- In May 2020, having had all our touring (international & local) cancelled, the band came together to record this special live concert. It was our effort to reach out to everyone who we would have been able to see in person, had the world not been hit by the global pandemic.
These Psalms speak powerfully to us, in such a time as this. We hope you enjoy and, more importantly, are encouraged as you take a musical journey through the Psalms with us.

Dear Brothers, we are missionaries in France, one of the most spiritual deserted countries in the world, for over 28 years. The Lord has placed us in quite a lonely place, we don't even have a church. I just cannot tell you how your music has ministered to us, time and time again. In fact, it is the ONLY music we've been listening to for years. My children tell me every time, 'Dad, there's other music too!' But I always give the same answer: 'Yes, perhaps, but this is the Word of God, and it ministers to my spirit, and not only to my soul'. The Lord has used you in a wonderful way to stay focused on God, even when, sometimes 'complaining' (wrestling) with God, why His promises seem to far away here in France. There are many Jewish people in France. I pray now for a special anointing from the Holy Spirit to reach them with the New Covenant. That your faith and love would draw them to jealousy through the grace and peace you have in Yeshua
I told my son the other night that I don't listen to Christian music much. And then I read an article online that mentioned your group. I started to listen to Psalm 50, 80...repeating those through out the day. The songs provoke a renewal, an inner longing for a God who loves intimacy in truth.

My husband has a terrible illness that God in his infinite wisdom has left us with. Years ago while I was deeply struggling, drowning in a turmoil of grief and desperation, I read one of your books about the psalms. What a blessing! What a movement of God! It ministered to me in such a powerful way enabling us to be so blessed through our terrible predicament. We still battle with the illness, but what joy! For God is with us in this valley and I would rather be in no other place then here experiencing the power and love of His guidance. Thank you from the depth of my heart.

The drummer in SOK is beyond a shadow of a doubt my favorite drummer. His crisp and tasteful style of drumming is quite refreshing.
See them in concert if you get a chance - Rod is a true percussionist - so much more than just a 'drummer'!

It's not obvious but the hardest thing to do in SOK is to play without any obvious style or misplaced drum licks and grooves.
I try to compliment the music without getting in the way or taking from the text.
Sometimes Matt lets me layer lots of drum and percussion tracks, and other times i just offer very light rhythmic support.
If you think it works i am more 5han delighted to have served these amazing songs faithfully

The thing that makes this band unique is that they focus on the word of god and use the music to convey it.
Unfortunately you see in many bands that the band is praised instead of God. This band is not one of them. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen

I never really got the Psalms until I heard your music at a concert in Brisbane over 10yrs ago, I thank you for your all you do & pray you can return here soon. You’ve opened up such understanding and to be able to utilise this understanding in prayer (Eph 6:12), worship & every day life.....I have most of your albums & cannot think of a better way bless another in Christ than to give an album to them, especially “Fractures “..... cannot wait for each new recording, like a fine wine you all grow greater with age, don’t stop! I agree, Karren. Love all Scripture, but even as a poet and heavily involved in lay ministry, the Psalms were 'closed' to me. SOK opened them up and now they are a huge blessing!

Praise the Lord Jesus for your wonderful refreshing work on the Pslams. I use them very regularly especially in family devotions. Thank You Matt and Rod and "Spike" and will the Sons of Korah team of the years who have helped to bring the Psalms to life in song in such a way that is so unique and absolutely refreshing to the soul. So a big thank you for your diligent labour of love. The Pslams in songs have had an immense encouraging impact on my family and I. Bless you all again and keep up the great work.

But more than this, I wanted to thank you all for the great work you are doing with recording the Psalms. As a Christian of 15+ years, I've always struggled getting into worship music. I found it either far too cheesey, theologically worrying or repetitive. I started to think something was severely wrong with me, and worried about my heart towards Yahweh. However, when I came across your album, Light Of Life, that changed and I felt I could worship Him at last in song with a full and joyful heart. This has been the case for the rest of your recordings which facilitate the lyrical beauty of the Psalms with today's instrumentation in wonderful arrangements.
Psalm 42 is a recent favourite of mine, having gone through a testing time. Your recording of it, particularly 42b, has been such an incredible blessing to me and ministered to my soul in a way that no counselling, advice or teaching could. Truly, the Psalms are the only counselling a believer should need.
So again, thank you Sons of Korah for your hard work, charity in uploads, and lifting up the Psalms in these last days. And praise Yahweh for the underestimated treasure trove that is the book of Psalms!

What a wonderful concert by the most amazing musical interpreters of the Psalms I have ever listened to! This is food for the soul and the spirit that stems from the source of life. What a positive way of proclaiming the sovereignty and the mercy of God! Thanks for this life-saving and life-changing music.
First saw SOK at Mandurah in 2005, then about four times since. Would always go out to see them. Matt's teaching and book Deeper Places, Psalm 51, 93, 1, 91, and so many more... have edified my spirituality a very great deal. Not one of their Psalms on all the albums haven't I played dozens of times. I became a pastor back in 2005 so SOK's ministry has blessed so many of my days. You have given me so much in the name of the Lord. In so many ways, I pray you all be blessed, Matt, Spike, Rod Wilson, Rod Gear (miss that intro on Psalm 93), Mike and Anna and others, in 2021 and beyond.
Someone left your cd at Succat Hallel prayer house in Jerusalem. I recently heard it for the first time and absolutely connected with the music! I am so happy to have discovered your music and I now, after 10.5 years of praying for a Prophetic Dance Center in Jerusalem have apprehended it! I am releasing dances with your music here and it has truly blessed me! Be encouraged, as He will continue to provide for all of your needs, just as He has supernaturally provided for mine the last 13 years here in Israel! The Lord bless you all! Hi Linda. We'll be releasing a couple of new Psalms in the early new year. Initially these will only be available through the APP for subscribers. Once we have written and recorded another 10-12 songs we'll look to release them all as a CD or download. So, throughout 2021, we'll be adding new Psalms to the APP and then in the 2nd half of the year, the collection in other formats and platforms.

Amen… I’m trying to start an Old Testament revival.. as in a revival in reading it. It’s amazing and so full of the knowledge of God.. his mercy justice and love. I believe the New will be deeper when we get to understand the old.

I said in a large group meeting recently of Joe reading the old has affected me so much spiritually in a positive manner.. as in greeting to know and understand God better.. as per his instruction to us in Jeremiah 9:23,24… mins blowing verses. I also stated that to there was something wrong how the church never seems to teach much on the old.. as of it was t relevant anymore. I said.. somewhat sarcastically.. “ I often thought should I just rip it out of my bible and throw it away?!. I said a bit more besides. But it’s been truly amazing for me reading it and STUDYING it and asking God questions.
