To say he’s an amazing vocalist is an understatement. Marc is by far one of the best singers I’ve ever heard. Why Queen didn’t chose him to tour with them is beyond me. Amazing.
Too bad we don't have more of this in proper quality. Admittedly, Marc sits on a lot of soundboard recordings from that tour, but is not too eager to release it anytime soon.

I only discovered Marc a couple days ago, but when I hear a Queen or George Michael song now (and am away from the screen), I second-guess myself and think that I’m hearing Marc do covers of their songs, when it’s the original artist singing them!

Marc was one of two lead singers in Downhere, and was usually tied to a mic stand at the piano or with a guitar or bass. Only when he joined Queen Extravaganza did he get to be a true lead singer... but at first he was one of FOUR! (plus instrumentalist Tyler Warren for a 5th!) Only after leaving QuEx did he get to really shine as a lead singer and true Frontman.

Supposedly one German TV station was recording at the venue with their cameras, at least part of the show. And, of course, there is the wonderful live feed video... Nope, nothing was published ever. But we know they have it, since they used the video footage shot from multiple angles, that was recorded at Marc's shows for Semmel Concerts 2022 promo clip.

Man, the other musicians just aren't on the same level... Further the guitarist seems to think he's in AC/DC or something. Very much detracted from it, but in any case was enjoyable listening to Marc as usual.
I loved all of them, the guitarist "shooting" down Marc, priceless. The bassist bringing in some slapping, very welcome. The drummer giving it all (would have loved a drum solo). Don't need to talk about Brandon and Marc I guess. Still best part of the evening was 5 seconds and had no music in it. Marc doing his impression of Roger Taylor inner voice "I should start my own Tribute Band" really blowed me away.
@@frickcgn Haha, well I would also be hyped having actually been to the concert, but nah man, these guys are scrubs ;) Honestly though, very clinical and uninspired playing. I like the original gang better and the guys he's with in Ultimate Queen Celebration are also great. I didn't look closely into it but it feels like everyone here is different, at least in terms of the parts that stand out.

Guitarists Angus, Aurelian and Tristan all are, IMHO, superior especially at accurately reproducing Brian May (Tristan being the standout at technical, the others being a bit more innovative) This guitarist is definitely not attempting to reproduce May, and while a good player, misses the point of the band to reproduce Queen audibly. I will say they do not pick "scrubs" at all. If you think any of these musicians are scrubs you don't understand the difficulty of playing Queen at this level

My judgment, as far as them being "scrubs", was intentionally facetious as for the sake of exaggerating a point and to suggest that I stand by my original comment. What I thought was, "the other musicians just aren't on the same level", pushing off of precisely the guys you pointed out, and the issue with their playing I briefly alluded to in the previous comment. In short, it doesn't matter their ability to reproduce the notes in the proper sequence; the particular kind of articulation, accentuation, and musical inflection necessary to capture the essence of Queen is completely missing and results in a totally superficial (and frankly obnoxious) reproduction of their sound (nevermind that in many instances the guitarist is actually just plainly sloppy). It's precisely because I understand the difficulty of playing Queen at the necessary level to make it feel authentic that I made my remark. Feel like you were just a little too quick to defend.
That would be awesome by me. But you know there's a lot of jerks that would poo poo Marc/Queen for doing it. Lots of idiotic people who ruin enjoyment for others. ☹️
