- Heavy rainfall flooded homes and streets of Dubai after it received a year’s worth of rain within hours. Massive traffic jams were observed on Highways and streets as rainwaters halted several vehicles in the middle of the roads. People were seen pushing cars in waist high flood water. Floodwaters entered major luxury malls in the city.

Because nearly everything is at sea-level, nothing 'drains' away. Solution: forced main-or pump sewage to a treatment facility
