If you are just starting to crochet and this is your first project then i would recommend going on RUclips and learning the different types she uses and just practice them in a simple square so when you come back to this video you already understand
For everyone complaining about speed of video, you can slow down the video!
And if you cannot see the video, use a laptop. It's not her fault you are on your phone.
Video is perfect, thank you for taking your time to post the video! 😊

@@alit7120amazing, thank you! 🙏🏻
Thanks very much. I was able to make my own scarf. Thanks to you, I'm now going to learn how to make myself a hat. God bless 🙌!!!
I think this is a great overview of multiple types of stitches and it is great practice for them. I did have to rewatch a few times so for super beginners it may be helpful to find other videos that get very detailed in describing each stitch, but this actually helped me to not hyper-focus on each little detail and just go with it. The best beginner/intermediate tutorial I've seen yet!
Thanks for this lovely tutorial! I'm a beginner but this was an east stitch for me. I was able to finish my first scarf within 3 days!
,it 1ch turn on sc, row, 2ch on hdC row, 2 chain on turn of doubke crochet row. According to my instruction book. Did this scarf turned out beautiful👍👍👍
Thank you very much for this video. I made it successfully by following your tutorial. It's a great present. Again, thank you very much and I wish you good health. God Bless you!
If you find yourself getting confused, my advice would be to rewind it and watch what she's doing, I kept trying to do it as she was explaining the stitch and it was so much more confusing.
Too fast.. the color of the yarn that you use is too light and for me it is very hard for me to see how you do it..
Ya blind

Be grateful for her toutorial

Yep
You’re so not alone. I think my wool is getting thinner the more I try to do one row let alone more.
This is not for beginners 😢
I love this. I have been crocheting for a few years but mostly granny square blanket types. Want to crochet a large scarf and love the different rows of stitches.
A new subscriber 👍
I just want to make a scarf for my friend. I can't see what's going on :(
Yeah it’s really hard to follow this tutorial 😢
Girl this is not for beginners, you showed how to do the stitch in like .5 seconds I've never been more confused
Crystal Rivera idk for me it was very detailed and very easy to learn
boi no
Same. I was just going to say. She is not very good st teaching beginners.... Im going to keep looking for a more beginner video
@@RQsuperglue It is for beginners, for those who know how to read & pay attention. Simply a combo of sc, hdc and dc. Which part did you not understand?
I was thinking the same and I’m having trouble after the first stitches
There is a very much easier way to do a slip knot.
I agree
Yes, there are many ways to make a slip knot and I feel like she chose the hardest way

Such a beautiful pattern and nicely explained for me. Thank you so much.
Thank you 😊 it’s really good I’ve made 3 scarfs
Love this tutorial I got the stitches down but have to work on my scarf being even on both sides, it’s not straight gets a little wider and then smaller again 😅
If this is basic and beginner why is she going so fast! I had to rewind so many times and still don't understand.
You can turn the speed down by vlicking those 3 dots in the upper right corner. Hope that helps you. She should of told you that but m ay not know herself. Much better videos for newbies keep looking.
*Alex Schneider* look at the written down pattern
Row 1: sc (single crochet), Row 2: hdc (half double), Row 3: dc (double crochet) in back loops; Row 4: dc in both loops. You can also try your own combo; like a row of sc and a row of hdc, whether in both loops or in back loop only. It's that simple
Same. Way to fast.
Alex Schneider right
I really appreciate this tutorial. I’m making my scarf right now. After the last double crochet row, do I chain one and single crochet that row? Thanks for the help! 👩🏻🦰🙏🏻
Thank you for your time God Bless
Great tutorial. Thank you!
Very pretty!! nice tutorial. I found a much easier way to do a slipknot though. Nice tutorial 👍
Thanks for the video😊
Ive been crochetting for years, when beginners are starting out its confusing and differcult for them ,people are always saying things that are not nice or helpful ...my advice to beginners are take your time and dont be upset if you mess up ,practice makes perfect gd luck
Very nice and informative video! I finally learned how to crochet. Thank you very much.
Great video! I love the use of differences stitches. Question, how many chains after the double crochet in both?
Thank you very informative
Very helpful for me and I’m a beginner.
I'm not one to bash, and I'm not going to, but I will say this us more an intermediate scarf than a beginner scarf. I see some other people suggesting watch other videos on each type of stitch-YES, DO THAT FIRST. Once you master each type of stitch(there are some lovely SLOW videos on here, just keep looking for the perfect one for you)THEN come back and try this. Its WAY too fast to learn the first time-if you did, fantastic and congrats-but, dont worry about rewinding! Keep trying, like she says, but dont get frustrated! Just...please...there are EASIER scarves out there to do as a very first scarf or a beginner scarf. This is deff a, "I've got a few under my belt and want to move up the ladder" scarf. I cried doing this scarf, dropped it and did easier ones, then came back to it and cried again. Dont give up, please. Crocheting is AWESOME!
Great video! Thank you!
Thankuou very much god bless you i liked and subed
I just started learning ....I WILL TRY THIS TODAY
Even tho it is the end of winter 😂
I don't know if others are right and this isn't easy for beginners, but as someone who has only ever done granny square blankets, I found it easy to follow. Sure I had to pause or rewind occasionally but these seem like basic stitches to me. Thanks for teaching me how to crochet a scarf. This is going to allow me to teach my Girl Scout Troop so we can make scarves for cancer patients.
Thank you! This is a very clever pattern!
Great tutorial!
Tysm i just started doing this the other day with my fingers and finally got more yarn and hooks and i had no idea how to use hooks bc i did it wrong lol
Very good .God gave you a gift God bless
This helps a lot, thank you!
What was that thing she did at the end on one side?
Amazing my scarf is so beautiful thanks for the tutorial 😇
Phumzile Dlamini how many stitches should I have in each row? I like to count my stitches. I think I should have 14 since she said to chain 15. 💜🧡💙💛💚
MaDlamini...
im having difficulty in continuing after the pattern ends as you showed, how do i continue with the single crochet row after the last double crochet row , into the back bar? the chains counts lesser than 15. it would be nice if you could elaborate on the same thankyou !
It took me a while to figure out what to do after the last double crochet. So you chain 1 and turn your work then single crochet from the first stitch
Hawaiian G8 mix scarf and how long crocheting red yellow like rainbow colors
How many yards of yarn did you use in this pattern?
Supper ma will you please confirm that whole weight of the wool to use it will be help me to buy the wool ma thank you ma have a good day bye take care
why not start off with one type of crochet then teach how to add on this does not feel beginner-friendly more intermediate.
IM SO CONFUSED! WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON RN??
Same
I have a question, is it ok if I use the kind of croching for the first one through the entire scarf?
How do you finish it?
So nice
Omg I have to do a scarf for the fair (4-h) and I didn't know how to do one so thank you
i started to fuckin cry when she started the chain thingy
So helpful thank you!
People are mean, ignore them. This was actually very helpful. The only confusing part was figuring out the "back loop" thing in single crochet line. Once I (kind of) figured it out, I just kept replaying your words and visuals until I got it.
From what I understand it goes like this:
Chain at the very beginning
Single crochet line
Half double crochet line
Double crochet line, in back loops, 3 chains at end before turning over
Double crochet line in both loops, 3 chains at end before turning over
Then repeat starting with single crochet line
Is that right? I am a beginner (pretty much). My grandma taught me the basics about 20 years ago for a few months, and I've only now picked it up again. I am only now learning techniques and vocabulary. You did an excellent job teaching patiently and in a forward moving way. I appreciate that! I only wish you would have done another "pattern set" but that's because I am visual learner. Thanks so much!
The texus ascent is giving 😂
Folks, this is easy if u pay attention to what she's saying & doing. It;s a combination of single crochet (sc), half double (hdc), and double crochet (dc), whether in back loop or in both loops. She's using Caron Simply Soft yarn and size O hook but you can use any yarn & hook you see fit. ROW 1: single crochet, total 15 sts. ROW 2: Half double crochet, then chain 3 at the end. ROW 3: Double crochet in back loops, then chain 3 at the end. ROW 4: Double crochet in both loops, chain 3 at the end. Chain 3 is important as each time you end the row, the last chain goes into the ch 3 of the previous row. She says it's to keep the edges straight.
Ive been crochetting for years and i understand everything shes saying ,but you have to keep in mind for a beginner its confusing and complicated,to learn, ive been doing this for 45yrs and i would never say its easy bc its not ,when i started yrs ago it wasnt easy for me ,so i synpathize with a beginner, you should as well ,just think back when you started how confusing it was
@@cherylgaston479 Your attitude is so negative. Simple basic stitches are not complicated.
What type and size yarn did you use
I was using a book to learn and it helped but learning individual steps isn’t very helpful when you don’t know how to put them together so this was useful but going a little slower would be even better
This is cool
After SEVERAL attempts of trying to do anything crochet related, this is the video that helps me- visually and instructionally. This has been hell to go through and now I'm finally getting it. Thank you so so much.
you explained this well but i think it would help more if you explained how to hold the hook and the string
Slow down can you do one where your not fast like I’m trying here but your going fast and going back is no help😭😭
i've watched a few tutorials, and ive never seen anyone say the loop on the hook counts. that you should only be counting the chains from the hook as the ones in the chain. (FROM the hook) so im feeling confused? because this goes against what ive seen several times. the tutorial is clear right now but im still in the beginning. just confused with the from the hook thing lol
edit: made this scarf, came out beautiful even though i messed up a bit
Thank you for the tutorial,...very beautiful with using the back of the stitch.
My scarf looks exactly like the blue scarf you have
This video is intended for the beginners with basic knowledge. It will not teach you how to do basic stitches; you should have known this already. Google basic stitches, such as single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, chain stitches, learn that and then come back & enjoy.
What kind of a yarn do you use! Thanks
How do you finish when the scarf is long enough?
Thank you
jesant2 защо бърза тлкова много? Начинаещ нищо не може да разбере!??!!!!!!!!!!!
Huh? Hi?
Thx it's so simple and easy 🤩but how many ball of yarn it will take?
Probably 1
You will need one and ahalf balls to make a regular sized one for me I making more of a Barbie scarf so
Thank you for your tutorial
Do we do the loop three after every row, no matter which stitch we are doing?
I have something similar to a crochet hook
I’ve tried this pattern like three separate times now and every time I end up with more or less stitches than what I’m supposed to have even though I do exactly what she says. Is anyone else as confused about this or am I just dumb?
Your smile is beautiful!!!!😃
T this is so hard how can you do we have been doing the same things you have you are doing it in about five seconds I’m trying to make it for one of my teddies but I’ve been trying for weeks and weeks
For some reason this just worked for me, all the other videos didn’t work but this one did.
It made my daughter so happy when she got it,it was a great video!
Thank you for breaking that down, and you seem very patient and sweet.
that's is so easy 😂😍😊

Thanks for making this video so I could learn how to crotchet properly!!! :)
This is a very easy scarf 👍☺️ thanks
Thank you so much.
i dont know why i dont get it i am so frustrated
Okay so question. I want to do this for a school thing I'm doing to make scarves for the Winter Shelter, and I just have one question. It would be really helpful if you answered it. After the double crochet through both loops, how many chains do you do to repeat the single crochet? Is it one? Or three?
you just go into the next stitch and start doing a single chain and go on from there
You kept talking and u didn’t say what u were doing so I got frustrated and I tried again I didn’t see what u were doing
Really? Thanks for the notice!
My scarf ended up being skew so now I am here
lol my mom got me into it
Is anyone responding to questions on this channel?!
Shari Shafii no
So I don’t have a stitch marker. What should I do then?
Ninoska Torres you can make one yourself by using a lobsterclasp and a little thing to add to the end of it
Knitting Crazzy thank you!!
It’s very nicely explained! But I would recommend using a darker/vibrant color of yarn like red or black it makes it easier for us visual learners to see:)
Hi , do u know how many we should chain where the video ends so we can do the single crochet?
if you want to see a good crochet lesson? then you can take a look by vonnes creaties. but it is in dutch because we live in holland. but she explain very good and slow. have a nice evening.
Thanks for this video. I'm trying to make a scarf for my friend.
Can some1 please help. When you start doing the single crochet Row do you always start working into the 2nd stich or you start in the same stitch as the chain?
I think you always start working into the second stitch but I’m not sure
Joined I'm a learner.
She said the rows were single, half, double back and double. Do I chain 3 for every row even once I get back to single?
No, only one when you're starting single and treble rows.
Girl you have beautiful HANDS!
