s on for a split second when I start the tv. Thanks
@@mariusconstantin7569 no using spare tv for now, after a month of leaving it. Tv came on and worked fine for about ten minutes then backlight stopped again and it went out.

Thank you for all the tips!
For me, unplugging and re-plugging all the cables fixed the issue.
