- This video is all about buying our first house and moving to Chattanooga, Tennessee. In our last video we told y'all we were buying a house and moving, but we didn't tell y'all where we were going. Surprise: it's Chattanooga!
This video is picking up on closing day/moving day where we get the keys to our first house in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The first half is showing you our new home and moving into our first home. The second half of the video is all about why we decided to move to Chattanooga. If you're interested in moving to Chattanooga or relocating to Tennessee, stay until the end.
Chattanooga is such an incredible city and we're so thankful to be able to call this place home. It's been a crazy year but we're finally HOME. :)

Tennessee has such friendly people. I broke down in Chattanooga on my way home to Atlanta and had so many people stop to see if I was ok and if I needed any help.
They are such nice people! Chattanooga definitely still has that feel of southern hospitality. Glad those who saw you checked to make sure you were okay. :)

People don’t realize how cool Chattanooga is. Tons of outdoor activities, great restaurants, good size, and no income tax!
It's SUCH a great place! We're so happy to call it home again. And we're especially excited about that no income tax! lol
That's if you can afford to live in the nice parts!! My $.02 , its obvious thy live around signal mountain
No income tax? Since when? Me and my other Chattanoogans that have lived here for years would like to know.
@@HumbleKimmiB Tennessee has no state income tax. If you work in Georgia you have to pay it.

Never imagined moving from New Orleans. Now living in Dayton. Went to visit this past weekend. Sometimes life takes you home where it really feels like home
Would you recommend Chattanooga over Knoxville?
@@FaithUpjohn Traffic is a lot worse in Knoxville but it is also a much larger population there. This also means more amenities are available. So without knowing your desires kind of tough to recommend. I find the variety of places to eat are better in Knoxville. No clue about property taxes and such. the Zoo and museums are a lot bigger and better. Remember it is only 90 miles or so between the two cities so easy enough to make a day trip and enjoy each. Dollywood , pigeon forge and gatlinburg are closer also meaning day trip from knoxville. Chattanooga is more of an out door place to live with hiking boating and such.
Welcome to town, I moved here about 6 years ago from California. This area is absolutely amazing you will love it.

Btw...the amount of gorgeous pictures to be taken are endless and our bicycle trails are serene!

I grew up outside of Chattanooga (y’all would laugh if I told you were), and I feel like it’s grown so much since I lived there in the last 90s and early 2000s.

It is interesting to see homes in other cities and what it is like to live there. I love seeing how it is to live in places other than what I know. Can't wait to see the neighborhood!

I've lived in Chattanooga for most of my life. Everyone loves the ice cream show and walking the walking bridge. All of the town's around Chattanooga are super cool too. I hope you love living here as much as I do

@@ceeceety2320 Both .... My dad had a '66 Chevelle that he loved sooooo much that he convinced my mom to give me that name. I was born that year and he got his car in February of that year.

Yes, we are centrally located 2 hrs or less from Atlanta, Knoxville, Nashville which I love for day trips...

I've lived in Chattanooga most of my life, and while I've thought of moving, I've stayed for the same reasons you've listed. I love traveling as well and having somewhere that can be my resting post.
Welcome guys! I just stumbled on your channel and so glad I did. It's always awesome to see love for this city on RUclips. I moved here from Los Angeles in 2016 and so glad I did. It's got that southern charm with just enough metropolitan vibe for my taste. Coffee scene is great too, I recommend Mean Mug & Stone Cup on Northshore, and Sleepyhead Coffee downtown!
Funny enough, we're fixing to move into a house in the spring, so we'll be facing the daunting task of finding a house in a currently-competitive housing market. Hopefully we get as lucky as you did!!
