  • I explain my method for blocking out a pose, and either applying anatomical shapes or going straight to clothed volumes. This method lets you start drawing figures right away while you're learning anatomy. Don't wait until you're an anatomy expert before tackling the figure in perspective. If you learn both skills, the two disciplines will soon converge, and you'll be posing figures before you know it!

Hello, I don't really comment much on RUclips, but I really wanted to say that your website is the best resource I've found to learn anatomy from. it is friendly, and goes through every step of the learning process in a very organised manner, god bless you Reuben.

This is the best tutorial on using geometric shapes I’ve seen. I always kinda sorta understood but this makes practical sense. Much thanks.

This is easier. Thank you very much!! I agree this is way more simple than learning everything about anatomy. This makes it more fun in my opinion as well and is way better for me to attain my art goals !!!😄

Hello, can you make a tutorial for basic shapes as shown in this video?

I use traditional medium, paper and pencil, does your instructional video require that one has to draw digitally? Does your instructional video on perspective teach one how to draw a perspective grid via pencil and paper ?

Is it Clip Studio? Which brush did you choose for the pencil? It looks great (like all your stuff, by the way).

This come with practicing how to rotate and tumble 3D basic shapes (like cubes and cylinders). You can see what these shapes look like by exploring the mannequin at reubenlara.com/anatomy

your drawings are stiff, cause, 1, you wing the anatomy, 2 you wing the clothes fold, also you trow your construction out the window the minute you put that flat shading, shading should wrap around the forms, not just be random.
